  • The anorthositic rocks and the many other plutons which are of different varieties and age were distributed in the northern extremity of the distributed areas of H-S anorthositic rocks. The purpose of this study was to find plutons which had comagmatic relationships, and to make clear the magmatic process of anorthositic magma. The plutons were classified, and the petrological and the geochemical characteristics of the plutons were compared and researched in this study. And, because, like anorthosite, the rocks which intrude in the deep crust accompany assimilation, an AFC model calculation was performed to make the differentiation process of the anorthositic rocks clear. The plutons in this area were classified into three groups, and the three groups were composed of the Precambrian anorthositic rocks and related rocks, the Jurassic gabbro, and the plutons of undnown age. The anorthositic magma was differentiated from the anorthositic rocks through the tonalite to the alkali-feldspar granite, and it was differentiated under K, Mg, Fe free/lack condition. It was found from the result of AFC model that the anorthositic rocks were differentiated by fractional crystallization, but they were assimilated with wall-rocks, and the assimilation was performed at the rate of r$\leq$0.1. The plutons which intruded the anorthositic rocks subsequently consisted of the gabbro, the megacrystic granite, the fine-grained granite, and the gneissose granite. But they were formed by the repeated intrusion of magma, which may, or may not, be of the same origin. According to the result of the RCF model, these plutons were differentiated by simple fractional crystallization, and they were assimilated relatively less than the anorthositic rocks.

  • This study is a preceding research designed to deduct an institutional supplementary measure that minimizes any inevitable side effects from the improvement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is the core element of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In this specific case in which the Robo-Advisor, the representative type of AI-applied technology, was hacked by a third party and ended up manipulating prices, the study was intended to examine the responsibility relationship of the current legal framework. Although the current legal framework strictly prohibits acts such as hacking and manipulation, it was confirmed that if the Robo-Advisor management firm acts in compliance with protection measures regarding hacking, the firm is free from any legal liabilities and there is insufficient legal protection available for ordinary investors with grand-scale damage from price manipulation Based on this study, further studies are needed to derive more institutional supplementary measures on overcoming these problems.

  • Elastic deformations of an infinitely long strip and a beam loaded by uniform pressure upon their upper surfaces, with the fixed-free end dondition, are considered within the range of small strains. All local governing equations are satisfied up to first order in strains, and to take into account the higher order terms neglected in the local governing equations, the overall equilibrium is imposed exactly up to the leading order. The success of the approach relies upon the semi-inverse method and the decomposition of deformations in which the classical linear theory guides the solution. The solution bridges the gap between the two extremes-the classical solutions valid only for infinitesimal deformations and the solutions form the technical theories for deformations with large rotations. The solutions may be used to confirm the technical theories and to verify numerical solutions obtained from finite element analysis.

  • Vibrational characteristics of curved pipe structures are investigated with respect to the change of inside flow velocities. Based upon the Hamilton's principle, the equations of motions are derived, and the finite element equation is constructed to solve the frequency equation for curved pipe structures. When the initial tension is neglected in cured pipes, the natural frequencies are reduced as flow velocity increases, and the rapid decreases of the natural frequencies take place. However, when the initial tension is taken into account, the natural frequencies are not changed with the change of the flow velocity. In free vibrational simulation of pipe systems, it is necessary to calculate the initial force due to the velocity and the pressure of the fluid flow from the equilibrium. The force should be included in the equation of motion of the systems to get more accurate natural frequencies. The mechanical properties like stiffness or the location of pipe support need to be changed to avoid resonance. The natural frequencies are to be isolated from the frequency range of dominant vibration modes. The angles of elbows do not affect the change of the fundamental natural frequency, but affect the change of the third or higher natural frequencies.

  • A synchronization is important element not only wire communication but also wireless communication. Especially, In SS(Spread Spectrum) communication method used GPS(Global Positioning System) synchronization is more important. A synchronous oscillator(SO) is a network which synchronizes, tracks, filter, amplifies and divides (if necessary) in a single process. Without an input signal, the SO is a free-running oscillator, oscillating at a frequency $w_0$, but phase changes $180^{\circ}$ within tracking range of SO. Therefore CPSO was used for this problem. The coherent phase synchronous oscillator(CPSO) is created by adding two external loops to the SO and has a wider tracking bandwidth and a zero-offset phase response (coherent) while maintaining the SO properties of high signal-to-rejection and fast frequency acquisition times. Therefore phase between input signal and output signal is synchronized. In this paper, GPS data recovery circuit has applied CPSO using front reference characters and has certified an excellent data recovery capability.

  • Comparing with general optical fiber sensors performing localized measurement, distributed optical fiber sensors can measure along an optical fiber, and they have large measuring range. The surface-mounting method with epoxy adhesive is general in attaching optical fiber sensors to structures, This is also appliable to the structural integrity monitoring with Brillouin-scattering distributed optical fiber sensors. In this paper, Brillouin-scattering distributed optical fiber sensors, which are attached to the surface of a structure with epoxy adhesive, was verified with the finite element method. From the analysis results of strain transfer through the structure, optical fiber coating, cladding and core, the strain transfer rates were calculated. And the influence of the epoxy free-end was also studied.

  • This study found out the change of spacial form of detached house in Korea on a 10-year basis from 1980s though analysis on the architecture of each period. For the subject houses of this study, the detached houses introduced repeatedly as excellent cases in technical journals for architecture were collected among those completed by architects who designed numerous houses and a survey was conducted on 18 detached houses of 18 architects among the in urban style houses in Seoul and suburban style houses in the suburbs of Seoul. Through this study, it could be found that, as the morphological application of traditional architecture was settled with spatial concept, the external spatial form of the detached houses in Korea after 1980s was changed to westernized form but the internal spacial form had been continuously changing suitable to our emotion by reflecting the living habit and taste with the traditional attitude to perceive and accept the nature. As for the change in the forms of interior space, vertical space with more than two floors became common. Front porch and stair hall, which were located at the center of a house and became an important spacial element that overlapped family's moving line, changed to open and bright space that used transparent glass and increased the space to contact the open air, reflecting our living habit and taste that preferred the feeling of internal openness. A Private space, main room, was more segmented and luxurious, and a public space, living room, secured the independency by getting close to symbolic yard. As for the change in the form of exterior space, the form of façade window has been changing in its location and size and brought free images due to the advancement of technology and material. The shape of roofs was borrowed from western style and a lot of geometrical forms that break away from the concept of angle rater and eaves are appearing.

  • This study presents a novel twophase eight stator poles and six rotor poles (8/6) switched reluctance machine (SRM) that can compensate for the vibration and noise problems of twophase 6/3 SRM and compare the characteristics of two SRMs. In the case of twophase 6/3 SRM, the short flux path and the flux direction inside the stator are not reversed, so they have high efficiency characteristics. However, the use of three rotor poles causes problems of vibration and noise because the radial force applied to the rotor poles is not balance. The proposed twophase 8/6 SRM has advantages of 6/3 SRM such as the fluxreversalfree stator and it can improve vibration and noise by using six rotor poles due to balanced radial force acting on the rotor poles. In order to make a reasonable comparison between two SRMs, the electromagnetic field structure of 8/6 SRM is designed to have equivalent torque characteristic to 6/3 SRM and then the copper loss and core loss are compared and analyzed. Finally, we compare the effieicney of two SRMs using finite element analysis and compare the distribution of radial force acting on the rotor poles based on Maxwell's stress method.
