The Effect of Consumer Socialization Factors on the Consumptionism Propensity of Adolescent Consumers: With Special Reference to Middle School Adolescent Consumers in Inchon (소비자사회학 작용인이 청소년소비자의 소비주의 성향에 미치는 영향: 인천광역시 중학생을 대상으로)

  • Relationships between consumer socialization factors and socioeconomic characteristics and consumptionism propensity were examined using a sample of 529 middle school students in Inchon, Korea. OL.S regression was utilized. 'Communication with friend' and 'acceptance of mass media' had significant positive effects on 'ego-identity developing and differentiating by uniqueness' and 'other oriented and appearance pursuing' propensity, whereas had a significant negative effect on 'consumption orientation', 'Communication with mother' had a significant positive effect on 'consumption orientation'. Boys where significantly higher than girls in 'ego-identity developing and differentiating by uniqueness' and girls were significantly higher than boys in 'other oriented and appearance pursuing'. 'Income had significant positive effects on ego-identity developing and differentiating by uniqueness'.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate customer satisfaction factors that affect customer loyalty and revisit intention, and the seven factors which comprise the marketing mix that affects customer satisfaction. loyalty, and intention to revisit. The purpose of the project is to propose a research model by testing the mediated effects of customer satisfaction and loyalty using mainly factor analysis, regression analysis, and mediation analysis. First the results showed that the marketing mix 7P factors influence customer satisfaction were identified as service delivery process, product, physical basis, and promotion. The factors that influence marketing mix 7P customer loyalty were tested in the order of service delivery, physical basis, product, and distribution. Second, the factors that affect customer loyalty were artists, service, and prices whereas the factors that affect customer satisfaction were tested in the order of service, artist, cosmetics, and price. Third, the factors affecting customer revisit intention were newly derived as treatment satisfaction, professionalism, and treatment products. Fourth, the relationship between marketing mix and customer revisit intention suggested that customer satisfaction and customer loyalty has a partial sale effect. It can be suggested on the basis of these findings that the effect of makeup service with marketing mix on customer revisit intention was analyzed and a new model was derived by analyzing the mediated effect of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.

  • Purpose: By empirically analyzing factors that affect the intention to introduce RPA, we aim to increase understanding of RPA introduction in small and medium-sized businesses and contribute to establishing an effective introduction strategy. The aim is to improve the company's productivity, reduce costs, and strengthen its competitiveness. It also provides policy recommendations for the introduction of RPA. Methods: A survey was conducted to examine whether the technical, organizational, and environmental factors of the TOE framework had an impact on the intention to adopt RPA. We also used stepwise regression analysis to determine whether firm size moderates this relationship. Results: Technical factors, organizational factors, and environmental factors were all found to have a significant impact on small and medium-sized enterprises' intention to adopt RPA. It was confirmed that company size has a moderating effect affecting the intention to adopt RPA. In particular, customer pressure, relative advantage, competitive pressure, age, government support, and the perceived ease of use of RPA was a key determinant of its adoption by small and medium-sized enterprises. Conclusion: This suggests that small and medium-sized businesses should comprehensively consider technical, organizational, and environmental factors when introducing RPA. It is expected to increase understanding of RPA introduction in small and medium-sized businesses, contribute to establishing effective introduction strategies, and contribute to improving company productivity, reducing costs, and strengthening competitiveness.

A Study on the Influence of the Expectation and Perceived Performance of the Online Science & Technology Information Service Quality on User Satisfaction and Royalty (온라인 과학기술정보 서비스 품질에 대한 기대수준과 성과에 대한 지각수준이 이용자 만족도와 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of the expectation and perceived performance of the online science & technology information service quality on user satisfaction and royalty. To achieve this goal, we use the NDSLQual model to measure the quality of NDSL service. The results were as follows: First, among seven expectation factors, four factors (reliability, convenience, system usability and information quality) had a positive effect on the user satisfaction. Second, while service recovery had a negative effect on the royalty, the other six factors (reliability, convenience, system usability, responsiveness, security and information quality) had a positive effect on the royalty. Third, among seven perceived performance factors, three factors (reliability, convenience and information quality) had a positive effect on the user satisfaction. Fourth, among seven perceived performance factors, three factors (reliability, convenience and information quality) had a positive effect on the royalty. As a result, information quality, reliability and convenience of the expectation and perceived performance are common factors influencing user satisfaction and royalty.

Meta-analysis of factors predicting resistance to intravenous immunoglobulin treatment in patients with Kawasaki disease

  • Purpose: Studies have been conducted to identify predictive factors of resistance to intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) for Kawasaki disease (KD). However, the results are conflicting. This study aimed to identify laboratory factors predictive of resistance to high-dose IVIG for KD by performing meta-analysis of available studies using statistical techniques. Methods: All relevant scientific publications from 2006 to 2014 were identified through PubMed searches. For studies in English on KD and IVIG resistance, predictive factors were included. A meta-analysis was performed that calculated the effect size of various laboratory parameters as predictive factors for IVIG-resistant KD. Results: Twelve studies comprising 2,745 patients were included. Meta-analysis demonstrated significant effect sizes for several laboratory parameters: polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) 0.698 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.469-0.926), C-reactive protein (CRP) 0.375 (95% CI, 0.086-0.663), pro-brain natriuretic peptide (pro-BNP) 0.561 (95% CI, 0.261-0.861), total bilirubin 0.859 (95% CI, 0.582-1.136), alanine aminotransferase (AST) 0.503 (95% CI, 0.313-0.693), aspartate aminotransferase (ALT) 0.436 (95% CI, 0.275-0.597), albumin 0.427 (95% CI, -0.657 to -0.198), and sodium 0.604 (95% CI, -0.839 to -0.370). Particularly, total bilirubin, PMN, sodium, pro-BNP, and AST, in descending numerical order, demonstrated more than a medium effect size. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, laboratory predictive factors for IVIG-resistant KD included higher total bilirubin, PMN, pro-BNP, AST, ALT, and CRP, and lower sodium and albumin. The presence of several of these predictive factors should alert clinicians to the increased likelihood that the patient may not respond adequately to initial IVIG therapy.

