Methods: A total of 8 male workers taking the safety and health education of the 7 safety experience education centers involved in this study (5 centers managed by Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), 2 centers of large commercial companies). This study used Photovoice, a qualitative method, as the study method. We conducted the photovoice-based in-depth interview with the SHOWeD questions and strategy and used the taxonomical analysis. Results: The study participants' perceived values of experience education were strengthening self-efficacy of the safety and health practices, providing practically useful information, and enjoying refreshing experiences different from daily jobs. Positive affecting factors of the experience education (pros) were providing the educational environments and opportunities of direct experiences, teaching practical safety and health contents for the participants, and the trainer's instruction competencies. Negative affecting factors of the experience education (cons) were learner's negative or standing postures during trainer's lecturing, insufficient exercise conditions and facilities for education, and difficult and theory-oriented lecture far from the practical jobs in reality. Conclusions: Major values of exercise education were direct experiences, useful contents and interesting opportunities from the education participants' perspectives. To improve the exercise education quality, overall educational environments such as convenience facilities as well as exercise facilities should be modified altogether. This study partially and conveniently used the photovoice method as the study limitation.

  • To prevent electric shock accidents, an experience education is more effective than indoctrination education. But an electric shock experience education system required a proper physical stimulation on human body to experience electric shock. This paper experiment threshold values of a human body by using Interferential Current Type Low Frequency Stimulator in order to apply to an electric shock experience education system. And the proper stimulation values are calculated according to age (divided child and adult) and gender. Results of this study could be applied to an electric shock experience education system.

  • Purpose. This study was to correlations between oral health education experience and subjective oral health level of elderly in Yeongnam region. Methods. The data were collected from 254 elderly in Yeongnam region. Data analysis was performed using cross Analysis, t-test(One-way ANOVA), logistic regression by SPSS WIN 17.0 program. Results. According to the general characteristics of the study subjects, 42.8% of those under 75 years and 57.2% of those over 75 years of age had never been educated, 50.7% of living expenses less than 1 million won and 37.3% of those below 2 million won had never received oral health education (p<.05). The differences in subjective oral health levels with or without oral health education experience showed higher limitations of function and impairment of social psychic function in the elderly with no experience than those with oral health education experience(p<.05). Correlation between oral health education experience and subjective health level of the elderly showed a positive relationship with each factor, meaning that the subjective oral health level was higher with oral health education(p<.05). Subjective oral health levels for functional limitations or social and psychological disorders were high in the elderly without oral health education(p<.05). Conclusion. Considering the impact of oral health education experience on the subjective oral health level of the elderly as above, we should develop various continuous and systematic programs that can increase prevention and post-education practices for the increase of education beneficiaries through diverse approaches to enhance their usability.

  • The Ministry of Public Safety and Security plans to expand fire safety education infrastructure to provide customized fire safety education, spread fire safety culture and develop a tailored fire safety education system as a part of the 2016 Citizens' Safety Improvement Policy. This study has also been designed to improve safety problems in the Republic of Korea. Even though safety education has been given, citizens aren't still able to experience a close-to-real situation. In addition, their understanding and satisfaction with the curriculum are very low. Therefore, this study offers VR fire-extinguishing experience education contents as an effective alternative. With a goal of having the participants experience fire extinguishing and evacuation drill in a virtual space, this program has the following advantages: i) safe fire-extinguishing experience; ii) UI to create fun ; iii) useful in fire-extinguishing education; iv) budget saving. we configure the VR fire experience system structure and hardware by applying UX design methodology. We also develop for VR-specific motion recognition plug-in and controller that can be feeling in HMD environment.

  • A comparative study was conducted to identify the effects of prenatal education on primiparas' self-confidence, satisfaction in maternal role performance and perception of delivery experience. Data were collected from 91 primiparas from August 1 to 30, 2001 using structured questionnaires. The subjects were selected from 2 OB & GY hospitals which operate the same prenatal education programs in M city. One group of subjects was primiparas who did receive prenatal education (n= 44) and another group of subjects was primiparas who did not receive prenatal education (n= 47). This study hypothesized that primiparas in education group would have higher self- confidence, satisfaction in maternal role performance and perception of delivery experience than those of non-education group. Descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, t-test, and correlation were used for data analyses. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Primiparas in prenatal education group would not have better perception of delivery experience than those of non-education group (t=1.405, p = 0.163). 2. Primiparas in prenatal education group would have higher self-confidence in maternal role performance than those of non-education group (t=7.669, p=0.000). 3. Primiparas in prenatal education group would have higher satisfaction in maternal role performance than those of non- education group (t=4.115, p = 0.000). 4. There was significant correlations between self-confidence and satisfaction (r=0.489, p=0.000). Moreover, there was significant correlation between self-confidence and perception of delivery experience (r = 0.284, p = 0.006). The results of this study indicated that prenatal education needs to be developed and applied to nursing practice to increase self-confidence and satisfaction in maternal role performance. Experimental studies are needed to identify the effect of prenatal education.

  • This paper examined the principles of experiential learning theory (ELT) relevant to learning from experience and introduces examples which were applied to medical education from a theoretical perspective. The experiential learning theory encompasses the theories of Dewey, Kolb, and Schon, whose key ideas highlight the continuity of experience, interaction of experience, and reflection. According to ELT, growth is education, and education is a reconstruction of experience. Experiential learning is a way of thinking about the educational process by constructing meaningful learning through reflection-in-action. This paper examines the learning principles of ELT and presents practical examples of the application of ELT and its implications for medical education. An in-depth understanding and application of ELT could benefit the field of medical education.
