The purpose of this study is to investigate the nature of the experience of Emotion Focused Psychology Coaching, and what kind of changes happened for the participants through the experience. For this, in-depth interviews were conducted with four participants who had experienced five sessions of Emotion Focused Psychology Coaching. The interviews were analyzed using the phenomenological analysis method of Colaizzi. Emotion Focused Psychology Coaching is a new coaching psychology model that combines Greenberg's Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the ICF Core Competencies. The findings show that prior to the experience of Emotion Focused Psychology Coaching, the participants had avoided or suppressed their emotions, which in turn prevented them from exploring effective interpersonal relationships or alternatives in their actions. On the other hand, after they experienced Emotion Focused Psychology Coaching, their perception of emotions, emotion regulation, emotional expression, empathy for the other, etc. were developed in adaptive ways and the participants could present effective alternatives.
There are a lot of interest and research on practical area of marine leisure but few research on fundamental area. We need to suggest the theoretical basis on the merit of marine leisure. The author analyzed in visual and audio informations of seashore environment based on psychology of emotion aesthetically and musically. As a results, Peoples could get affirmative emotion through participating in seashore relaxation and changed their negative emotion into affirmative.
This study was to examine the relationship between temperament and children's emotion regulation with negative emotion. Following are the purposes of this research. First, children's temperament and negative emotion, and emotion regulation was found based on children's sex and age difference. Second, if there is a relationship between children's temperament and children's negative emotion and emotion regulation. The subjects of this study were 213 students who were in 8, 10, 12 ages of elementary school in Mokpo. The scales used in this study was Buss & Plomin(1975)'s EAS(Emotionality, Activity, Sociability, Impulsivity) and Brand & Halpern(1998)'s ERACH(Emotion Response and Coping Interview). The data analysis was made by SPSS PC+, and average, two-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, correlation and were employed to test the research questions. As a result of this research a difference in age was found, and a difference in sex was not found. Children's temperament was in positive relation with anger and emotion approach. This research will assist to make the foundation of counseling psychology and developmental psychology.
Emotion regulation has been suggested as a pathway through which personality traits (e.g., extraversion or neuroticism) affect psychological well-being. However, the pathway needs further investigation across cultures due to variations in parts of the relationship reported in recent culture research. With an aim of improving current understanding of the pathway, we investigated the role of emotion regulation mediating the link between personality traits and well-being across two college samples from different cultural backgrounds: Korea and the United States (US). Results of mediation analysis revealed that the extraversion-well-being relationship was fully mediated by the degree to which individuals regulate negative emotions in both Korean and US samples. However, the neuroticism-well-being relationship was partially mediated by emotion regulation in the US sample, while it was fully mediated in the Korean sample. The role of emotion regulation differently functioning across cultures suggests the importance of investigating cultural-specific mechanism of psychological processes.

Objective This study evaluated the psychometric properties of the Korean Anxiety Screening Assessment (K-ANX) developed for screening anxiety disorders. Methods Data from 613 participants were analyzed. The K-ANX was evaluated for reliability using Cronbach's alpha, item-total correlation, and test information curve, and for validity using focus group interviews, factor analysis, correlational analysis, and item characteristics based on item response theory (IRT). The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of the K-ANX were compared with those of the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7). Results The K-ANX showed excellent internal consistency (${\alpha}=0.97$) and item-total coefficients (0.92-0.97), and a one-factor structure was suggested. All items were highly correlated with the total scores of the BAI, GAD-7, and Penn State Worry Questionnaire. IRT analysis indicated the K-ANX was most informative as a screening tool for anxiety disorders at the range between 0.8 and 1.6 (i.e., top 21.2 to 5.5 percentiles). Higher sensitivity (0.795) and specificity (0.937) for identifying anxiety disorders were observed in the K-ANX compared to the BAI and GAD-7. Conclusion The K-ANX is a reliable and valid measure to screen anxiety disorders in a Korean sample, with greater sensitivity and specificity than current measures of anxiety symptoms.
The aim of the experimental studies described in this paper is to investigate the effects of the face/eye/mouth areas using dynamic facial expressions and static facial expressions on emotional recognition. Using seven-seconds-displays, experiment 1 for basic emotions and experiment 2 for complex emotions are executed. The results of two experiments supported that the effects of dynamic facial expressions are higher than static one on emotional recognition and indicated the higher emotional recognition effects of eye area on dynamic images than mouth area. These results suggest that dynamic properties should be considered in emotional study with facial expressions for not only basic emotions but also complex emotions. However, we should consider the properties of emotion because each emotion did not show the effects of dynamic image equally. Furthermore, this study let us know which facial area shows emotional states more correctly is according to the feature emotion.

It is difficult to understand a person's emotion, since it is subjective and vague. Therefore, we are proposing a method by which will effectively classify human emotions into two types (that is, single emotion and composition emotion). To verify validity of te proposed method, we conducted two experiments based on general inference and $\alpha$-cut, and compared the experimental results. In the first experiment emotions were classified according to fuzzy inference. On the other hand in the second experiment emotions were classified according to $\alpha$-cut. Our experimental results showed that the classification of emotion based on a- cut was more definite that that based on fuzzy inference.

Positive affect has beneficial consequences in various life domains including social relational aspect. This study proposes that 'joy,' a highly arousing positive social emotion, promotes emotionally supportive reactions during a social interaction. In Study 1, after controlling for confounding personality characteristics (e.g., extraversion, agreeableness, adult attachment) and cognitive variables (e.g., empathy, self-esteem), positive affect predicted the amount of emotional support and enthusiasm one showed to a person who was describing a positive experience. The arousal dimension of positive emotion appeared to be the key in creating this outcome. Study 2 found that people were most likely to react in supportive ways (e.g., more laughing, emotion sharing, and active-constructive responses) to other's conversation after viewing a joy-inducing (rather than pride, awe, calm) film clip. These results partly explain why happy people are socially popular and suggest that one of the central functions of "joy" is to promote social bonding with others.
In this paper, we propose a behavior decision model for a robot, which is based on artificial emotion, various motivations and dynamic personality. Our goal is making a robot which can express its emotion human-like way. To achieve this goal, we applied several emotion and personality theories in psychology. Especially, we introduced the concept of dynamic personality model for a robot. Drawing on this concept, we could make a behavior decision model so that the emotion expression of the robot has adaptability to various environments through interactions between human and the robot.
This study investigated the structural relationships between attachment, social competence, and emotion regulation. A survey was administered to 233 children of elementary school age(5th-6th grades) in G-city, Korea, using the IPPA-R, the Social Competence Inventory and an Emotion Regulation Scale. The collected data were then analyzed using a Canonical Correlation Analysis. First, the relationship between attachment and social competence was analyzed. The results showed that attachment and social competence have a positively correlated relationship. Peer attachments strongly affect the attributes of social competence when using a canonical variate analysis. Secondly, the relationship between attachment and emotional regulation was analyzed. The results showed that attachment and emotion regulation are also positively correlated. Maternal attachment particularly strongly affected the attributes of emotion regulation. Thirdly, the relationship between social competence and emotional regulation was analyzed. The results showed that social competence and emotional regulation have a positive relationship.