  • This study examined the factors affecting the behavioral intention for agricultural drone service. The survey results of 324 agricultural-related workers were analyzed using SPSS v22.0 and PROCESS macro v3.4. The effects of technology acceptance factors by UTAUT on the behavioral intention for agricultural drone service and the mediating effects of perceived benefits were analyzed. The results are as follows: First, the technology acceptance factors had positive (+) effects on perceived benefits and behavioral intention for agricultural drone service. Second, economics mediated between factors excluding performance expectancy and intention, convenience also mediated between factors excluding social influence and intention, and there was no significant mediating effect of practicality benefits. In the future, a further research is required for people trained in agriculture or drone or had a drone license.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of individual and environmental factors on the career identity of Chinese-Korean adolescents in Yanbian, China. Academic achievement and self-esteem were considered as individual factors, and parent attachment and teacher attachment were considered as environmental factors. This study sought to answer the question "Which individual and environmental factors had an effect on the career identity of Chinese-Korean adolescents in Yanbian, China?" The data was collected from 290 middle school students in Yanbian, China through the use of a survey. The results were as follows: self-esteem as an individual factor and teacher attachment as an environmental factor were found to have a significant effect on career identity. Also, teacher attachment as an environmental factor had the greatest effect on career identity. In the conclusion, we considered theoretical and practical implications of this study to improve the career identity of Chinese-Korean adolescents in China.

A Meta-analysis of The Factors Related to Bullying Damage Experience of Adolescent (청소년의 집단따돌림 피해경험과 관련된 요인에 대한 메타분석)

  • This study conducts meta-analysis of the effect size of related factors using research papers published within the past 20 years in relation to adolescent bullying experience in Korea. The verification results are as follows. First, in inducing factors, the overall effect size, personal psychology factor, and school life factor group showed a medium effect size. In the causative factors, the aggression, anxiety, stress, depression, suicidal thoughts, and school stress of school psychological factors showed a moderate effect size. Second, in terms of deterrent, the overall effect size, family environment factor, personal psychology factor, and school life factor group showed a medium effect size. In the sub-factors of determinants, the parenting attitude, parental support, and self-esteem and self-resilience of the family environmental factor group also showed a medium effect size. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it tried to quantitatively integrate the previous studies to examine objective results. It is meaningful that it provided basic data in program development and policy making to prevent and reduce the bullying of youth.

THE DENTAL FACTORS IN ORAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA (구강편평상피세포암에서의 치성요인)

  • The oral cavity has frequent contacts with many carcinogenic compounds and its soft tissue is continuously stimulated by numerous dental factors. We have examined the detailed dental factors and its correlation with oral squamous cell carcinoma, and denture-wearing effects to analyze the effect of the dental factors on the genesis of oral squamous cell carcinoma. We have studied clinical contributing factors and the dental factors in the genesis of oral squamous cell carcinoma when the effects of smoking and drinking are controlled. The study cases are 100 patients(75 males and 25 females) who were diagnosed histo-pathologically as squamous cell carcinoma at the Yonsei Medical Center. The control group was 154 patients who have no systemic malignant tumors. The effects of 6 dental factors were analyzed in this study. They were divided into the smoking group, the non smoking group, the drinking group, and the non-smoking group. The effects of dental factors were analyzed in each group. In this study, we have drawn some conclusions on the relationship between the dental factors and oral squamous cell carcinoma using $x^2$-test. 1. The repaired teeth have statistical significance on the genesis of squamous cell carcinoma. This is probably due to the combining effects of past poor oral hygiene and continuous stimulation due to poor prosthesis. 2. There is statistical significance of the lost teeth in the smoking group, and the repaired teeth and the degree of alveolar bone resorption had statistical significance in the non-smoking group. 3. Smoking and drinking by-itself have no statistical significance in the genesis of oral squamous cell carcinoma. However, in combination, they have statistical significance. In this study, dental factors had a synergistic effect with smoking and drinking. Together with avoidance of smoking and drinking, appropriate restoration and oral hygiene control are most important factors in the preventive aspects of the oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Visual Quality Optimization for Privacy Protection Bar-based Secure Image Display Technique

  • Abrupt scene changes generally incur the afterimage effect. So, the unblocked image portion is still viewed by human eyes just after it is blocked by some pattern. Yovo's secure display method utilized this phenomenon and it is systematically analyzed using computational afterimage modeling by replacing the complex afterimage effect via simple low-pass filtering. With this approach, realistic images perceived by the human eye can be computationally generated at every single moment, especially reflecting the afterimage effect. The generated images are compared with the original images to determine the factors that affect the image quality of the secure display method. The simulation results demonstrate that the ratio of the unblocked portion to the blocked portion of an image and the playback rate are two primary factors related to the recognized image quality. We also found that the two factors are still effective for generalized secure display techniques.
