Basic Study on the Establishment of AI Convergence Education Room (인공지능융합교육실 구축에 관한 기초연구)

  • In this paper, the information education plan of the Ministry of Education and offices of education was analyzed in relation to the construction of the AI convergence education room. And based on this, an appropriate construction direction was suggested. For research, AI convergence education room construction plan, budget amount per school and etc were analyzed in the information education plan of the Ministry of Education, KERIS, KOFAC, and the plan of leading schools for AI education. Although the Ministry of Education is making various efforts to promote SW education and artificial intelligence convergence education, it is found that the number is far insufficient compared to the number of elementary, middle and high schools. Efforts to expand the information education room at the government level are continuously required, and in order to utilize the developed artificial intelligence convergence education room, it is necessary to provide abundant teaching and learning examples for the construction space model. In addition, school-level planning and execution must be followed so that the constructed space can be used appropriately, and management and maintenance plans for equipment are required.

  • Recently, as interest in programming and artificial intelligence has increased, software education has been compulsory from elementary school. In order to achieve this goal of programming education, it is necessary to basically establish a lab environment suitable for students and teachers. However, there is a problem with performance problems caused by old computers in the lab environment of the school, and there is a problem that students must purchase and use the existing online platform while implementing an algorithm contest program in which students access and evaluate their problem-solving ability at the same time. Therefore, in this paper, to solve this problem, we propose a web-based online practice environment and algorithm contest scoring system using React and Spring boot. Through this, it is believed that even in a computer with low specifications, programming can be studied using only a web browser.

A Design and Demonstration of Future Technology IT Humanities Convergence Education Model (미래기술 IT인문학 융복합 교육모델 설계 및 실증)

  • Humanities are as crucial as the technology itself in the intelligent information society. Human-centered convergence information technology (IT), which reflects emotional and human nature, can be considered a unique technology with an optimistic outlook in the unpredictable future. Based on this research background, this paper proposed an education model that can improve the IT humanities capabilities of various learners, including elementary and secondary students, prospective teachers, incumbent teachers, school managers, and the general public, through analysis of previous studies on convergence education models. Furthermore, the practical aspects of the proposed model were closely examined so that the proposed education model could be stably incorporated and utilized in the educational field. There are seven strategies for implementing the education model proposed in this paper, including research on textbooks, teaching and learning materials, activation of research results, maker space creation, global joint research, online education operation, developing living lab governance, and diversification of self-sustaining platforms for sustainable and practical education. In the future, validity verification through expert Delphi is required as a follow-up study.

A Study on the Activation Strategies of the Inclusive Education and Disability Empathy Culture in the Information Society

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the activation strategies of the inclusive education by sharing information & communication and creating a social disability empathy culture through literature review so that students with disabilities who receive inclusive education in general schools can get along with good friends and participate actively in various school or class events. The results of this study were as follows. First, in terms of volunteer activities of students without disabilities, the meaning, role, and activation strategies of inclusive education support for fostering disability empathy culture are described. Second, in terms of classroom management of classroom teachers, the meaning, role, and activation strategies of inclusive education support for fostering disability empathy culture are described. Third, in terms of special education teachers' role, the meaning, role, and activation strategies of inclusive education support for fostering disability empathy culture are described. Fourth, in terms of school administrators and educational administration institutions, the meaning, role, and activation strategies of inclusive education support for fostering disability empathy culture are described. The results of this study would be used as basic data to spread the disability empathy culture and improve the quality of inclusive education for students with disabilities to have inclusive education in the information society and be integrated into the community successfully.

The Effects of Novel Engineering on Improvement of Creative Problem-Solving Ability (노벨 엔지니어링이 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 미치는 효과)

  • This paper describes the effects of Novel Engineering(NE) on improvement of creative problem-solving abilities. We performed two classes for control and experience group. They are all 5th grade students. Core concept of the NE lesson is ecosystem and interaction with 8 hours long. We designed a lesson able to integrate subjects like Korean, Science and Practical Arts. Then we performed pre-and-post t-test on creative problem-solving ability. The experimental results showed that NE lesson has a high effects on 4 sub-elements like self conviction and independence, diffusion thinking, critical thinking and motivational component. The research showed that NE class is a good teaching-learning method to cultivate various competencies for our children. NE is a convergence learning model integrating various problem-solving paradigms ever researched. Thus we expect that NE is a foundation for convergence curriculum model to lead our children to their future and get settled to all schools.

