Developed a BLDC Motor for Driving a Commercial Vehicle Fan (상용차 팬 구동용 BLDC 모터 개발)

  • This paper is the research result of designing and developing a BLDC motor for driving a condenser fan, which is widely used in air conditioners of commercial vehicles and specially equipped vehicles, and produced with a target value. The design of the motor was carried out in the order of designing the electric and magnetic circuits after determining the motor specifications. The process was repeated with different set values until the designed target condition was satisfied, and the electric and magnetic field distributions were made to be equal by reflecting the characteristics of the material. As a structural feature of the motor, it is a rotating field type composed of multipoles, and has a structure in which a permanent magnet is attached to the surface of the rotor. The manufactured BLDC motor is a 3-phase square wave driving method, with a rated voltage of 24 [V], a rotational speed of 2,500 [rpm], a rated current of 10 [A], and a power consumption of 180 [W]. A microcontroller for driving and controlling the motor was also manufactured.

  • 위치 측정 기술의 발달로 인해 다양한 서비스들이 개발 되어 현대 사회에 제공되고 있다. 이러한 서비스들 중 GPS는 현재 우리 사회에 깊숙이 녹아 들어와 핸드폰, 내비게이션, 배송처리, 차량 위치 파악, 긴급구조서비스, 항공 및 선박 항법장치, DSLR 등 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. GPS는 위성신호를 수신하여 위치를 파악하기 때문에 위성신호를 수신할 때 공간상의 제약이 있고, 매우 민감하게 방해요소에 의해 간섭을 받을 수 있다. 차량이 충돌위험 발생시 GPS가 방해요소로 인해 수신되지 않으면 충돌회피를 위한 시스템이 제대로 작동하지 못할 우려가 있다. 본 논문에서는 GPS가 수신율이 떨어지는 터널, 고가도로, 지하주차장과 같은 장소에서의 WLAN을 기반으로 한 위치측정 기술을 이용하여 차량의 충돌회피를 방지하기 위한 프로토콜을 제안한다.

  • Classification of drones and birds is challenging due to diverse flight patterns and limited data availability. Previous research has focused on identifying the flight patterns of unmanned aerial vehicles by emphasizing dynamic features such as speed and heading. However, this approach tends to neglect crucial spatial information, making accurate discrimination of unmanned aerial vehicle characteristics challenging. Furthermore, training methods for situations with imbalanced data among classes have not been proposed by traditional machine learning techniques. In this paper, we propose a data processing method that preserves angle information while maintaining positional details, enabling the deep learning model to better comprehend positional information of drones. Additionally, we introduce a training technique to address the issue of data imbalance.

  • This paper is about an electric water pump used in an electric vehicle cooling system. An electric water pump is operated by a BLDC motor compared to a mechanical one, so it operates only as much as necessary, improving fuel efficiency. The use of an electric water pump reduces exhaust gas and has the advantage of being free to install, so it can be applied to automobiles, ships, and aircraft. In order to optimize the production of a BLDC motor used as an electric water pump, FEM and electromagnetic field analysis were performed. The dimensions and materials of the stator and rotor were selected by applying the values obtained through the analysis. In addition, the output characteristics of the motor were analyzed through parameter analysis and shape change through self-equivalent circuit analysis to reduce the outer diameter and increase the torque. The electromagnetic hazard of the PCB board was verified, and power integrity analysis was performed to reduce resonance and noise.

  • This paper describes the demonstration of successful fabrication and initial characterization of micromachined pressure sensors and micromachined jets (microjets) fabricated for use in macro flow control and other applications. In this work, the microfabrication technology was investigated to create a micromachined fluidic control system with a goal of application in practical fluids problems, such as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)-scale aerodynamic control. Approaches of this work include: (1) the development of suitable micromachined synthetic jets (microjets) as actuators, which obviate the need to physically extend micromachined structures into an external flow; and (2) a non-silicon alternative micromachining fabrication technology based on metallic substrates and lamination (in addition to traditional MEMS technologies) which will allow the realization of larger scale, more robust structures and larger array active areas for fluidic systems. As an initial study, an array of MEMS pressure sensors and an array of MEMS modulators for orifice-based control of microjets have been fabricated, and characterized. Both pressure sensors and modulators have been built using stainless steel as a substrate and a combination of lamination and traditional micromachining processes as fabrication technologies.

  • The role of Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles(UAVs) has been increasing significantly in both military and civilian operations. Many complex systems, such as UAVs, are difficult to model accurately because they exhibit nonlinearity and show variations with time. Therefore, the control system must address the issues of uncertainty, nonlinearity, and complexity. Hence, identification of the mathematical model is an important process in controller design. In this paper, attitude dynamics identification of UAV is investigated. Using the flight data, nonlinear state space model for attitude dynamics of UAV is derived and verified. Real time simulation results show that the model dynamics match experimental data.

  • The main functions of AC railroad vehicles arresters is to protect the main transformer from lightening impulse or switching impulse surge, then the MOV(metal oxide varistor) elements rated of 10kA is applied. The residual voltage and surge energy absorption are important parameters in designing arrester, these must be carefully decided with considering protecting level of impulse environment of system. The purpose of this study is to discuss the residual voltages and the energy absorption capability by impulse currents on MOV elements for railroad vehicles, and to introduce design factors which act as optimal protecting condition against impulse currents.

  • It is difficult to perform automatic formation flight of UAV (Unmanned Aerial vehicle) when GPS (Global Positionig System) is out of order or has a system error, since the relative position estimation in the flight group is impossible in that case. In this paper, we design a relative localization system for the automatic formation flight of UAV. For this purpose, we adopt digital beam forming (DBF) to estimate the angle with the central controller of the flight group and Particle Filtering scheme to compensate the estimation error of ToA (time of arrival) method. Computer simulation results present a proper distance between the central controller and a following unit to maintain the automatic formation flight.

  • This study is developed vehicle information detector using loop and piezo sensors. This study would analyze the over all problems concerning our road conditions, environmental matters and unique features of our traffic matters; moreover, with these it would develope the hardware, software, car classification algorithm applied by artificial intelligence and traffic monitoring program which can be easily fixed. This can be divided into traffic detecting algorithm and car classification algorithm. Especially, we have developed the car classification algorithm used by C-means Fuzzy Clustering method.

  • 본 논문은 도시철도 유지보수를 위한 정보화시스템을 구축하기 위한 시스템의 기술분류 방법 및 개발방법론에 대하여 기술하였다. 도시철도의 유지보수 분야 중 먼저 전동차에 대한 유지보수 정보화시스템 개발 및 구축을 위한 시스템 분류방법과 적용하기에 가장 적절한 개발방법론에 대하여 제안함으로써 향후 시설물을 포함한 다른 분야에서 이러한 분류방법과 개발방법론을 사용할 수 있도록 한다.
