Effects of Single Consumers' Psychologic Characteristics and Susceptibility to Interpersonal Influence on Clothes Shopping Pursuing Value (싱글 소비자의 심리적 특성변수와 대인영향력에 대한 민감성이 의류쇼핑 추구가치에 미치는 영향)

  • Many researchers have focused on consumers' clothes purchase behavior, These researches could not reflect the characteristics of the single consumers' clothes purchase behavior. In addition, little has been written on the single consumer. The purposes of this study are to identify the concept and psychologic characteristics of single consumer and investigate the effects of single consumers' psychologic characteristic and susceptibility to interpersonal influence on clothes shopping pursuing value. Also, It was analyzed how single consumer' pursuing values are different based on the type of single motivation. To test research problems, Data were collected by means of a survey questionnaire, which was sent to 300 single in Pusan and Ulsan. In total, 274 were returned and 14 were unusable because of unacceptable levels of missing data. The Results were summarized as follows: First, self-efficacy, informative and normative influence were positively related to utilitarian pursuing value employee satisfaction. Also, self-efficacy, variety seeking, innovativeness and informative influence had a positive effect on hedonic pursuing value. Second, voluntary single and nonvoluntary single group had different perceptions about self-efficacy, variety seeking, innovativeness, informative influence, and hedonic pursuing value.

The Effects of Family-Friendly Culture on Employees' Work-Family Balance and Qualities of Lives (가족친화적 조직문화가 근로자의 일-가족 조화와 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • The main objective of this study was to examine the effects of family-friendly culture in various organizations in the private sectors on employee self-reported work-family balance and qualities of lives. It also attempted to clarify whether employee perceived work-family culture would vary according to size and type of organization, gender, and dual career partnership. The data came from 365 married full-time workers employed in a wide variety of organizations located in Seoul and GyeongGi-Do. The major findings of this study were as follows: Work-family culture was perceived more family-friendly in large-sized organizations and consumer industries. Female employees and workers in dual-career partnerships perceived the work-family culture of their organizations less family-friendly. The hierarchical multiple regression analyses revealed that firm size, supervisory support for employees' family activities, and the perception of negative career development opportunities as a consequence of utilizing family-friendly policies significantly predicted employees' work-family balance and qualities of lives, while organizational time demands having no significant effects on them. The implications of study results were discussed.

  • Business environment, competition among firms in recent years, diverse and fragmented by the symbol of the consumer has become very complex and intense. Nevertheless, for the best performance of firms differentiated their company strives to have unique core competencies. In this study, reviewing the internal customer support activities and existing research on market orientation and then how it affects the future strategy for the internal customer support activities. Through the results of this study, first, to appear understanding of the effect of education and training to customers in enterprise-wide, strategic plan through competitor analysis, improved communication between departments, etc need to design to be effective in performance of company in a long term when in planning and training for employees such as job training, service training and training for improving service mind. Second, employment stability and internal communications to the employee's customer orientation showed no significant affect. This is considered for employees due to lack of fear or anxiety, so the employer could focus on his role in the current organization willing to participate actively for goals of the organization. Finally external customer orientation in the employee's customer orientation did not affect the analysis results which is appeared to in companies are constantly communicating with employees through the company's position and the difference between the employee's position is necessary to look for ways to narrow down.

Factors that Influence Middle-aged People's Retirement Planning and Financial Preparation for Old Age (중년층의 은퇴설계 및 노후 경제적 준비 여부에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence middle-aged people's retirement planning and financial preparation for old age. The data was derived from "the National Survey of Families 2015". The samples included 1,462 people from 40 to 64 years of age. The findings from the analysis showed that the level of retirement planning was significantly associated with gender, age, education level, employment status, monthly family income, monthly expenditure on spending to support parents, and perceived household economic condition. When the samples were divided by sex, the results showed that the perceived household economic condition was the most significant factor for both men and women's level of retirement planning. Age and education level were the significant factors for women's level of retirement planning but not for men's. Logistic regression was used to analyze whether middle-aged people made financial preparation for old age. For the whole sample, whether or not a person was a regular employee, monthly family income, monthly expenditure on supporting parents, perceived household economic condition, and retirement planning were significant variables in determining financial preparation. For men, whether or not a person was a regular employee, monthly family income, perceived household economic condition, and retirement planning were significant factors, for women whether or not a person was a regular employee, and retirement planning were the significant factors in determining financial preparation. The results implied that retirement planning is needed for middle-aged people to prepare for old age financially while the financial preparation should differ depending on sex.

Research on the Consumer's Delivery Service Quality Perception and Satisfaction in Foodservice Industry Based on the Types of Food-related Life-style (식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 외식업체 배달서비스의 품질 지각 및 만족도 연구)

  • In this study, the fast-growing market in the Food Service Industry Study of the delivery service. The first objective of this study is to classify consumers food-related lifestyle and the second is the dimension of the delivery service quality will derive. According to the consumer's food-related life style, make about the consumer's delivery service quality perception and satisfaction to evaluate the differences. Food-related lifestyle 'health seeking type', 'fashion pursuit type', 'type taste pursue', 'seek safety-type', 'seek convenience-type' was separated, cluster analysis 'taste pursuit group', 'high-interest in foods group', 'seek convenience-group' were classified. Delivery service quality 'food quality', 'economic', 'ease of ordering', 'employee quality', 'sanitation', 'order quality' and were classified into six. That of 'food quality' and 'economic' factor were significantly different from the consumer group, but also the 'order quality', 'food quality', 'sanitation' and the order of the large degree of influence on satisfaction, respectively.

