  • This study examines effect in customer satisfaction of the emotional intelligence of members at service providing department in the hotel; A case of five star hotels in Dajeon Research hypotheses were developed based on previous literature, and data were collected from 350 employees working at the hotel restaurant service business located in Daejeon, ROK, were investigated herein The collected data were then analysed using frequence reliability For this research analysis, a self-recording method was used where and examiner explains the survey and respondents writhen down their answers to survey questions Statistical processing in this study was done through data cidubg and data cleaning then with the SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science)v. 18.0. This result the emotional intelligence of service-providing employees at food service department of hotel was found to have a positive effect on customer satisfaction via understanding of others and emotional control. And the understanding of oneself, understanding of others and emotional control in emotional intelligence had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Emotional control, and emotioal use were found to affect organizational commitment positively.

Smart Emotional Lighting Control System based on Mobile (모바일 기반의 스마트 감성조명 제어 시스템)

  • This paper proposes the smart emotion lighting control system of a mobile-based. The proposed smart emotional lighting control system to reduce the emotional lighting device, internal heat and the power consumption was configured to the android platform mobile device and zigbee module, emotional lighting device, lighting control module, power supply, and general-purpose transistor. The mobile device was to transmit the real-time control information to the emotional lighting device when connected to the system, and it was designed to control the emotion lighting device based on the control messages and status monitoring. In this paper, the efficiency verification results of the proposed smart emotional lighting control system showed that it was possible to control by emotion lighting control and the color temperature variable. The heating value and the power consumption could be reduced by21% and up to 48%, because of the controlled lighting using emotion language.

The Effects of Maternal Emotional Availability on Preschooler's Social Skills and Problem Behaviors: The Mediating Effects of Preschooler's Effortful Control (어머니의 정서적 가용성이 유아의 사회적 기술 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향: 유아 의도적 통제의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the mediating effects of preschooler's effortful control on the relationship between maternal emotional availability and preschooler's social skills and problem behaviors. One hundred-thirty six 5-year-old preschoolers and their mothers participated in this study. Instruments for this study were the Emotional Availability Scale for maternal emotional availability, the Delay task, and the Child Behavior Questionnaire for preschooler's effortful control, and the Social Skill Rating Scale, K-CBCL 1.5-5 and K-TRF for preschooler's social skills and problem behaviors. The resulting data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, partial correlation, and structural equation modeling analysis. As predicted, the preschooler's effortful control mediated the effects of maternal emotional availability on preschooler's social skills and problem behaviors. In conclusion, the preschooler's effortful control mediates the effects of emotion related socialization behavior on the preschooler's socio-emotional adjustment.

Smartphone Addiction, Emotional Intelligence, and Self-control in College Students (대학생의 스마트폰 중독수준과 정서지능, 자기통제력과의 관계)

  • Purpose: University life is a very significant period for students, during which they have to nurture their personality to help them adapt to life after graduation. However, excessive use of smartphones has been observed to causes increasingly severe isolation and unstable emotional conditions among students. Therefore, this descriptive study aimed to identify the level of smartphone addiction in college students and its relationship with their emotional intelligence and self-control. Method: A total of 232 college students participated in the study. A, questionnaire was used, which comprised 59 structured questions on smartphone addiction (15 questions), emotional intelligence (23 questions), and self-control (21 questions). Results: The findings revealed that the addiction rate of the subjects was at a marked 25.5%. This was higher than that of Korean adults in 2012, (11%). Further, the higher the addiction level, the lower was the participants' emotional intelligence (r=-0.177, p<0.007) and self-control (r=-0.418, p<0.001). Furthermore, when their emotional intelligence was higher, so was their self-control (r=.502, p<.001). Conclusion: Those at a high risk for smartphone addiction need to be identified early, and an appropriate. Program needs to be developed to prevent such addiction.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to determine oriental medical concept of emotional intelligence, and to develop the ways of treatment. Methods We investigated the literature of the oriental and western medicine about an emotional intelligence. Results Regarding an emotional intelligence from the oriental medicine, it will follow in attributes of five elements(五行), five emotions(五志), seven passions(七情). Due to the five emotions and seven passions will take to control themselves with following the principle of poles at interinhibition, and intergeneration among the five phases. There is a possibility of trying to apply in reflection control of emotion(partIV). Five emotions(五志), depression theories(鬱症), and a control of theories of seven passions(七情調節) will be applied an emotional stability and an emotional control. Conclusions This study showed that oriental medicine has more merits better than western medicine about emotional intelligence, because oriental medicine consider that the body and mental is an inseparable relation. The further study is necessary with the concept formulation and for a historical investigation about an emotional intelligence.

