  • Comparing with single structure constructed with reinforced concrete or steel, composite structures have a great advantage. However, in case of nuclear power structure, the application of a conventional single structure (reinforced concrete or steel structure) inflicts a heavy loss on a economical and constructive efficiency. But, the application of composite slab to nuclear power structure could compensate these deficiency. Therefore, in this study, the structural behavior of composite slab in nuclear power structure is observed to assure economical and constructive efficiency.

  • As a part of efforts to obtain high quality and economical efficiency of concrete, blast-furnace slag has been utilized by means of cement replacement. Therefore superior performance can be ensured, environmental pollution can be prevented and economical advantage can be obtained with utilization by cement replacement. But the studies on the blast-furnace slag are not systematic and reasonable. So, it was planed that basic data in regard to technique of manufacturing and economic improvement of concrete is showed with experimental comparison and investigation of Fluidity and engineering properties of concrete utilizing blast-furnace, industry by-product, as cement replacement in this study.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the design by using digital media the general hospital. The important result and advantage of the study are as follows; At first, applicability and maintenance of form and function design are enhanced and the digital media could be used for development of better and economical design. Secondly, the 3D CAD system useful for communication media and instructional tool for hospital planners and designers. Thirdly, fast and economical evaluation are obtained through the study of experimental simulation. Finally as a new tool in architectural field, the system helps to enhance the relationship between digital media and human. New concept and tools of hospital design are being developed in terms of its function, environment, and psychology. The computational design system should be improved for user friendly in the future.

  • Although there are many applications with gypsum board because of its economical and construction advantages, four-layer construction technique, (hollow area between two-layer panel sets) is the general case to achieve the insulation, and resistance of horizontally applied force. Since this construction method has many problems such as complicate construction steps and increased cost, it is needed that the two-layer panel for improved construction and economical advantage for lightweight pane: thick panel with favorable performances. Therefore, in this research, based on the ALC panel with 10 to 30mm depth, feasibility of the paper reinforced panel as a lightweight wall material. As a result, favorable performance with increased flexural strength were achieved with paper reinforcement.

  • Prestressed concrete girder(PSC girder) bridges have been used widely at the railway as well as highway because they are great in the functional and economical efficiency. Also they have the advantage of convenience of design and construction. Generally, the PSC girder railway bridges with span length 25m are adopted in the country and it could be easily verified that the section of PSC girder using railway bridge is excessive design, which has much redundancy against design loads. Thus, in this paper the optimum design for PSC girder railway bridge with span length 30m is performed. And from the results of analysis it is suggested to denote the optimum section which satisfies the structural safety and economical efficiency all together.

Supply chain management and artificial intelligence improve the microstructure and economic evaluation of composite materials

  • In the current study, we aim to evaluate both microstructural characteristics and economic benefits of composite structures from supply chain utilizing AI-based method. In this regard, the various aspects of microstructure of composite materials along with the features of supply chain are discussed and quantified. In addition, the final economic aspects of the composite materials and are also presented. Based on available data, a designed artificial neural network is utilized for prediction of both microstructure and economical feature of the composite material. The results indicate that the supply chain could affect the microstructure of final composite materials which in turn make changes in the mechanical properties and durability of composite materials.

  • 최근 들어 초대형 선박에 대한 논의가 활발해진 가운데 선사들은 선박 대형화에 의한 규모의 경제 효과를 꾸준히 추구하고 있다. 기술과 경제성이 보장되는 한 당분간 이러한 선박 대형화의 추세는 지속될 전망이다. 선박대형화에 따라 거주공간의 위치변화에 대한 필요성이 조심스럽게 제기되고 있다. 본 논문은 초대형 컨테이너선의 거주 공간 재배치에 따른 경제성 평가 분석에 관한 내용을 다루었다. 선박의 초기 설계 단계에서, 도면 생성의 보완과 검증을 통하여 거주구역과 엔진실의 공간을 분리하는 제안을 하였다. 그에 관한 장단점을 분석하고, 실현 가능성 여부를 경제성 평가 분석을 통해 검토하였다. 경제성 평가 방법을 위한 목적함수는 요구운임지수를 사용하였다. TEU 증가에 의한 경제성을 전망하고, 이러한 공간 재배치에 따른 조선소와 선주의 경제성 평가를 분석하여 선적 개수의 증가에 따른 경제성 전망을 제시하였다.
