Importance of technology evaluation cannot be overemphasized to support the effective investment policy. Most of the technology evaluation relies on either quantitative analysis for the value or qualitative comparison due to some attribute. When qualitative comparison is made, typically not only individual attribute. but also overall score is evaluated by the committee of experts. In this paper, we consider the qualitative evaluation procedure used in a venture incubating center and validate if the relationship between the average score of individual attribute and the overall score is significant. Additionally, we identify if the initially evaluated scores are good indicators for the realized future value of technology. Structural equation modeling approach is used and we expect that our approach can make important contributions on improving the currently used technology evaluation method.

Many researchers have proved that information systems auditing is a very effective tool for improving information systems quality. However, information system auditing in Korea still includes many subjective judgements. This study deals with applying a quantitative model to improve information system auditing quality on security domain. First of all, we have looked at previous researches on information systems audit, especially on security audit. Based on this survey, we have come up with solutions to improve the evaluation efficiency on security audit. We have merged the security audit guidelines of NCA and KISA, and developed a quantified evaluation scheme. We have proved the validity of this model by interviews with experts and by case studies.

LED lighting may cause different sensation and color appearance due to the different spectral power distributions compared to those of conventional lightings. Particularly, the CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) of LED lighting has a major effect on color appearance so that this study conducted an experiment through a subjective evaluation and luminance measurement for effective color appearance in a space. This study performed a subjective evaluation under the seven different LED CCT conditions, and color appearance was evaluated with major five colors in a customized lighting box. In addition, luminance measurement was conducted for each CCT and color condition to compare the results from a subjective evaluation. The results of this study may help to select a proper LED CCT for specific color conditions.

This study was conducted for the purpose of evaluating the impressions gained by the members of the audience who have seen contents in a dome theater, based on their seating positions. Dome Theater Gaia provided the environment where the contents for evaluation were to be presented, and enquete (survey) was used as the investigative method. The survey results showed that the presentation of wide-viewing-angle three-dimensional (3D) contents proved effective in enhancing the 3D effect and the presence in a dome theater. Moreover, the study results confirmed that in relation to the impression evaluation of the contents for different seating positions, the optimal seating position varied according to the presentation method of the 3D and 2D contents.

The purpose of this study are to obtain basic materials that can be fulfil effective using of space by consider living behavior and attitude, a furniture usage and a space usage according to the usage of bed in An-Bang. It also suggests a plan about a method of furniture usage that is reflected resident’s living behavior and attitude, desire, consciousness through the space evaluation. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follow : 1, The case of husband’s age was less than 47, and the educational level of husband and wife was above a university graduate, the percentage of possession of bed was high. 2. According to the usage of bed, this study showed difference of furniture usage, and that of life action. 3. According to the usage of bed, there were significant differences in the luxury by result of the space evaluation. 4. Also, there were significant differences in a satisfaction of atmosphere, and an area by satisfaction of furniture usage. 5. According to the usage of bed, the influence of each independent variable appeared differently by result of regression analysis to see the space evaluation effect on space satisfaction.

The objective of this study was to criticize the model house of apartment and suggest a evaluation model which could be used as an effective tool. The evaluation model had been developed based on the theoretical framework suggested by previous results of research related on housing design, which comprised the following four components : 1) the paradigm of future home and life-style, 2) marketing effects of housing developer, 3) goals and principles of housing design and 4) results of user-preferences study, an evaluation model was suggested as a preliminary form which would be modified in detail after series of tests in the field. The evaluation model will be used to provide standardized criteria for the quality of model houses, and eventually help to improve the quality of apartment housing design by balanced information from theorist, user and developer.

Nowadays new water supply projects have been on the decline as the water-power constructions have saturated, which means that the existing power equipment have slowly aged and they require more efforts to maintain the system performance. An effective asset management method of power equipment has become a great necessity from both economical and technical aspects. To be balanced, the asset management should look into all three parts: management, engineering, and information. The purpose of this paper is to study a Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) matrix method through the deterioration evaluation algorithm for an efficient reliability assessment of oil-immersed power transformers by considering both asset management and technical evaluation. Make use of this result, the equipment will be decided to be replace or repair otherwise on service.

The objective of this study are to examine how the factors influence each other by determining the appropriate measurement standard based on the Dining-out Motives, restaurant attribute evaluation, intention of word of mouth and reusing, an effective restaurant marketing strategy on the basis of the analytical results by patrons and market segmentations. The study surveyed 321 subjects and processed the result using SPSS for Win. V. 12.1. For statistical analysis, Frequency, Factor Analysis, and Regression were put into operation. The results showed that dining-out motives and restaurant attribute evaluation had positive effects on the intention of word of mouth and reusing. Furthermore, the restaurant owners or managers will need to understand the existing market and target markets more objectively, and, through this market segmentation, formulate a marketing strategy that is appropriate for diverse desires of customers and different characteristics of restaurants.

As a method for effective utilization of the limited power and frequency resources in satellite communications, this paper develops software which can assigns the optimal power of input carrier groups inthe multi-level SCPC systems and performs evaluation to a various satellite link environment. Using the developed software, the paper presents performance according to the frequency plan of carrier groups and suggest a frequency play method for performance improvement of satellite link. A various interference and noise caused by satellite link are analyzed for reliable performance evaluation. The performance criteria for evaluation is classified into 2 categories according to the CNR of destination receiver earth station.

In this paper, the Hardware-In-The-Loop Simulation(HILS) of missile systems are studied. The HILS is an effective performance evaluation technique that bridges the simulation fidelity gap between analytic all-digital simulations and actual flight tests of missile systems. The HILS may be required to perform system integration tests, performance evaluation at system or subsystem level. Major elements of this HILS facility will include the flight table, simulation computers, I/O computer and peripheral equipments. HILS of missile systems typically involve computer modeling of flight dynamics coupled with a hardware guidance and control(G/C) systems. This paper describes a real time performance evaluation technique of a G/C system, Development of a HILS for a Autopilot of SAM G/C will be used as an example.