Teacher Training Program and Analysis of Teacher's Demands to Strengthen Artificial Intelligence Education (인공지능교육 역량 강화를 위한 교원 연수 프로그램과 교사 요구분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the training program for teachers to strengthen the competence of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary school teachers and to analyze its effectiveness and analyze teachers' demands for artificial intelligence education to provide basic research data. The referenced training program was designed based on the ADDIE model by selecting the educational contents based on the five core elements of AI, and teachers from the G Metropolitan Office of Education and the AI Education Research Association collaborated to develop the program. The effectiveness of the developed program and questionnaire of teacher needs analysis for AI teaching were examined for content validity. As a result of the training conducted by applying the developed program, satisfaction with each curriculum of the training and the possibility of application to the field were highly evaluated. It was found that teachers consider the need of teaching unplugged activities for AI education and basic AI experiences in elementary school level, and AI education contents including block programming languages and physical computing activities are needed to teach in middle school level.

  • In the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, lifestyle and industrial structures are faced with evolution from IT-based automation to the intelligent stage, demanding talents with software capabilities in various fields. Reflecting these demands, the government has enhanced basic software education for non-majors in elementary and secondary schools as well as universities. In this study, the software convergence education of Non-Majors is proposed to improve the general problem solving ability based on computational thinking and the software convergence ability in the field of their own by developing robot activity. The subjects of this study were 91 students, who were composed of various majors. The class was designed with computing thinking, convergence elements, and creative robot activity. The study was conducted for 13 weeks. To examine the effects of software convergence education through the creative robot activity, this study observed changes in the students' learning outcomes, satisfaction with creative robot activities, and perceptions of other disciplines after class based on pre-diagnosis surveys. The survey asked 12 questions including an understanding of the learning contents, overall satisfaction with multidisciplinary collaborative learning, understanding of other disciplines, and self-evaluation of problem solving ability through creative robot activities, which were compared with that before the class. They answered that their ability was improved.

The Corelation Research between Cyberbullying and Information Media Use - With Focus on Internet and Mobile Phone Use (사이버불링 발생과 정보매체활용 간의 상관분석 - 인터넷과 휴대전화 사용을 중심으로)

  • Cyberbullying has a negative influence on teens. However, the academic approach and try is still an its early stages in spite of the issue of the seriousness and importance. Accordingly, this study conducted a survey of 1,112 elementary, middle and high school students. According to the survey, Internet bullying violence experience was from 20.3% to 39.0%, victim experience from 11.0% to 23.4%, mobile phone bullying violence experience was from 15.9% to 44.1%, victim experience from 5.5% to 21.8%. The factors affecting Internet bullying violence experience were gender, academic stress, internet accessibility, anonymity, use time of internet. The factors affecting mobile phone bullying violence experience were school table, academic stress, mobility, anonymity, use time of mobile phone. Finally, this study grasped the relation between Internet and mobile phone bullying. It was found that Internet bullying violence victim experience had something to do with mobile phone bullying violence victim experience. Especially, Internet bullying violence experience had a lot to do with mobile phone bullying violence experience, Internet bullying victim experience had a lot to do with mobile phone bullying victim experience.

The Relationships among Factors that Effects on Acceptance Intention in Smart Education (스마트교육 수용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 간의 관계 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze the relationships among factors which influence acceptance intention of smart education. Based on literature reviews related with previous technology acceptance models, a potential model and seven hypotheses were suggested. Questionnaire was carried out among 132 students from elementary and secondary schools. They have experiences of utilizing applications of mobile devices for instructional goal. Cronbach alpha of the questionnaire was .78. The collected data were analyzed through path analysis. The results of this research are as follows. Seven hypotheses were adopted: Interaction will affect on perceived usefulness, Interaction will affect on perceived ease of use, Interaction will affect on acceptance intention, Interaction will affect on social influence, Social influence will affect on perceived usefulness, Perceived usefulness will affect on acceptance intention, Perceived ease of use will affect on acceptance intention. The model revised through the results of path analysis had good-fitness. That is, overall fit measures (RMSEA, CFI, NNFI), indexes that show the suitability of the model were quite good.

  • The purpose of this paper is to quickly identify school parents, teachers, students, community needs and opinions for curriculum organizing and the implementation of an online survey system for operating educational activities. Online survey system should be implemented based on Limesurvey to reduce costs and administrative costs. Limesurvery is available without the development of the separate program and offers the form of web-based template system, complete design, layout. Also, Limesurvey offers basic statistical analysis of survey data. Limesurvey can be executed by installing the program on a web hosting, typing database information. Limesurvey can be made a graph of the statistical results. Besides, Limesurvery can be stored in the form of HTML, Word, Excel, CSV Files and can be stured as basic datas for SPSS or PASW, R data, other statistical processing programs. If we could be operate Limesurvey in the form of open source-based survey program in elementary school, we could be reduced teacher's unnecessary work for statistics and overcame the problem of offline survey system.
