Some interesting corona characteristics of a airgap of penpoint-to-plate with a tracing insulator paper has been investigated in a temperature and humidity controlled metal chamber. It is found that the positive and the negative carriers in the plasma region could be understood from the waterdrop traces on the paper, which indicate the bombardment by the one of electron or positive gas particle from the plasma region of near the point. It is also found that a corona discharge could be used as a means of a humidifying, since the discharge makes dispersion of watersprays from the penpoint. And the negative corona was more effective for waterspray dispersion than the positive ones.

This paper was aimed to study the drying kinetics of coffee and to investigate the thin-layer drying kinetics of coffee by using a convective air dryer. The coffee was dried for the temperatures of 40, 50 and $60^{\circ}C$ with relative humidity in the range of 14-25% the airflow rate fixed at 1 m/s. According to the experiment result, the drying rate curve showed that drying process took place only in the falling rate period. Seven thin layer drying models (Newton, Page, Henderson and Pabis, Logarithmic, Wang and Singh, Two terms, Modified Henderson and Pabis) were fitted to the experimental moisture content data. The Two-trem model was found to be a better model for describing the characteristics of coffee for the temperatures of 40, 50 and $60^{\circ}C$. The effective moisture diffusivity of coffee increased when the drying temperature increased. The value was in the range of $4.5028{\times}10^{-11}$ to $6.4803{\times}10^{-11}m^2/s$.
This paper was concerned with the risk evaluation of oxidizing substances by burning test method. The samples were prepared the heaped cone-shaped mixtures of solid oxidizing sub-stance with sawdust, and ignition of the sample was made on contact with heating wire inside the combution chamber that the temperature and humidity of atmosphere can be kept at $25^{\circ}C$ and 60% respectively. Accordingly, it were measured the combustivity effect of mixing ratio and amount of sample weight on the burning rate. As a result of burning test of these samples, it could be noticed that the case when the sawdust has so and 30 wt.% in the mixing ratio shows effective combustivity, and as the amount of sample weight was increasing, It showed more rapid burning time. So the average burning time could be obtained by considering the weighting factors to the parameters of the mixing ratio and the amount of sample weight. Finally, it was compared with the effects of cation and anion of oxidizing substances and also applied analytically to the classification and evaluation of oxidizing sub-stances as dangerous goods.
This research tried to analyze the effects of ecological materials 'hwang-toh (yellow soil)' on indoor environments. For this purpose, two full scale mock-ups were constructed: one with silk wall paper, which is generally used for indoor finishing and the other with hwang-toh, which is the ecological material for wall finishing. Comparison and performance evaluations were conducted, and the effects of hwang-toh finishing on a humid indoor environment were verified. Through this research, it was verified that a hwang-toh plaster finish is effective in maintaining the comfort of an indoor environment.
This paper presents a mathematical model to predict the frost properties and heal and mass transfer within the frost layer formed on a cold plate. The laminar flow equations for the air-side are analyzed. and the empirical correlations of local frost properties are employed in order to predict the frost layer growth. The correlations of local frost density and effective thermal conductivity of frost layer, obtained from various experimental conditions, are derived as functions of various frosting parameters (Reynolds number, frost surface temperature, absolute humidity and temperature of moist air, cooling plate temperature, and frost density). The numerical results are compared with experimental data and the results of various models to validate the present model, and agree well with experimental data within a maximum error of 10%. The heat and mass transfer coefficients obtained from the numerical analyses are presented, as the results, it is found that the model for frost growth using the correlation of heat transfer coefficient without solving air flow have a limitation in its application.
The output power efficiency of the fuel cell system depends on the demanded current, stack temperature, air excess ratio, hydrogen excess ratio and inlet air humidity. Thus, it is necessary to determine the optimal operation condition for maximum power efficiency. In this paper, we developed a dynamic model of fuel cell system which contains mass flow model, diffusivity gas layer model, membrane hydration and electrochemistry model. In order to determine the maximum output power and minimum use of hydrogen in a certain power condition, response surface methodology (RSM) optimization based on the proposed PEMFC stack model is presented. The results provide an effective method to optimize the operation condition under varied situations.
Waterprooping Method with sheet need to study technology and multilateral verification considering the arctic conditions as low temperature and humidity, which is the result only considered of material aspects without environmental condition in construction But there are no measures up until now. To solve this problem by using high frequency induction heating method developed waterproof sheets, cold (5 ℃ or less) can be applied in a more stable environment, water-resistant materials and construction methods were studied for development. The results of the test showed that high frequency induction heating method is effective for usability in low temperature condition and securement of proper quality than existing Waterprooping Method with sheet need.
Transmission line outage is influenced by several weather factors: wind, rain snow, temperature, cloud and humidity. And most power system reliability studies assume a failure rate. It can be calculated by transmission line outage data and weather data. Also weather is divided into normal weather and adverse weather by failure rate analysis. The effect of failure rate is discussed with both normal weather and adverse weather. It can be used in effective information about system operation and planing.

In this research, our objective was to investigate the efficacy of electrostatic precipitation in capturing mist particles. We assumed that it could be helpful in multi-functional facilities and similar environments where both humidification and dehumidification are required. We derived the air density of the humidified air based on its properties using Dalton's law. The analysis was performed to evaluate the collection efficiency of capturing mist aerosols of various sizes. As a result, we revealed that under the conditions of a dry-bulb temperature of 26.0℃ and relative humidity of 8%, the system achieved a collection efficiency of 99.999% or more for aerosols larger than 2.5㎛. These results indicate that electrostatic precipitation technology shows great promise as an effective method for capturing mist particles.
In the first part of the study, rates of estrus occurrence and success of A.I. service in the Thai-native and Friesian crossbred, and purebred Friesian cows fed in the National Dairy Training and Applied Research Institute in Chiang Mai, Thailand were traced monthly throughout a year. An electric fan and a water sprinkler cooled the stall for the purebred cows during the hot season (March-September). Both rates in pure Friesians were at their highest in the cold-dry season (October- February), but they decreased steadily during the hot-dry season (March-May) and were at their lowest in the hot-wet season (June-September). Seasonal change of a similar pattern was observed in the incidence of estrus, but not in the success rate of insemination in the crossbred cows. By the use of reproductive data, compiled in the same institute, on the 75 % cross- and purebred Friesian cows, and climatological data in Chiang Mai district, effects of ambient temperature and humidity on the reproductive traits of cows were examined by regression analysis in the second half of the study. Significant relationships in the crossbred, expressed by positive-linear and parabola regressions, were found between reproductive parameters such as days to the first estrus (DTFE), A.I. service (DTFAI), and conception, the number of A.I. services required for conception and some climatic factors. However, regarding this, no consistent or intelligible results were obtained in purebred cows, perhaps because electric fans and water sprinklers were used for this breed in the hot season. Among climatic factors examined, the minimum temperature (MINT) in early lactation affected reproductive activity most conspicuously. As the temperature during one or two months prior to the first estrus and A.I. service rose, DTFE and DTFAI steadily became longer, although, when MINT depleted below $17-18^{\circ}C$, the reproductive interval tended to be prolonged again on some occasions. The maximum temperature also affected DTFE and DTFAI, but only in limited conditions. The effect of humidity was not clear, although the inverse relationship between DTFE and minimum humidity during 2 months before the first estrus in the crossbred seemed to be significant. Failure to detect any definite effect of climate on the reproductive traits of pure Friesians seemed to indicate that forced ventilation by electric fans and water sprinklers were effective enough to protect the reproductive ability of this breed from the adverse effects of a hot climate.
