The energy harvesting using smart materials has been extensively investigated to supply electric power to wireless sensor systems. In this paper, the energy harvesting using eddy current was studied with the integrated magnetic cantilever beam system. If a large conductive metal plate moves through a magnetic field which intersects perpendicularly to the sheet, the magnetic field will induce small rings of current which will actually create internal magnetic fields opposing the change. This eddy current that was induced in the coiled conductive sheet from the mechanical vibration was converted to chemical energy by charging batteries. The experimental results show that the eddy current generated the electric power up to max 31.2mW. Additionally the vibration reduction of the mechanical cantilever beam was observed by the energy dissipation in the electro-magnetic coupled system. The present result shows that the vibration level of the first natural frequency was reduced up to 7.7dB
Conductive microspheres with a density of 0.2 g/cc were fabricated by electroless silver plating for application to the light-weighted microwave absorbers. The silver plating was conducted with the variation of plating conditions (sensitizing condition, $AgNO_3$, concentration, amount of reducing agent). Specimens have very low electro-resistivity. Under an optimum processing condition, conductive microspheres with uniform silver plating layer can be produced. Rubber-sphere composites were fabricated and their microwave absorbing properties were measured by HP8722D Network Analyzer. It was found that the lower the electrical resistance of microsphere, the better the microwave absorbing properties. Feasibility of microwave absorbers using this microspheres can be demonstrated with the result of microwave reflection loss of -15 dB and thickness of 1.44 mm.
In this paper, we studied electrical characteristics of internal converter type of LED lamps for road and street lighting. We surveyed electro-technical regulations and KS(Korean industrial standards) about LED luminairs. Waveforms of voltage and current, thermal distributions, insulation resistances between live parts and exposed conductive parts, and flame test of cover of LED lamps were experimented and analyzed. In regulations, insulation resistance between live conductors and exposed conductive parts should be greater than $0.2M{\Omega}$ in case nominal voltage of wiring is 220V. In KS codes, the value of insulation resistance should be greater than $2M{\Omega}$ while applying DC 500V or DC 100V. In the result of this study, waveforms of primary voltage and current were distorted. There was difference in waveforms of secondary voltage and current according to composition of converter. Mostly, insulation resistances were measured high more than regulation and code value but some measured points were measured badly($0.0M{\Omega}$). Cover of LED lamps was ignited easily. We expect that the results of this study would be helpful for revision of regulations and national codes for the electrical safety of LED road and street lighting.
The Biosensor biosensor pattern was developed by via an EHD (electro-hydro-dynamics (EHD) patterning process that was performed under atmospheric pressure at room temperature in a single step. The drop diameter was smaller than nozzle diameter and applied high viscosity conductive ink was applied in the EHD patterning method to provide a clear advantage over the piezo and thermal inkjet printing techniques. The Biosensor's biosensor's micro electrode pattern was printed by via a continuous EHD patterning method using 3three- type types of control parameters parameter (input voltage, patterning speed, nozzle pressure). High viscosity (1000 cps) conductive ink with 75 wt% of silver nanoparticles was used for experimentation. The incremental result of impedance of biosensor impedance was measured between the antibody ($10ug{\mu}g/ml$) to spore (0.1 ng/ml, 10 ng/ml, and $1ug{\mu}g./ml$) reaction at frequency 493 MHz frequency.
Increasing environmental concerns require to solve the problem produced due to the use of heavy metals in coating formulations. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new coating strategy employing inherently conducting polymers such as polyaniline. Polyaniline is a conductive polymer that is synthesized by oxidation polymerization, and the electrochemical and chemical polymerization are possible for the oxidation of aniline. Electrochemical oxidation polymerization produces a fine surface and although voltage control is more convenient, it require electrolytic cells, and elaborate thin film can be acquired with the polymerization. Polyaniline films were electro-polymerized on cold rolled sheets using the galvanostat mode in the oxalic acidaniline-sodium molybdate electrolyte. The structure and properties of polyaniline film were studied using Potentiostat/Galvanostat 263A, FE-SEM,, AFM, SST, Colorimetry. A high corrosion resistance of polyaniline film was observed with an increase of corrosion potential by $500{\sim}600$ mV for the substrate covered with polyaniline.

In aqueous phase, we directly prepared conducting and photoluminescent nano-structured particles by oxidation polymerization. Thiophene(PT) was initiated by $FeCl_{3}/H_{2}O_{2}$ (catalyst/oxidant) combination system. And, polydispersed core-shell poly(styrene/thiophene) and polyaniline(PANI)-coated multi core-shell polystyrene latex particles were successfully prepared by oxidative and radical polymerization. The resulting latex particles have fine improved luminescence and conductive efficiency and dispersion state due to the PT and PANI shell. Hyper functionalized nanoparticle would be expected to increase the processibility in various electrical and electro-optical fields.

We report on carbon nano-fibers (CNFs) for applying to epoxy as a highly thermal conductive adhesive. In order to fabricate CNFs, electro-spinning process was performed with polyacrylonitrile (PAN) solutions. The sample was stabilized at the annealing temperature of $360^{\circ}C$, and carbonized from 900 to $1100^{\circ}C$. It is shown that the synthesized CNFs have a good thermal conductivity of several hundred W/m K. LED backlight units (BLUs) fabricated with MPCB using CNF-mixed epoxy give a better heat dissipation and higher performance than normal LED BLUs. On the basis of SEM, XRD, and FTIR, the characteristics of CNFs are described.
