The current railway wireless network uses various communication scheme depending on the section of railway. Therefore, in the train, it is required a specific communication device for the corresponding communication scheme to communicate and exchange data with the control center. To enhance data rate and support various services, LTE-R scheme has been developed for the next generation railway communications. To use both the existing communication and LTE-R schemes, it is required an integration method for encompassing all communication schemes. In this paper, we overview existing railway communications and LTE-R scheme. Then, we develop a network integration method which can be applied by using one terminal in the train. In addition, implementation issues for the integration are also considered.

Future Ground Control Stations (GCSs) for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) teleoperation targets better situational awareness by providing extra motion cues to stimulate the vestibular system. This paper proposes a new virtual environment for long range Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) control via Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) communications, which is based on motion platforms. It generates motion cues for the teleoperator for extra sensory stimulation to enhance the guidance performance. The proposed environment employs the distributed component simulation over GSM network as a simulation platform. GSM communications are utilized as a multi-hop communication network, which is similar to global satellite communications. It considers a UAV mathematical model and wind turbulence effects to simulate a realistic UAV dynamics. Moreover, the proposed virtual environment simulates a Multiple Axis Rotating Device (MARD) as Human Machine Interface (HMI) device to provide a complete delay analysis. The demonstrated measurements cover Graphical User Interface (GUI) capabilities, NLoS GSM communications delay, MARD performance, and different software workload. The proposed virtual environment succeeded to provide visual and vestibular feedbacks for teleoperators via GSM networks. The overall system performance is acceptable relative to other Line-of-Sight (LoS) systems, which promises a good potential for future long range, medium altitude UAV teleoperation researches.

Improving spectrum utilization efficiency is a fundamental goal of dynamic spectrum access technology. The definition of spectrum holes determines how to detect and exploit them. Current definitions of spectrum holes are ineffective in exploiting spatial-temporal spectrum holes. In this paper, a novel definition of spectrum holes is proposed, in which throughput loss indicates the impact of secondary users on primary users. The definition specifies spectrum holes, unifies the impact of secondary users on primary users and is effective exploiting spatial-temporal spectrum holes. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations show that the new definition proposed in this paper significantly improves the spectrum utilization efficiency.

The tourist industry is expecially one of the successful areas for the application of electronic commerce because it is an information-intensive and consumer-oriented industry where information and services play a large part in transaction processes. A electronic tourism market which integrates tourist information systems, reservation systems, and real-time broadcasting systems based on the Internet Web was developed by a collaborative team of Dongguk University and Daou Tech. Inc. with sponsorship of Kyongbuk province and Minister of Information Communications of Korea. Based on the development case of the system, this paper proposes development and operations strategies of electronic market in the tourist industry. The paper reviews the development strategies in the perspective of potential travelers, technology, cooperation among players, and development methodology. The paper also discusses strategies which are able to be employed as the guideline in order to operate the system.

본 연구는 기존 국내 시장에서 꾸준히 사용되고 있는 코드 분석 장비의 단점으로 지적된 노후화로 인해 최신의 Format에 대응이 힘들며 통신 Interface도 확보되지 못해 PC와의 연동도 극히 제한적이고 생산성 확보에 한계가 있다. 본 리모컨 통합검사기는 리모컨 검사에 필요한 전원 공급, 동작 전류 측정, 코드 분석을 일원화하여 하나의 자동화장치에서 사용할 수 있도록 하는 것이며, 종전의 장비들과는 달리 고해상도 디스플레이와 프로세서를 자체 채용하여 PC없이 Stand-Alone으로 이러한 조작과 검사를 진행할 수 한다. 즉 성능검사에 필요한 전 스텝을 하나의 장비에 일원화하여 검사 LOSS를 최소화하고 신뢰성을 높여 생산성 증대에 기여할 수 있도록 설계되었다.
