From 1990's, a study on the development of exothermic concrete, a concrete which electro-conductive material is mixed, has been proceeded. However, due to the difficulty of exothermic reproducibility of concrete specimen, the study has been unable to continuously carried out. Accordingly, this study was focused on developing an exothermic concrete for the purpose of snow-melting material. Cement paste and mortar specimens mixed with graphite, conductive metal powder and chemical admixture were made. The evaluation of exothermic performance and reproducibility was conducted under $-2^{\circ}C$ of low temperature. In addition, micro-chemical analysis was carried out to investigate a cause of exothermic reproducibility. As a test result, the specimen mixed with graphite and superplasticizer with air entrained showed the best exothermic performance and reproducibility. Through micro-chemical analysis, it is judged that polymer or methacrylic acid (MAA), the contents inside the superplasticizer with air entrained, gave exothermic reproducibility by generating the electrochemical reaction with graphite.
Nb and Ti were added to 316 stainless steel, and then heat-treatments and surface treatments were performed on the 316 stainless steel and the Nb- and Ti-added alloys. All samples indicated enhanced electrical conductivity after surface treatments, whereas they showed low electrical conductivity before surface treatments due to the existence of non-conductive passive film on the alloy surface. In particular, the Hb- and Ti-added alloys showed remarkable enhancement of electrical conductivity compared to the original alloy, 316 stainless steel. Surface characterization revealed that small carbide particles formed on the alloy surface after surface treatments, while the alloys indicated flat surface structure before surface treatments. $Cr_{23}C_6$ mainly formed on the 316 stainless steel, and NbC and TiC mainly formed on the Nb- and Ti-added alloys, respectively. We attribute the enhanced electrical conductivity after surface treatments to the formation of these carbide particles, possibly acting as a means of electro-conductive channel through the passive film. Furthermore, NbC and TiC are supposed to be more effective carbides than $Cr_{23}C_6$ as electro-conductive channels of stainless steel
Modification of C/C composite bipolar plate for improving electrical conductivity was carried out by addition of electroconductive carbon black (EC-CB). Carbon black was carefully mixed to methanol-containing phenolic resin, impregnated into 2D-carbon fabrics, hot pressed and then carbonized to obtain composite plate. Inclusion of electro-conductive carbon black enhanced the electrical conductivity of the C/C composites by increasing the conduction path. Addition of 10 vol% carbon black increased the electrical conductivity from 5.5/${\Omega}cm$ to 32/${\Omega}cm$ and reduced the crack formation by filling effect, resulting in the increase of flexural properties of composite plate. However, at carbon black content over 10 vol%, flexural properties decreased by delaminating role of excess carbon black at the interface in C/C composites.

It found that the maximum temperature of the arc discharge occurred on the Silicone rubber sample significantly decreased with increasing the reinforcing agent. It was confirmed that the current value decreased with increasing the aluminium trihydrate($Al(OH)_3$) and the current value increased with reducing the primary resistance over time. Regarding these results, may be it is because the degradation due to the electro-conductive carbonization was improved and the properties of dielectric breakdown was reduced by the flame retardant reinforcing agent. It found that the electro-conductive carbonized road has not happened by increasing the flame retardant reinforcing agent. Regarding to the arc discharge, this study show that the arc arising near the lower electrode of sample has disappeared.
Electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding characteristics of composite filled with Cu flake and carbon brush powder as hybrid conductive filler and EAF slag have been studied. The coaxial transmission line method of ASTM D4935-99 was used to measure the EMI Shielding effectiveness of composites as formulation in frequency rage $100\~1,000MHz$ The SE also increases with the increase in flier loading. The hybrid filler filled composites show higher SE compared to that of only Cu flake. The correlation between SE and conductivity of the various composites is also discussed. The results indicate that the composites having higher filler loading$({\geq}40wt.\%)$ can be used for the purpose of safety materials to protect hazardous electromagnetic interference.

A wearable T-matching dipole UHF RFID tag antenna has been designed using conductive electro-thread. The conductivity of the electro-thread has been measured depending on the number of twisted thread. The measured conductivity has been used for simulation to have accurate simulation results. The flexible electro-thread or fabric has been used for fabricating the antenna instead of using copper tape since the electro-thread is more flexible and wearable than copper tape. The return loss and reading range of the fabricated electro-thread UHF RFID tag antennas have been tested. The reading range is approximately 2.4 m.

Micro-holes of conductive ceramic are required in micro structures. Micro-electrical discharge machining (Micro-EDM) is an effective machining method since EDM is as process for shaping hard metals and complex-shaped holes by spark erosion in all kinds of electro-conductive materials. However, as the depth of micro hole increases, the machining condition becomes more unstable due to inefficient removal of debris between the electrode and the workpiece. In this paper, micro-EDM was performed to evaluate machining characteristic such as electrode wear, machining time, taper angle, radial clearance with varying voltage and ultrasonic vibration on 10 vol.% Carbon-nanotube reinforced conductive $Al_2O_3$ composite fabricated by spark plasma sintering in previous research.
Hybrid-type transparent electrodes were fabricated by depositing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) via spray coating on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates and then coating the CNTs with [poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)] (PEDOT) films via electro-polymerization. For all of the fabricated electrodes, their surface morphologies, electric sheet resistances, visible transmittances, and color properties (e.g., yellowness) were characterized as functions of the applied voltages and process times used in electro-polymerization. The sheet resistance of the CNTs was significantly reduced by the coating of PEDOT, while their visible transmittances slightly decreased. The yellowness values of the PEDOT-coated CNTs were observed to have substantially decreased via electro-polymerization. The experimental results confirmed that the fabricated hybrid electrodes had desirable properties for the application of transparent electrode in terms of the electrical resistance, optical transmittance, and chromaticity.

Inkjet printing is a non-contact and direct writing associated with a computer. In the industrial field, there have been many efforts to utilize the inkjet printing as a new way of manufacturing, especially for electronic devices. For the application of inkjet printing to electronic field, one of the key factors is exact realization of designed images into printed patterns. In this work, micro patterning for conducting line has been studied using the piezoelectric print head and silver nano ink. Dimensions of printed images have been predicted in terms of print resolution and diameter of a single dot. The predicted and the measured values showed consistent results. Using the results, the design capability for industrial inkjet printing could be achieved.
