In recent years, developed and developing country such as U.S., Japan, and China push forward to enhance their manufacturing industry through national policies such as advanced manufacturing(U.S.), Industrie 4.0 (Germany), and Made in China 2025. Also, in Korea, Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy(MOTIE) claimed Manufacturing3.0 for encouraging domestic manufacturing industry. Manufacturing industry plays an important role in encouraging economy and employment. In this paper, we survey, analyze and summarize the current national policy for enhancing manufacturing industry.

Korean food industry has been developed while it receives footlights as the most encouraging industry and composing one axis of food industry under various marketing activities and severe competitions. The purpose of this study was to understand customer's reason to use bakery, extract important factor, systematically analyze and suggest the direction of bakery industry through study on the character of bakery-user. The researcher Modified the Questionnaire developed by Yoon, YH(2000) & Kim, SE(2002). The major findings obtained from this study were as follows. First, on factors of confidence and propriety, price and communication with consumers, product and service, and service response, there was a high difference between male and female. Second, on factors of accessibility & product and service, there was a high difference among disparity of age. Third, on item of confidence and propriety, there was a high difference among customers' residing styles. Fourth, in relation to income level, there was statistically no difference.

The purpose of this study is to examine which factors are encouraging SMEs to participate in uTradeHub(focused on the uTrade search service) in terms of product characteristics and sourcing patterns. The three factors encouraging Trade e-Marketplaces are identified in this study. First, internal factors include the support of top management, mature of IT infrastructure. Second, external factors include the pressure of industry, industry competition, dependence of trading partners. Third perception factors are perceived Usefulness, perceived easy of use. The empirical analysis had the following results. First, it reveals that support of top management, mature of IT infrastructure, industry competition have significant influence upon uTrade Search Services. On the other hand, pressure of industry, dependence of trading partners, Perceived relative benefits are not significant variable of the participation in uTrade Search Services. Second, the factors affecting the participation in uTrade Search Services are differentiated in terms of product characteristics and sourcing patterns. And the support of top management, mature of IT infrastructure, Perceived relative benefits are emphasized very important factors affecting the participation of uTrade Search Services in SMEs. The industry competition is recognized as more important factor in horizontal market in which Spot sourcing just like Operating products is trading. On the other hands, the dependence of trading partners are significant factor in vertical market in which Systemic sourcing just like Manufacturing products is trading.

A rapid increase in population is most likely to become a menace to human existence, and will cause unfavorable effects. Therefore, we must consider it as an urgent task to make use of marine resources in various ways. Korea particularly laks potential resources, so has no other way but to exploit and utilize the resources for its overall economic growth. In therms of these viewpoints. this report studies the constructive measures and programme for promoting Korean marine industry education after reassessing the aspects of marine industry and analyzing the present situation and problems of the Korean science and technology today. Under these circumstances. it is suggested that financial and administrative support be afforded by government and the authorities concerned for the reformation of curriculum and educational system, inverstment growth for improving educational environments and research conditions. In addition, administrators and teachers are expected to exert their utmost efforts to bring ahout encouraging results in the marine industry education.

Increasing the amount of filler in paper is of high interest for paper industry while maintaining its key sheet quality properties. In this study, a MFC-GCC composite, made through a co-grinding NBSK (Northern bleached softwood kraft) pulp with a ground calcium carbonate (Intracarb 60), was used as a strength aid in paper in order to evaluate a potential cost reduction through filler increase without sacrificing paper quality. Hand-sheets were made of NBSK and/or eucalyptus pulp by using white water recirculation in a Tappi sheet former and was compared its properties without or with MFC additions at different filler levels. It was found that the MFC-GCC composite has a large surface area compared to the fiber, allowing the formation of more hydrogen bonds in the web, thus giving natural strength to the paper. Overall results are encouraging that the MFC-GCC composite allows papermaker to reduce basis weight and maintain critical sheet properties.

This study aims to explore the developing strategies of knowledge based industry in ChunChon Area. This study suggests several strategies for promoting local development in Chunchon Area as follows ; first, building of local innovation system in chunchon area and convergence and diffusion of knowledge based industries. second, making of industrial environment suitable to developing knowledge based industries. third, the establishment of overall industrial supporting systems. fourth, expansion of industrial infra and prevention of the brain drain. fifth, transformation of industrial complex into innovation clusters. The result of this study will be useful for the chief executives officers to make more rational decision making for industrial developing strategies is related to the Knowledge based Industries. The paper also strives to provoke debate in this area with to encouraging further research on the topic.

The air transportation industry in Korea has grown very fast in aspect of the transportation scale as much as entering within the tenth in the world. However, as compared with the air transportation industry, the civil aviation pilots training has been performed at very low level in quantity and quality because of the high cost of pilots training, nation security, limited airspace use and falling behind of the science technology in relation to the aviation industry. In result, the number of airline pilots became lower than actual demands of both airlines, KAL and ASIANA. This produced many foreign captains employed, airline pilots overloaded and finally affected flight safety. In this paper, it was studied the actual reality and problems of civil aviation pilots training and presented the encouraging policies for civil aviation pilots training in Korea.

Purpose Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a core technology, leading the 4th industrial revolution. This study aims to diagnose the Korean's national competitiveness for AI technologies through patent analyses. Design/methodology/approach In this study, KIWEE and Derwent Innovation databases were used as data source of patents. we extracted 10,510 AI patents data with keywords and classified them into 15 subcategories of AI technology. We executed patent analyses for activity index, patent intensity index, technology strength, and patent family size and diagnosed Korea's national competitiveness in AI industry. Findings The results showed that Korea is less competitive than the United States and Japan in AI industry. However, patent amount has increased since 2010, which is encouraging result. This study has implication on the need for human and R&D investment in AI industry.

The Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) (the Act) is a unique form of statutory regulation for the building and construction industry, which gives virtually all industry participants a statutory right to, and a means of recovering, payments for work done under a construction contract. The research aim is to examine current trends in adjudication applications and determinations under the Act. The research reveals: (a) that the adjudication process is encouraging parties to resolve disputes as to payment (b) that there is low level of awareness and understanding of the provisions of the Act, particularly amongst subcontractors; (c) that claimants making small claims experience a high rate of success at adjudication; and (d) that the indirect cost of adjudication is becoming problematic.
