Instead of deodorization appararus of fish oil, an adsorbent such as activated charcoal, activated alumina, silicagel, bamboo charcoal was packed in column alone or mixed with preparative ratio, and then test the effective deodorization with bleaching. In the progress of degumming, the effective method was 18 ml of 2.5% oxalic acid per 100m1 of crude large anchovy oil. The optical condition to deacidified was treating for 30 min at $40^{\circ}C$ with 2.5% sodium hydroride solution. The effective deodorization was added with 3% silicagel under the alone treating adsorbent, and mixed treating was 30% activated alumina and 10% silicagel but added to green tea powder was not effective. The major fatty acid of total lipid were 16:0, 20:5n-3, 18:1n-9, 16:1n-7 and 22:6n-3 after treatment of degumming, deacidfication and deodorizing in the large anchovy oil. The oxidative stability of refined anchovy oil added to $\alpha$-tocopherol was validated 20 days under the control, and 30 days in the case of $\alpha$-tocopherol. The 0.01% $\alpha$-tocopherol was more effective than 0.02% $\alpha$-tocopherol.
Twenty-four Hereford steers, 22 months old and a mean liveweight (${\pm}\;s.e.$) of $250\;{\pm}\;7\;kg$ were used in an experiment to evaluate over 42 days two rates of copra meal supplementation to cattle on a low N ($8.6\;{\pm}\;0.9$ g N/kg dry matter (DM)), low digestible ($45\;{\pm}\;5.2%$ DM) native pasture hay. Steers given the two rates (500, 1000 g/steer/day; i.e. 500C, 1000C) were compared to steers on a non-supplemental diet and to the effects on steers of supplemental urea (30g/steer/day; 30U) or with copra meal (500 g/steer/day; 500C.U), or of cottonseed meal (500 g/steer/day; 500S). Liveweight change was increased (P<0.01) by all of the supplements except by supplemental urea. The most effective treatment, 1000C, increased significantly (P<0.01) liveweight change (946 g/day) in steers above all supplements except those steers given 500C.U (718 g/day). Hay intake per unit liveweight was increased (P<0.05) by 7% by the 30U and 500C.U treatment, and by 9% by 500C; this group having the highest supplements, being greatest (P<0.05) for the 1000C group (6.0 g feed intake/g gain) and least for the 500S supplemented group (11.5 g/g gain). Efficiency was lowest (18.6 g/g gain) for the non-supplemented steers on the basal hay diet. Copra meal N was less degradable (i.e. 29%) in nylon bags over 15 hours in the rumen than was cottonseed meal N (37%), and rumen ammonia concentrations were lower (P<0.05) in cattle supplemented with copra meal (25, 27 mg N/L) than in cattle given urea (36 mg N/L) or cottonseed meal (39 mg N/L). It is concluded that copra meal at a daily rate of 500 g/head, and with rumen soluble nitrogen from urea, is an effective supplement for improving growth of cattle on a low quality forage.

In this paper, we derive the CRLB (Cramer-Rao Lower Bound) of effective carrier-to-noise power ratio ($C/N_0$) estimation for a GPS (Global Positioning System) L1 C/A (Coarse/Acquisition) signal under band-limited white noise jamming environments. The quality of a received GPS signal is commonly described in terms of its $C/N_0$, implying that the noise is white and thus can be described by scalar noise density. However, if some intentional interference is received to a victim GPS receiver, then the $C/N_0$ is no longer the efficacious performance indicator. The correct and straightforward measurement to analyze the receiving situation is the effective $C/N_0$. In this paper, we consider a band-limited white noise jamming whose bandwidth is 2MHz and is the same as one of the first null-to-null bandwidth of the GPS L1 C/A signal.
In order to investigate the information for effective detection and developing of latent fingerprints, we identified fatty acids composition of latent fingerprints on non-porous evidence surface and the chemical changes of latent fingerprint residue after print deposition during 7 months. Fingerprints from eight Korean male donors (aged 29-50 years) and one female donor (aged 36 years) were collected. All fingerprints were found to contain lauric acid (C12:0), myristic acid (C14:0), palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), elaidic acid (C18:1n9t), oleic acid (C18:1n9c), linoleic acid (C18:2n6c), arachidic acid (C20:0), linolenic acid (C18:3n3), erucic acid (C22:1n9) and docosadienoic acid (C22:2) and primarily palmitic acid (35.45-48.37%), oleic acid (14.84-28.49%), stearic acid (9.71-24.96%) and linoleic acid (7.68-18.8%) occupied 75% of total fatty acids. When the fingerprints were deposited at dark room for 7 months, total fatty acids components decreased about 12-25%. It can be explained that significant degradation of long-chain fatty acids such as elaidic acid (C18:1n9t), arachidic acid (C20:0), linolenic acid (C18:3n3), erucic acid (C22:1n9), and docosadienoic acid (C22:2) resulted in the generation of myristic acid (C14:0), myristoleic acid (C14:1) and pentadecanoic acid (C15:0).
