This paper utilizes a life-cycle overlapping-generations model to quantify the welfare effects of plans to postpone the depletion of the National Pension Fund. In order for the model to incorporate the rapidly changing demographic structure of Korea fully, we build and calibrate a model in transition directly. The model is considered suitable for analyzing the effects of demographic changes on the Korean economy and the effects of plans to change the National Pension System. According to a simulation of the model, to postpone the depletion of the National Pension Fund for 30 years, the premium rate must be increased to 18.3% from the current rate of 9%. By postponing the depletion of the fund reserve, young and future generations gain significantly at the expense of the older generations. The simulation results should be, however, interpreted as meaning that the current system is unjustifiably partial to the older generations. Moreover, given the current premium rate, it is desirable to strengthen the income-redistribution function of the National Pension System.

With the recent global trends in environmental preservation, the importance of sustainable construction is being highlighted in Korea. In particular, the trend is being discussed about life cycle of the apartment houses in various aspects. However the Korean construction market and housing policy have been increasingly focusing on supplier. Structures become progressively obsolete after a certain period, but their durability can be extended with proper maintenance management. Accordingly, if maintenance management on the structures is made efficiently, waste of construction energy and damage to the environment and economic loss due to early demolition and reconstruction can be effectively prevented. Therefore, this study aims to suggest the user manual design for the efficient maintenance in apartment housing
This study was done develop the factors that affect the quality of life among pregnant women supportive, stress and anxiety. This study was a descriptive survey of 117 pregnant women residing in two regions D and S. Before the questionnaire, the purpose and purpose of the study were explained and proceeded SPSS 21.0 was used for the data, frequency analysis, variance analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, and rare analysis. The data was collected from January to February 2020. The results of this study are as follows. The differences in quality of life of pregnant women according to general characteristics showed significant differences in sleep time, economic status, health status, activity status and pregnancy cycle. Variables affecting quality of life were social support (β= .432, p= .000), pregnancy stress (β=- .407, p= .000), anxiety (β=- .182, p= .010). If pregnant women experience pregnancy stress and anxiety, the quality of life may be degraded, so it is necessary to develop a health promotion program for pregnant women.

It is theoretically known that recuperator can bring a significant increase in thermal efficiency of the gas turbine unit, but it also has disadvantages such as pressure loss in the flow channel, thermal stress and increase in weight. Therefore it is necessary to consider all pros and cons of this equipment in view of economic aspects throughout its life cycle. Recuperator has been applied mostly in the power ranges of $20\sim300kW$ class industrial units but hasn't been used as a larger power generation unit except for naval applications in mid twentieth century. Present paper considered the applicability of a recuperator cycle in term of pressure loss, part load aspects for power generation purpose.