The Effects of Plant Raising Activities in Home Upon School Student' Emotion Intelligence (가정내 식물 가꾸기 활동이 초등학생들의 정서지능에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of raising plants at home on elementary school students' emotional intelligence. The experimental group in the post-test showed significant differences in all the domains of emotional perception, emotional expression, emotional empathy, emotional control, emotional application, compared to the control group, which indicated that the activity of raising plants at home has positive effects on the emotional intelligence of high graders in elementary school. Even in the change of students' emotional intelligence according to their gender, male students in the experimental group had higher average values more than the control group, showing significant differences in all the domains of emotional perception, emotional expression, emotional empathy, emotional control, emotional application. Female students in the experimental group had the same tendency. Accordingly, as a result of this study, it was found that the activity of raising plants at home has positive effects on the improvement of elementary school high graders' emotional intelligence.

The Effect of the Health Control Behavior of the Elderly on the Emotional Happiness

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of health control behaviors on the emotional happiness of the elderly. Among the survey instruments used in this study, emotional hapiness was the tool developed by Watson et al., 1978, and health control behavior was used by tools developed by Wallston et al., in 1988. Health control behaviors consist of three sub-factors: other health control behavior, accidental health control behavior, and internal health control behavior. The data collection period was collected from June 20 to July 5, 2018. A total of 152 participants were enrolled from 65 to 85 years old and were collected from six provinces of Korea (Seoul, Gangwon Province, Gyeongsang Province, Jeolla Province, Chungcheong Province, Gyeonggi Province) as much as possible. As a result of the analysis of demographic characteristics, the number of elderly people couple living was 47.4%, living alone was 21.1%, the number of people living with a couple and their children was 13.8%, the others were 10.5%. Based on the above results, 21.1% were living alone as an elderly person. And people who the highest monthly income of less than 1 million won was 36.8%, the usual meal type, 94.7% were very much eaten with vegetarianism smoking and drinking alcohol, and 94.7% did not smoke and 73.7% drank alcohol. In conclusion, Multiple regression analysis of health control behaviors on emotional happiness showed that health control behaviors had a 15% effect on emotional happiness. The following suggestions were made through the results of this study. First, the monthly income of the elderly is very low to maintain health, Second, the health of elderly people was maintained through friends and meetings. Based on these results, it should be used as a basic data for the program for the emotional happiness of the elderly.

  • This study examined the relationships between children's perceptions of mother's psychological control, and children's behavior problems(depression, anxiety, withdrawal, and aggression). In order to expand the study on the relationships, special attention was given to the possible mediator effects of children's emotional autonomy on the relationships. The subjects were 293 6th graders residing in Cheonan. It was found that children's perceptions of mother's psychological control was significantly related with the level of children's depression, anxiety, withdrawal, and aggression. Children's emotional autonomy were found to be a significant mediator of the relationship between mother's psychological control and children's depression and aggression. No significant mediator effect of emotional autonomy was found in the relationship between mother's psychological control and children's withdrawal and anxiety.

  • This study examined the relationships of parental behavior control recognized by children and its effect on children's emotional intelligence and conflict resolution strategies in their peer friendships. Subjects were 521 $5^{th}$, $6^{th}$ grade elementary school Children in seoul. Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation, multiple regression and path analysis. Result showed that parents' control of children's behavior affected children's conflict resolution strategies in peer friendships and affected their emotional intelligence. Path analysis showed that control by parents, demand for maturity and clarity of communication directly affected compromising-integrating strategies. Parental control was affected directly by dominating strategies. Controlling behavior by demand of maturity, clarity of communication and nurture influenced compromising-integrating, avoidance and concession strategies of children's emotional intelligence.

  • As an information technology is developed, more intelligent system considering emotional factor for implementing the personality is required. In this paper, Reactive Learning Inference System considering emotional factor is proposed. Emotional Facter(E) is defined for a criterion for representing the personal preference. This system is designed to have functions of Reactive filtering by Emotional factor, Incremental learning, perception & inference and knowledge retrieval. This system is applied to the area for analysis of customer's tastes and its performance is analyzed and compared.
