Research on group decisions and electronic meeting systems have been increasing rapidly according to the widespread of Internet technology. Although various issues have been raised in empirical research, we will try to solve an issue on idea categorizing in the group decision making process of electronic meeting systems. Idea categorizing used at existing group decision support systems was performed in a top-down procedure and mostly b participants; manual work. This resulted in tacking as long in idea categorizing as it does for idea generating clustering an idea in multiple categories, and identifying almost similar redundant categories. However such methods have critical limitation in the electronic meeting systems, we suggest an intelligent idea categorizing methodology which is a bottom-up approach. This method consists of steps to present idea using keywords, identifying keywords' affinity, computing similarity among ideas, and clustering ideas. This methodology allows participants to interact iteratively for clear manifestation of ambiguous ideas. We also developed a prototype system, IIC (intelligent idea categorizer) and evaluated its performance using the comparision experimetn with other systems. IIC is not a general purposed system, but it produces a good result in a given specific domain.

In order to care about preserving the environment for future generations, each country has been required to make the laws of the environment. So manufacturers must design, manufacture and sell goods that meet customer's need and must do this while meeting the needs of the environment. In this research we have developed product structure and configuration management system that treats electronic catalogs for recycling of train parts. This research focused on two system. One is JAVA-based electronic catalog that give the information about recycling of train parts. The other is product structure and configuration management system based on electronic catalog and Bill of Materials(B.O.M).

This study is performed to examine the relationships between trust and antecedents in cyberspace. Trust is the major control system in cyberspace. Different time, different spaces, different cultures, indistinct boundaries, flexible structure, separation of information from matters, cybernetics, difficulty of control are differential characteristics between cyberspace and physical space. Providing fit information, use of effective electronic channels, previous trust management, feedback system about output, flexible culture, self-regulation, off-line meeting, providing information about tasks and roles, ability, and justice are supposed to have effects on trust in cyberspace. By electronic mediated systems, the company will have more business opportunity. But trust will be conditional factors of expanding business in cyberspace.

Recently, most embedded systems have the multi-functions mixed the hardware with the software. The existing sequence programming methods are not suitable to implement the embedded system with multi-functions. So, it can be overcome the limit of a facility implementation by introducing the operating system in system. Also, due to the requirement about the better convenient and comfortable meeting or lecture environment, the necessity of electronic white-board is getting higher. Specially, the education using multimedia information is much more desirable for various and improved lecture at the high school and the university. But the sequence program which have been managed in existing electronic white-board system has some difficulties to achieve the software-oriented systems which has to accomplish many functions. In this paper, we propose the method to implement a facility of electronic white-board through using the embedded linux with excellent performance. The embedded linux presents the powerful software environment for the implementation of an embedded system and makes the realization of many various functions easy because it follows kernel characteristics of linux. In this paper, we describe the details for the structure of hardware, kernel source and device driver of a developed electronic white-board.

As a rapid development of electronic commerce transactions in these days, the security and private protection problems became more important matters under the electronic transaction base. Because electronic transaction using electronic documents be carried without direct person to person meeting, there can be the possibility to use other's identity illegally without notice, and very hard to verify authenticity of transaction as well. In addition, it is very hard to find out that the electronic documents on the process of submitting is forged documents or not, and also have much difficulty in maintaining transmitting secret. Therefore, to solve such problems on electronic commerce transactions and electronic documents, the digital signature and certification system with cryptography skill is inevitably necessary. As the wide use of digital signature together with beginning of digital government and financial transaction, not only the issuance of electronic certification, but certification market came to gradually expand. In Korea, after enacting digital signature act in 1999, the act contents were expanded to the wide range of contents complying with global standards from the end of 2001 to April, 2002, including the new clause of certification problems. And the act was put into operation now. Therefore, in this paper, we'd like to suggest development scheme through the investigation on electronic certification related problems, such as, concepts, procedures, service conditions here and abroad.

The revision of SOLAS, Chapter V, which entered into force on 1 July 2002, has firmly established the electronic navigational chart as part of the international maritime safety system. Its possible recognition as a paper chart equivalent confirms the considerable safety benefits provided by the official Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS). Elaborated by the Author IAMU Model Course on operational use of ECDIS aims to provide answers to some of the most commonly asked questions regarding various types of electronic charts (ENC, RNC, DNC) and electronic chart systems (ECDIS, RCDS, ECS). Following the earlier adoption of the International Convention STCW 78/95 and IMO model training courses, e.g. IMO Model Course on ECDIS [2], to assist in the implementation of the Convention and the associated IMO Assembly resolutions, a number of IAMU Member Universities had suggested that IAMU should develop model training courses on higher academic level to assist in achieving a more rapid transfer of information and skills regarding new developments in marine technology. The provision of model courses could help instructors improve the quality of their existing courses and enhance their effectiveness in meeting the requirements of the IAMU. In this paper the Author presents the results of two IAMU research projects sponsored by Nippon Foundation, titled 'IAMU Model Course on Training in Operational Use of ECDIS' and 'IAMU Handbook on ECDIS'.

We investigated the fault current limiting characteristics according to the various facilities in power system. Power systems are becoming larger and larger for meeting electric power demand. Therefore, the over-currents resulting from contingencies such as short circuits are increasing higher, which causes the ratings of circuit breakers(CBs) to increase. Upgrading or replacement of CBs is not difficult from the technical and economical point of view. Bus split is being adopted into a part of 154 kV power systems, but it has adverse effects such as overload to neighboring power systems, increased voltage fluctuation, and decreased power system stability. For 345 kV power systems, the bus split measure is not feasible and dc reactors are being suggested. The superconducting fault current limiter is a protection gear of new concept that limits fault current automatically in a few milliseconds. It can also provide the effect of CB capacity increase, relaxation of power machine criteria, enhancement in power system reliability, and flexible power system operation.

Contract requires, on principle, a meeting of minds. The basic elements of that contact are an offer by one party and an acceptance of the terms of the offer by the other party. In the electronic commerce an offer and the acceptance of an offer may be expressed by dispach or receipt of data messages. The contract which a data messages is used in the formation may be called electronic contract. The formation of the electronic contract is regulated by the Civil Code or the Commerce Code. The time of the contract formation is regulated by the Civil Code and the Commerce Code. But the time of dispach and receipt of the data message is stated in Article 9 of the Fundamental Law on Electronic Commerce. In this article the dispatch of a data message occurs when it enters an information system outside the control of the originator or of the person who sent the date message on behalf of the originator. The time of receipt of a data message, if the adressee has designated an information system for the purpose of receiving data message, is at the time when the data message enters the designated information system; or if the data message is sent to an information system of the adressee that is not the designated information system, at the time when the data message is retrieved by the addressee; if the addressee has not designated an information system, receipt occurs when the data message enters an information system of the addressee. The time of the electronic contract formation depends on the Civil Code or the Commerce Code and this Article 9 of the Fundamental Law on Electronic Commerce. An electronic contract may be formed by an offer and the acceptance of an offer by dispach or receipt of data message. An offer can not be withdrawn after it is accepted. But in mail-order sales and installment dealing an offer can be revoked after the goods were delivered. In this case the contract is lapsed.
