  • This paper describes an embedded system to put a SoC actuator IP in motion and linux drivers. The If that a embedded linux among embedded OS is ported is implemented as linux driver. The actuator IP is controlled by application programming. To make users use this easily, a QT is ported on the system. Application program can operate the actuator IP device driver on TFT LCD.

  • In this paper, we have characterizations of almost P-spaces which are analogous characterizations of P-spaces and we will show that if X is an almost P-space such that it is $C^{*}-embedded$ in every almost P-space in which X is embedded, then $$\mid${\upsilon}X-X$\mid${\leq}1$ and that if $$\mid${\upsilon}X-X$\mid${\leq}1$ and ${\upsilon}X$ is Lindelof, then for any almost P-space Y in which X is dense embedded, then X is $C^{*}-embeded$ in Y.

  • 소프트웨어 개발 시 코딩 규칙을 준수하면 소프트웨어에 잠재적으로 존재하는 프로그래밍 오류를 예방하는데 많은 도움이 된다. MISRA-C: 2004 는 고 신뢰성과 고품질이 요구되는 자동차, 우주항공, 통신, 등 제조분야에 대한 C언어 코딩 가이드 라인이다. 본 논문에서는 자동차와 우주항공같이 높은 안전성이 요구되는 원격 수소시스템을 타깃으로 하여 정적 분석한다. 그리고 분석 결과 발견된 오류 중 가장 빈번히 일어나는 오류에 대한 문제점을 분석하고 소프트웨어 품질 개선을 위하여 프로그래머들의 코딩 규칙 준수를 권장한다.

  • The SoC and digital technology development recently enabled the emergence of information devices and control devices because the SoC present many advantages such as lower power consumption, greater reliability, and lower cost. It is required to use an embedded operating system for building control systems. So far, the Real-Time operating system is widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, Real-Time operating systems reveal a lack of standards, expensive development, and license costs. Embedded Linux is able to overcome these disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform using Real-Time Embedded Linux is described. As a control system platform, we use XScale of a Soc and build Real-Time control platform using RTAI and Real-Time device driver. Finally, we address the feasibility study of the Real-Time Embedded Linux as a Real-Time operating system for mobile robots.

  • This paper focuses on the implementation of hand held typeARM11 Platform for gas sensor based on Embedded Linux OS. The S3C6400, which is ARM11 architecture based, is the key component of the ARM11 Platform, Bluetooth is adapted to consist the network for the wireless transmission of environmental data between a sensor node and hand held type ARM11 Platform. Linux is ported to the Platform, QT/embedded is used for the application development.

  • Interfacial properties and electrical sensing for fiber fracture in carbon and SiC fibers/epoxy composites were investigated by the electrical resistance measurement and fragmentation test. As fiber-embedded angle increased, interfacial shear strength (IFSS) of two-type fiber composites decreased, and the elapsed time was long to the infinity in electrical resistivity. The initial slope of electrical resistivity increased rapidly to the infinity at higher angle, whereas electrical resistivity increased gradually at small angle. Furthermore, both fiber composites with small embedded angle showed a fully-developed stress whitening pattern, whereas both composites with higher embedded angle exhibited a less developed stress whitening pattern. As embedded angle decreased, the gap between the fragments increased and the debonded length was wider for both fiber composites. Electro-micromechanical technique can be a feasible nondestructive evaluation to measure interfacial sensing properties depending on the fiber-embedded angle in conductive fiber reinforced composites.

A Lightweight Packet Filter for Embedded System (임베디드 시스템을 위한 경량의 패킷필터)

  • The advance of computer and communication technologies enables the embedded systems to be equipped with the network communication interfaces. Their appearance in network leads to security issues on the embedded systems. An easy way to overcome the security problem is to adopt the packet filter that is implemented in the general computer systems. However, general packet filters designed for host computers are not suitable to embedded systems because of their complexity. In this paper, we propose a lightweight packet filter for embedded systems. The lightweight packet filter is implemented in the kernel code. And we have installed a Web-GUI interface for user to easily set the filtering policies at remote space. The experimental results show that the proposed packet filter decreases the packet delivery time compared to the packet filter designed for host computers and it is comparable to the systems without packet filter.

C2JNI: An Embedded C to JNI Translator (C2JNI: 내장 C 언어에서 JNI 코드를 생성하는 변환기)

  • Java, a platform independent object-oriented programming language, is widely used, however it should be integrated with JNI to use system services or to reuse legacy systems. Though JNI provides the standard APIs which allow Java to be combined with C/$C^{++}$, it is very hard and cumbersome for developers to use JNI APIs. In order to address this problem, we introduce a translator named C2JNI, which converts the embedded C program into a JNI compatible C program. With C2JNI, developers can Integrate Java and C programs without JNI APIs, and it will reduce the complexity caused by JNI APIs.

  • The SoC and digital technology development recently enabled the emergence of information devices and control devices because the SoC presents many advantages such like lower power consumption, greater reliability, and lower cost. However, it is nearly impossible to use the SoC without operating systems because the SoC is included with many peripherals and complex architecture. It is required to use embedded operating systems and real-time operating systems may be used as an embedded operating system. So far, real-time operating systems are widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, real-time operating systems have disadvantages including a lack of standards, expensive development, and license. Embedded Linux is able to overcome their disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform for a mobile robot using real-time Embedded Linux is described. As a control hardware system platform, XScale board is used. As the real-time Embedded Linux, RTAI is adopted which is open source and royalty free, and supports various architectures and real-time devices, such like real-time CAN and real-time COM. This paper shows the implementation of RTAI on XScale board that means the porting procedure. We also applied the control system platform to the mobile robot and compared the Real-Time serial driver with non real-time serial driver. Experimental results show that that using RTAI is useful to build real-time control system with powerful functionalities of Linux.

Capacitance-Voltage Characterization of Ge-Nanocrystal-Embedded MOS Capacitors (Ge 나노입자가 형성된 MOS 캐패시터의 캐패시턴스와 전압 특성)

  • Capacitance versus voltage (C-V) curves of Ge-nanocrystal (NC)-embedded MOS capacitors with and without a single capping Al2O3 layer are characterized in this work. C-V curves of the Ge-NC-embedded MOS capacitor with the A12O3 layer are counterclockwise in the voltage sweeps, which indicates tile presence of charge storages in the Ge NCs by the tunnelling of charge carriers between the Si substrate and the Ge NCs. In the Ge-NC-embedded MOS capacitor without Al2O3 layer, clockwise hysteresis of the C-V curves and leftward shifts of the flat band voltages are observed for the embedded MOS capacitor without the Al2O3 layer. It is suggested that the characteristics of the C-V curves are due to the charge trapping at oxygen vacancies within a SiO2 layer. In addition, the illumination of the white light enhances the lower capacitance part of the C-V hysteresis. The origin for the enhancement is discussed in this paper.