The Gap between Social Stratification in the Aftermath of the 1997 Financial Crisis: The Change of Living Conditions and Daily Life as a Consumer. (외환위기 이후 계층의 양극화: 변화된 일상과 소비생활)

  • This study examines the changes of income, everyday life and living condition of consumer in the aftermath of financial crisis. In this period financial crisis was the crucial factor behind various social problems such as the dissolution of families and individuals. This research explores the range and degree of impact on individuals and social groups after the financial crisis. We explore the social mobility in terns of maintaining middle class and falling into the lower class measured by middle class identification. The 60% of the middle class before the financial crisis maintained the middle class position and the rest of people left out of middle class and fell into lower class. The 60% of those who has been maintained and has just became the members of middle class were college - educated people. The great part of people whose income and assets has increased after financial crisis belongs to college - educated group. Many of those whose income have decreased belong to the high school educated group and blow, the older than 50 years old, self - employed without employee and unpaid family employee. Those whose income and assets decreased and those who experienced downward mobility have undergone changes in everyday life and living conditions as a consumer. Many of them experienced the unemployment, nonpayment or credit - delinquency, dissolution of family, worsening health condition, depression, feeling the impulse to commit suicide simultaneously. The poor consumer disposition, reduction of living expenses, sound consumer culture have expanded to people since economic crisis. The middle class reported that the cost of private education often goes beyond the family ability to pay. The lower class has suffered from the cost of living. In a meanwhile luxury goods preference, consumer consciousness for status symbol have continuously increased among all the classes since 1997. Thus fluctuations of one's income and social mobility during past 10 years were some of the major determinants which brought about the various damaging life events, changes of living conditions and everyday lives as a consumer.

  • Today, the consumer complaining behavior is recognized as a valuable source of marketing information in the company. Therefore, studies on the factors that lead to consumer complaints have been done. In the previous research on consumer complaining behavior, the factors influencing the complaining behavior was focused on the personal characteristics, but factors under company control was rarely identified. We try to identify factors under company's control that have a effect on the likelihood of success of complaining and complaining perceived costs. These factors are tendency to compensate emotionally, tendency to compensate materially, accessibility to complain, empowerment to manage complaint. Through empirical analysis, we proposed company's strategies to encourage consumer's complaint and gave theoretical and managerial implications.

  • This study examined the effects of job involvement, job stress, and organizational culture on work-life harmonization of Korean employees. The data came from 481 employees in diverse organizations located in Seouland the metropolitan area. Key findings of the study were (a) job involvement was significantly different for different types of occupation and job positions, while job stress was significantly different based on gender, education, income, and the term of service; (b) perceptions of organizational culture by employees varied according to gender, age, position, the period of service, and firm size; (c) the level of work-life harmonization was not significantly different based on gender, age, marital status, education, and income - but it did differ significantly based on types of occupation and firm size; (d) the employee's type of education, job involvement, job stress, and organizational culture have effects on work-life harmonization.

Impulse Buying Behavior in Distribution Centers of Kathmandu

  • Purpose: The study's primary objective was to pinpoint the variables impacting consumers' impulsive purchasing decisions in the distribution centers in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Research design, data, and methodology: The independent variables used to identify consumer impulse buying behavior were the in-store displays, store employee behavior, reference groups, and promotional activities. A 6-point Likert scale questionnaire was employed for collecting the primary data from customers at the retail center of Kathmandu. The study's sample size was 396, employing a convenient sampling method. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Analysis of a Moment Structures (AMOS) have been used to show the relationships between dependent and independent variables. Results: The outcome of the path analysis using structural equation modeling demonstrates that in-store displays, reference groups, and store employees' behavior significantly influence the customers' impulse buying decisions in the distribution center. Additionally, it has been discovered that promotional activities have no significant impact on consumers' impulsive purchasing decisions made at the retail center of Kathmandu. Conclusions and Implications: The study's findings indicate that the actions of store personnel, reference groups, and in-store displays significantly contribute to the acceleration of impulsive purchases. Such findings provide researchers and business executives with a road map for the future.

The Improvement of Related Legal Systems of Community Facilities for Community Activation (커뮤니티 활성화를 위한 주민공동시설 관련 법적 제도 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest improvements to the related regulations of community facilities for community activation by analyzing the current situations and problems of the related regulations of community facilities in apartment housing complexes. To provide the improvement, we took contents analysis about community facilities for activation of the community. We interviewed a national civil servant, a local civil servant and an employee at Daiwa house in Japan, and conducted a field survey of community facilities in Japan during July 20-23, 2010. The main findings of this study were as following; there were problems that the related regulations of community facilities didn't reflect the characteristics of residents and community. Therefore, it was necessary to improve the related regulations to reflect the characteristics of residents and community. So the current standards were revised by local government ordinance. Community centers were not installed in each housing complex, but were installed to share with several housing complexes. Regional community centers are needed for activation of regional communities as with the Baycore Civil center.
