  • In order to investigate variables related to the life satisfaction of women from the multi-cultural families, this study collected relevant studies and applied meta-analysis. As a result, it was found, first, their life satisfaction was between the small effect size and the moderate effect size, on the basis of the relevant variables and Cohen's standards(1992). Second, of the sub variables of their individual characteristic variable, Korean proficiency and nationality acquisition were found to be the small effect size. Third, of the sub variables of their psychological variable and multiple culture-related variable, the effect sizes of self-esteem and the receptive attitude towards multiple cultures were found to be between the moderate effect size and the large effect size. Fourth, the sub variables of their social support variable were found to be generally highly correlated with their life satisfaction. Fifth, the sub variables of daily life and spouse-related variables showed very low levels of effect size overall. This study suggested conclusions and limitations of the research based on the results of the above analyses.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect size of non-pharmacological intervention applied to patients with anxiety disorder and to provide information about evidence-based intervention. Twenty three studies were selected for meta-analysis through a systematic review of domestic studies. We searched journal articles published in Korea up to May, 2015 using the key words "Anxiety Disorders (MeSH)" and "Treatment or Intervention". Meta-analysis was performed using a random effects model, and the effect sizes on each of anxiety and depression were calculated. The effect size for anxiety of non-pharmacological intervention in this study was Hedges' g=1.693 (95% CI; 1.267-2.120), indicating a large effect size. The effect size for depression was Hedges's g=1.571 (95% CI; 0.481-2.661), indicating a large effect size. It is significant that this study systematically synthesized the study results for non-pharmacological intervention effects applied to patients with anxiety disorders in Korea. It also established a basis that can be applied to nursing intervention.

MOSFET(Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor)의 소형화에 따른 쇼트 채널 효과(short channel effect)에 의한 threshold voltage($V_{th}$), Drain Induced Barrier Lowering(DIBL), subthreshold swing(SS) 또한 비교하였다. 이에 더하여, 기존의 상용툴로 NW를 해석한 시뮬레이션 결과와도 비교해봄으로써 NW의 size scaling에 대한 EDISON NW 해석 simulation의 정확도를 파악해보았다.

  • To understand of size effect in high-strength reinforced concrete continuous deep beams, 6 specimens with section overall depth ranging from 400 to 720mm were tested. Test results indicated that the size effect of continuous deep beams is slightly greater than in simply supported deep beams.

  • CAPM explains the rate of return for the risk asset by $\beta$, systematic risk. There are some assumption in CAPM. But CAPM can not explain the movement of stock price sufficiently due to limitation of the assumptions. Therefore many scholars study which variables with the exception of $\beta$ effect on the rate of return of risk asset for supplementing this limitation by using PER, size of firm etc.. But it will be natural that PER, size of firm etc. to be determinant factors of $\beta$ also effect on the abnormal rate of return, because PER, size of firm etc. used in their studies already effect on determination of $\beta$, . That is, the determinant factors of $\beta$ effect on determination of abnormal rate of return according as $\beta$, effects on abnormal rate of return. Therefore, this study tests empirically how the determinant factors of $\beta$, effect on determination of$\beta$, ,and how $\beta$ and the determinant factor of $\beta$ effect on the abnormal rate of return in CAPM.

  • Many The purpose of this paper is to revisit the existence of monthly effect in the Korea Stock Market. We conducted additory test about KOSPI200 from January 1990 to December 2002 and about KOSDAQ from January 2002 to December 2006. The other main focus is examine Size Effect in Korean Stock Market. We also indicate Information hypothesis throught our findig. Data used in this paper are monthly returns of KOSPI and KOSDAQ from 1980 to 2006. As a result, Evidence is provided that monthly abnormal returns in January have large means relative to the remaining eleven months. The relation between abnormal returns and size is always negative and more pronounced in January than in any other month-even in years. More than fifty percent of the January premium is attributable to large abnormal returns during the first week of trading in the year particularly on the first trading day. This finding is highly significant in the mall sized capital stock of KOSPI market. We found January effect and Size Effect in the KOSPI market, but we didn't find January effect and Size Effect in the KOSDAQ market and KOSPI200.

  • This paper investigates effect of gasoline price liberalization on price elasticity of gasoline demand. By using a model where a consumer optimizes her gasoline consumption and number of visits to gas station, we derive price elasticity of gasoline demand and its response to variation of size and frequency in price changes. It shows that price elasticity is decreased with increase in the size and frequency when the price rises. Since price liberalization increases the frequency but reduces the size, the effect of the liberalization on the price elasticity may not be determined. However, price liberalization can make the elasticity higher when the size reduction effect exceeds the frequency increase effect, which is consistent with empirical evidence provided by existing studies.

  • This article deals with the problem of testing whether the effect size in paired study exists. We propose Bayesian hypothesis testing procedures for the effect size in paired study under the noninformative prior. The noninformative prior is usually improper which yields a calibration problem that makes the Bayes factor to be defined up to a multiplicative constant. So we propose the objective Bayesian hypothesis testing procedures based on the fractional Bayes factor and the intrinsic Bayes factor under the reference prior. Simulation study and a real data example are provided.

  • In this paper we have studied the effect of water droplet size on nano-particle size distribution using SMPS(Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer)system. It can be seen that the unknown peak at >100 nm was caused by water droplets which did not dry completely when DI water was used as a solvent in the SMPS system. Therefore, it is important to dry water droplets generated from atomizer in the SMPS system when measuring the particle size distribution using less than 100 nm nano-particles in diameter. From this study, It can be concluded that the napion was a useful material as dryer ones and using EAG(Electro Aerosol Generator) as a particle generator was the most effective in reducing the effect of water droplets.