Zoogloea ramigera 115 was selected for the production of viscous microbial polysaccharide for bioflocculants usage. Batch, fed-batch, and continuous culture processes were examined with regard to the high biopolymer production. Several carbon sources were tested, including glucose, lactose, molasses, and cheese whey. The C/N ratio of 90 was most effective for biopolymer production from glucose, while the C/N ratios of 30 for lactose and 60 for both molasses and cheese whey substrate gave a maximum production. Fed batch culture proved more effective to increase final biopolymer concentration than batch culture. Continuous fermentation with two stages modifying C/N ratio increased the productivity. The production rates were a maximum at dilution rate of 0.048 $hr^{-1}$ for molasses and at 0.096 $hr^{-1}$for cheese whey.
The densifying behavior of ultrafine amorphous Si3N4 (about 20 nm)-$\beta$-SiC (about 40~80 nm) powders (O2 : 1.3~15wt%, 0$700^{\circ}C$ within 15 sec and then immediately cooled and held at 135$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 min in N2 atmosphere without resorting to additives using a Xe image heating apparatus. Using an ultrafine pure Si3N4 powder with particle size less than 30nm, further more, mixed with an appropriate amount of $\beta$-SiC, was found to be advantageous to obtain uniform and homogeneous microstructure. In addition, ultrafine Si3N4 powders were also proved to be effective as sintering additive on densifying large sized Si3N4 powder compacts.
In this research, n-based 4H-MOS Capacitor was fabricated with PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) process for improving SiC/$SiO_2$ interface properties known as main problem of 4H-SiC MOSFET. To overcome the problems of dry oxidation process such as lower growth rate, high interface trap density and low critical electric field of $SiO_2$, PECVD and NO annealing processes are used to MOS Capacitor fabrication. After fabrication, MOS Capacitor's interface properties were measured and evaluated by hi-lo C-V measure, I-V measure and SIMS. As a result of comparing the interface properties with the dry oxidation case, improved interface and oxide properties such as 20% reduced flatband voltage shift, 25% reduced effective oxide charge density, increased oxide breakdown field of 8MV/cm and best effective barrier height of 1.57eV, 69.05% reduced interface trap density in the range of 0.375~0.495eV under the conduction band are observed.
This paper reveals the effect of the effective case depth(ECD) on the fatigue behavior of a high-frequency induction hardened SM45C in rotated bending fatigue test. In addition, the effects of fracture modes(surface origin type, inner origin type) on it are discussed. The fatigue limit of the induction hardened steel is remarkably increased compared with that of base metal. In addition, the fatigue limit is linearly increased as the effective casedepth grows deep in the region of this experiment (ECD/R;0.23-0.49). The S-N curve and fracture mode in the induction case hardened steel are classified into two kinds, as a result : N$_{f}$<10$^{5}$ ;surface origin type fracture(at high stress), N$_{f}$>10$^{5}$ ; in ner origin type fracture(at low stress). In case of inner origin type fracture; as the effective case depth(ECD) gets deep, the fatigue limit is increased by the reason that the fracture origin moves toward center; in reverse, is decreased by reason that the compressive residual stress gets low. As a result, the increasing effect of the former is much bigger than the decreasing effect of the latter, and the fatigue limit is increased as the ECD gets deep.eep.
Fifty hydrocarbon-metabolizing microorganisms were isolated from soil samples polluted by the petroleum oils in Gamman-dong, Busan. Among them, strain 2-3A, showing strong emulsification activity, was selected by oil film-collapsing method. This bacterium was identified as Acinetobacter sp. and designated as Acinetobacter sp. 2-3A. The optimum temperature and pH on the growth of Acinetobacter sp. 2-3A were $25^{\circ}C$ and pH 7.0, respectively. The carbon and nitrogen sources for the most effective emulsification activity were 3.0% olive oil and 0.5% peptone, respectively. The 0.15% potassium phosphate was the most effective emulsification activity as a phosphate source. The optimum emulsification activity condition was $20^{\circ}C$, pH 7.0, and 2.0% NaCl. The optimum time for the best production of biosurfactant was 27 hrs. The emulsification stability was maintained at the temperature range from $4^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$, pH range from 6.0 to 10.0, and NaCl range from 0% to 10%. For the oil resolvability of the biosurfactant, the residual oils were investigated by gas chromatography. As a result, it was verified that the biosurfactant decreased and decomposed crude oils from $_nC_{10}$ to $_nC_{32}$.

In this study, effective simultaneous nitrification and denitrification reaction was accomplished in a completely mixed single bioreactor. As the important factors on the reaction, optimal DO concentration and effective range of influent C/N ratio was investigated with the synthetic wastewater. Experimental results show that stable nitrogen removals were accomplished with 0.5 mg/L DO concentration and over 7 C/N ratio. Nitrogen removal efficiency of the real municipal wastewater was low with 0.5 mg/L DO concentration because of its low C/N ratio. The increment of the C/N ratio at the inflow of the municipal wastewater with addition of external carbon source (glucose) over 7(up to 14) shows over 70% nitrogen removal in the single bioreactor.
