Input Shaping Design for Human Control System (휴먼 제어시스템의 입력형성기 설계)

  • To get the robust and reliable input command, we designed shaping function for target tracking system with commander's handle. Input signals of the commander's handle are generated by human operator. It is response of the human to reduce the error between target and gun. But, tracking error while operator aim a moving target manually gives poor system performance. Input noise, particularly, affects hit accuracy as the system performance. We proposed the design method of input command shaping to reduce the Input noise and to improve the operation ability and convenience. We performed the experiments with combat vehicle, example of Target Tracking System, to show the proposed method is efficient and practical.

  • In this paper, an interface unit is designed to efficiently monitor transmission data in Controller Area Network(CAN)-based control systems. The CAN uses a serial multi master communication protocol that efficiently supports distributed real-time control with a very high level of data integrity, and communication speeds of up to 1Mbps. The interface unit is composed of a DSP controller which collects data on the CAN bus and transfers data to a personal computer via serial communication to save and display of interesting signals. The experimental system consists of three DSP controllers which represent electronic control units of a vehicle, an interface unit for analysing the data on the bus, and a graphic monitoring program coded on the Windows platform. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed simple type of CAN interface unit are shown through the experimental results.

  • Tilting trains are now an established feature of railway operations throughout the world. For intercity traffic, tilt provides operators with increasing speeds, and therefore enhanced competitiveness, on existing routes where insufficient traffic or a lack of funds precludes the construction of a dedicated new high-speed railway. Appling the tilting train, we can expect 30% of speed up on existing lines, but the stability of the electric current would be low because of tilting the train. Also, the spark between the catenary and pantagraph cause environmental problems such as noise, radio wave malfunction. Therefore, the tilting on pantagraph for the power suppling device is very essential for stable electric power supply.

  • This paper presents a design and characteristics analysis of interior permanent magnet (IPM) type BLDC motor for electric vehicle. In order to design of IPM type BLDC motor, surface mounted permanent magnet(SPM) type BLDC motor is used as the initial design model. According to the size of permanent magnet, the steady state characteristics is analysized by equivalent magnetic circuit method. The characteristics analysis results of the designed motor is compared with the experimental results.

  • Recently, it is increasing to use more Brushless DC Motor with high energy density permanent magnet and semiconductor control unit for complementing the mechanical defect of Brushed DC Motors. For designing of BLDC Motors are required complex parameters like as rated characteristic, Geometries, B-H curve of magnet and steel materials, winding factor, etc. Moreover, design and manufacturing are difficult because of additional control circuits. Generally, Design parameters are gotten by analysis of Motor which is used. And the design parameters are used to design a new motor. But getting the design parameters through the eyes and experience is limited and it takes a long time. In this paper a method is proposed to efficiently analyze motor design parameters through the No load and Load Test, Back EMF Test, Simulation Analysis and Patent Analysis Method for existing BLDC Motor for a cooling Fan in Vehicle.

  • It is not easy to apply new algorithm to the vehicle under driving test because the principle and moving characteristic of Magnetically Levitated Train(Maglev) developed in KIMM have been not easily analyzed yet. So, in this paper the small-scaled Maglev which can experiment economically and analyze moving-characteristic is proposed. Proposed small-scaled Maglev have the same principle and function as that of Maglev but it is smaller than real system at the ration of 1 to 7.

  • In this study, on-line measuring system were developed to verify performances and characteristics of electric braking system that is used in KTX(Korea Train eXpress) synthetically and efficiently Because KTX is commercial vehicle, effective measurement and evaluation of measuring signals were performed beyond the range of change for equipment components. KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) described about running-braking measuring program, running-braking backup program and running-braking analysis program that were developed using a software called LabVIEW in this paper. Also, we analyzed the characteristics comparing experimental values with design values about braking distance, braking time, negative acceleration and braking effort in rheostatic braking and regenerative braking. In result, main performances and characteristics for electric braking system in KTX were verified.

  • Experiments and design efforts have been made to improve performance of the levitation magnet. One pole of the pair-magnet is manufactured as a solid core without stagger and its test result gives a 5 % increment of levitation force. One effort is to make molding coil to protect it from vibration and precifitation due to outdoor usage. In addition, a permeant magnet embedded type has been designed and analyzed by using FEM program.

  • The project of advanced urban transit system (AUTS)development is developing the advanced vehicle and the core technologies for the cost down by system change, the transport safety and the environmental friendliness and the improvement of passenger service. The product data management(PDM) system is installed for management of each project. Various data and informations producted from each project are made for database. We developed the product data management system for advanced urban transit system. In past, it was AUTS-PDM of C/S version. Now, we develop AUTS-PDM of Web version.