Smart water cities (SWC) are urban municipalities that utilizes modern innovations in managing and preserving the urban water cycle in the city; with the purpose of securing sustainability and improving the quality of life of the urban population. Understanding the different urban water characteristics and management strategies of cities situate a baseline in the development of evaluation scheme in determining whether the city is smart and sustainable. This research herein aims to develop measurements and evaluation for SWC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and set up a unified global standard and certification scheme. The assessment for SWC is performed in technical, as well as governance and prospective aspects. KPI measurements under Technical Pillar assess the cities' use of technologies in providing sufficient water supply, monitoring water quality, strengthening disaster resilience, minimizing hazard vulnerability, and maintaining and protecting the urban water ecosystem. Governance and Prospective Pillar on the other hand, evaluates the social, economic and administrative systems set in place to manage the water resources, delivering water services to different levels of society. The performance assessment is composed of a variety of procedures performed in a quantitative and qualitative manner, such as computations through established equations, interviews with authorities in charge, field survey inspections, etc. The developed SWC KPI measurements are used to evaluate the urban water management practices for Busan Eco Delta city, a Semulmeori waterfront area in Gangseo district, Busan. The evaluation and scoring process was presented and established, serving as the basis for the application of the smart water city certification all over the world. The established guideline will be used to analyze future cities, providing integrated and comprehensive information on the status of their urban water cycle, gathering new techniques and proposing solutions for smarter measures.
Apartments amount to 58.3%, the highest proportion of domestic housing types. These apartments' lifespan (approximately 27 years) are one-third of the developed countries' housing lifespan due to the property developers and mass production. It is significantly short-cycle period considering the original physical lifespan of the apartment housing are 60 years. It has caused economic loss and environmental degradation. In recent years, research and development for the long life of the apartment housing has been actively performed, but it is limited on reconstruction and new construction. Reconstruction of existing a number of high-rise apartments is difficult owing to restrictions on the floor area ratio allowing for 40 years limit of decay resistance after the completion. Improving lifespan of the building has recently begun to receive attention as an alternative to remodeling. However, These sort of remodeling techniques tend to be focused on technology developed for the physical life extension. That means developing the techniques about dwelling-unit environment for residents satisfaction are required as well as improving physical construction. The purpose of this study is to propose and verify the Participatory Design Technique which can help the residents as the active participation in the design decision-making process.
The present study investigated characteristics of Korean hourehelds in the expanding stage of the family life cycle depending on decision-making of current and planned credit card use. Households which were selected for this study had at least one dependent child enrolled in primary, middle, or high school, 1998. Regarding current and planned credit card use, credit card holder (n=379) and non-holder (n=259) households and continuous (n=331) and discontinous (n=47) credit card holder households were compared. Comparisons were perfomed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and X2-test. Related factors were households demographic characteristics, financial management behavior, perceived financial well-being, and attitudes toward credit cards. Findings indicated that holder households tended to be younger, better educated, white-collar workers, and of a higher economic status than non-holders. In comparison to non-holder households, credit card holder households had more favorable atti udes toward credit cards, reported more financial management practices, experienced less financial unbalance, and were more satisfied with their household finaces. Compared to discontinuous credit card holder households, continuous card holder households tended to be larger, have better educated wives and husbands, and have husbands who were white-collar workers. They were more likely to have higher average monthly income than discontinuous holder households. Continuous card holder households also had more favorable attitudes toward credit cards, and more strongly believed and expected financial improvement of their households, compared to discontinuous card holder households.
The purposes of this study were to examine the time use on weekdays and weekends by the time amount of each activities and compare time amounts of single parent with that of two parents family. So two methods were applied, one was secondary data analysis ,the other was deep-interview. The major findings of analysis of time use were as follows; 1) Mothers in single parent family used significantly less time amount of household labor and family care than them in two parent family 2) Fathers in single parent family used significantly more time amount of household labor but used significantly less time amounts of family care than them in two parent family And 3) Mothers in single parent family used significantly more time amounts of household labor and family care than fathers in single parent family. The results of deep-interview were as follows; roughly the amounts of household labor time, family care time, leisure time were of little quantity and absence of spouse, family size, family life cycle stage, economic condition, sex role identity, psychological factor maybe seemed important.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the European paradigm of health investment and its implication. Conventional content analysis of WHO/EU(/EC)/European countries' policy data, and articles shows that the European paradigm of health investment is consist of the basic and extended models, twelve life-course-based health investment policies, and SROI evaluation method. Under climate change and urbanization, rainwater harvesting (RWH) systems are emerging as an alternative source of water supply because of growing concern about water sustainability. RWH systems can satisfy the various watering needs and provide the environmental benefits of lessening the damages from flood, drought, and runoff. The economic success of a RWH system is vitally concerned with the determination of the design capacity of storage tank to be built in the system. The design capacity is determined by the factors of average annual rainfall, period of water scarcity, and water price during the whole life-cycles. Despite the high uncertainties inherent in these factors, the current engineering design of RWH system construction often assumes that storage tanks should be built all at once. This assumption implicitly ignores the managerial flexibility in responds to the future as new information comes out-the right to build storage tanks stage by stage depending on the evolution of demand. This study evaluates the value of a multistage storage tank construction using a real option approach. A case study involving a typical RWH system construction in Jeonju, the Republic of Korea is conducted. The managerial flexibility obtained from the real option perspective allows engineers to develop investment strategies to better cope with the issue of water sustainability.
