This paper introduces the result of performing research analysis on awareness and demand on economic aspect of dwellers toward remodeling by aiming at the fact that there are existing dwellers which is the biggest feature of remodeling. Providing services that are suitable for economic conditions and demands of owners or dwellers of Apartment House could be seen as something that must be considered first above all things in remodeling in which consumers have to pay for expenses are specified.

The remarkable growth of China's economy over the past several decades has obtained tremendous achievements. The construction industry play a leading role un this rapid economic expansion. And China's huge construction market gives it great economic influence around the world, it has attracting many enterprises to entry, although many enter barriers and market risks exist. However many construction enterprises have not doing well, especially foreign construction enterprises are not doing as well as we thought in the Chinese construction market. Although China's construction market has great development and become increasingly open, foreign investors and contractors now have much broader access to the Chinese construction market than before. But nonetheless, there are a wide range of practical problems that bring potential risks for them to invest in China. This paper aims to identify foreign construction enterprises' position by understanding the local market environment, and adopt he SWOT analysts Identifies the foreign construction enterprises' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the Chinese construction market, to Proposes appropriate Strengths-Opportunities (SO), Weaknesses-Opportunities (WO), Strengths-Threats (ST) and Weaknesses-Threats (WT) strategies to make the foreign construction enterprises movling forward.

Precast Concrete (PC) construction method can be the one that is suitable for long-life housing due to its merit in respect of maintenance and durability based on crack-free from mass production with indirect construction cost-saving-effect due to shortening construction period comparing to the conventional construction method, but it has the problem that causes the raise of direction construction costs. So, this study analyzed its economic feasibility of PC method whose maintenance and durability are excellent for underground parking lot of apartment house for accomplishing cost-saving long-life housing by applying the various structural system. In evaluation of unit module structural system, two-way PC system requires 10 to 28% more costs for frame work than RC rigid frames, and, one-way PC system 98~112%. Although it varies depending on the method, the costs are similar to RC rigid frame structure, provided a proper method is adopted. Also, Model 11, which was most economical in the evaluation, was applied to an real parking lot and about 2 to 6% of construction costs was reduced than RC rigid frames. This seems to be because, although PC system has a higher production cost, introduction of P.S (prestress) reduces member depth and, therefore, height, as well as the number of members per unit module.

노후 고층아파트의 재고 확대로 이에 대한 대안으로 재건축과 리모델링이 제시되었다. 재건축사업은 물리적인 노후화보다 기능적, 사회적, 경제적 노후화를 이유로 실시되어 주택의 조기 멸실에 따른 사회적 비용 증대 등 여러 가지 문제점이 제시되었다. 이에 재건축에 대한 규제는 강화되고 리모델링 관련 제도가 개선될 예정이다. 리모델링 사업의 경제성 분석에 대한 기존의 연구가 강남과 잠실 등 개발이익이 큰 곳에 편중되어 있었다. 본 연구에서는 비도심지 아파트 소유자의 입장에서 재건축과 리모델링 시 경제성 검토에 대한 하나의 안을 제시해보고자 한다.

The growing size and complex process in construction project recently leads to increase risk and the losses as well. Even though researchers have identified the major risk indicators, there is lack of comprehensive and quantitative research for identifying the relationship between the risk indicators and economic losses associated with construction projects. To address this shortage of research, this study defines risk indicators and create a framework to assess the influence of economic losses from the indicators. An insurance company's claim payout record was accepted as the dependent variable to reflect the real economic losses. Based on the claims, we categorized the causes and results of accidents. To establish framework, built environment vulnerability indicators and geographical vulnerability indicators were employed as the risk indicators. A Pearson correlation analysis was adopted to validate the relationship with loss ratio and risk indicators. Consequently, this framework and its results may offer significant references for under writers of insurance companies and loss prevention activities.

Underground infrastructure systems provide essential public services and goods through buried structures including water and sewer, gas and petroleum, power and communication pipelines. The majority of existing underground infrastructure systems was installed in green field areas prior to development of complex urban built environments. Currently, there is a global trend to escalate major demand for underground infrastructure system renewal and new installation while minimizing disruption and maintaining functions of existing superstructures. Therefore, Engineers and utility owners are rigorously seeking technologies that minimize environmental, social, and economic impact during the renewal and installation process. Trenchless technologies have proven to be socially less disruptive, more environmentally friendly, energy conservative and economically viable alternative methods. All of those benefits are adequate to enhance overall sustainability. This paper describes effective sustainable solutions using trenchless technologies. Sustainability is assessed by a comparison between conventional open cut and trenchless technology methods. Sustainability analysis is based on a broad perspective combining the three main aspects of sustainability: economic; environmental; and social. Economic includes construction cost, benefit, and social cost analysis. Environmental includes emission estimation and environmental quality impact study. Social includes various social impacts on an urban area. This paper summarizes sustainable trenchless technology solutions and presents a sustainable construction method selection process in a proposed framework to be used in urban underground infrastructure capital improvement projects.

Overseas construction industry has performed the leading role in the economic development. In this study, effect of international oil prices, GDP and price index, on the regional international construction contract amount is compared and analyzed. Overseas construction market received a devastating effect due to the 1997's economic crisis. However, the market has remained stable since 1998, and since 2005, the trend has been a surge in new orders.

Recently, construction project has greatly increased the needs for cost savings due to excessive competition and economic recession. The purpose of this study is to introduce application of building using optimal design technique for improving constructability and economic efficiency of structural wall. As a results, design results of irregular wall show about 15% reduction of the longitudinal bar compared to single walls and ultimately improve constructability.

Currently, due to remodeling of newly built apartment, national resource loss and personal economic loss are being occurred and construction wastes are making more environmental issues. This study aims to devise reduction in cost and economic loss coming from remodeling by selecting general house size of apartment, carrying out surveys and investigating current status of remodeling before and after moving into newly built apartments.
