산림교육 패러다임 분석틀의 개발과 적용 (Development and Application of the Framework for Analyzing Forest Education Paradigms)

  • This study was aimed at developing and providing textbook writers with information and materials required to introduce forest education ideas and paradigm into primary, middle, and high school students, responding to establishment of the new national curriculum. Research methods included interview with school teachers, literature review on forest education and policy, analysis of writings and drawings of elementary school students. As a primary result, the study produced a framework that can be applied to analyze and understand how people think of and put a value on forest, consisting of 1) Resource-Economic Perspective, 2) Environmental-Ecological Perspective, 3) Cultural-Educational Perspective, and 4) Existential-Ethical Perspective. To test its validity, the developed framework was applied to the processes of reorganizing and interpreting the outcomes of teacher interview and writings and drawings of elementary school students. The results of applications showed that current school education mostly focused on ecological-environmental (about 50%) and cultural-educational (about 30%) perspectives on forest. To improve the quality of current forest education in schools, five main directions including integration, balance, interrelatedness, identity, and systematic approaches were suggested.

  • The ecological expression of art in modern society takes the harmonious developmental relationship between man and nature as an element and combines it with the various manifestations of painting as an expression of ecological artistic development. The necessary relationship for the harmonious development of nature is accurately articulated, and the ecological changes in people are expressed in integrated materials that inspire human reflection. In the pursuit of material pleasures, mankind is neglectful and indifferent to the environment. The development of composite painting in art and ecology is a process that more reveres the harmony between man and nature as well as satisfying the creative value of the work. After systematic evaluation and research, people have engaged in various structural forms of composite art painting development in the long history of art development, focusing on the integration of environmental and ecological culture.In the process of nature education going through development, the comprehensive practical development of nature education is enhanced and efforts are made to feel new ecological art ideas and new ways of valuing environmental protection. In this paper, an observational study of eco-art will be carried out, starting from the theory of hierarchical division and analyzing the contradictory relationship between man and nature. Recognize nature, understand it and feel it through eco-art painting. The analysis of the contradictory relationship between man and nature is combined with the identification of various types of information that give value to the environmental protection public, and the combination of ecological painting and nature art to achieve an upgrade of the environmental protection idea of the value of painting.

Toward a Systemic Approach to Quality Assurance in e-Learning: An Ecological Perspective

  • Challenges brought by applications of advanced technologies in education call for new approaches that can best ensure the provision of quality e-learning experiences. This paper presents an ecological approach as one of such approaches to quality assurance in e-learning that can monitor, assess and improve the effectiveness and the links between the various elements of e-learning. The ecological model for QA in e-learning emphasizes interrelation transactions between elements (e.g. providers, learners, cultures and policies) and systemic integration of those elements, and stresses that all these elements within a QA system play an equal role in maintaining balance of the whole. The model focuses attention both on individual and societal/cultural environmental factors as cornerstones for QA efforts in e-learning. It addresses the importance of QA efforts directed at changing QA transactions from provider-centered to 'all stakeholder-oriented', from one-size-fits-all model to 'globally oriented, locally adaptive model' and from control framework to 'culture creation framework'.

대구 지역 초등학교의 생태학습장 조성과 활용 (Making and Using an Ecological Learning-Place in Primary Schools in Daegu)

  • Because of the rapid industrialization and urbanization, urban dwellers are lack of opportunity to contact with nature, and hence alienated from it. In particular, primary school children who are very sensible to nature need more opportunities to learn nature by direct interactions with it. For this purpose, a movement for making and using ecological learning-place in play-ground within primary school. It has been found as a result of research on ecological learning-places in 7 primary schools in Daegu that such places, equipped with several ecological facilities, provide both pupils and local dwellers around schools with a place for ecological learning and for rest. But some of them have been left without care and hence can not be properly used, because of inappropriate site, insufficient facilities, and deficient programme for practical use. In conclusion, the paper reconfirms importance of ecological learning-place within grounds of primary school in terms of its educational, social and ecological effects, and suggests briefly some measures to encourage its construction and practical use.

이용객 생태 인식 증진을 통한 수변공원의 효율적인 보전 및 관리 (Efficient Conservation and Management of Waterside Parks by Promoting Ecology Awareness of Visitors)

  • 본 연구는 1) 수변공원에 서식하는 생물상 및 생태현황 조사를 통해 수변공원의 생태적 가치를 평가하고, 2) 조사결과를 기반으로 한 생태교육 및 홍보를 통해 수변공원에 대한 이용 및 비이용객의 생태적 인식 변화를 분석하였다. 수변공원 92개소를 대상으로 생물상 조사를 수행한 결과, 수변공원에서는 멸종위기종 9종(벌매, 붉은배새매, 새호리기, 흰목물 떼새, 삵, 수달, 맹꽁이, 수염풍뎅이, 은줄팔랑나비)을 포함하여 다양한 생물의 서식이 확인되었다. 수변공원은 비록 인간의 이용을 위한 친수적인 성향으로 조성되었지만, 일부 자연성이 높은 지역은 생물서식처로 가치가 높은 것으로 평가되었다. 수변공원에 대한 인식 정도를 평가하기 위해, 금강유역 내 5개 지역(대전, 세종, 청주, 공주, 부여)에서 이용객 현황을 조사하고, 생태교육 및 홍보를 실시하였다. 총 200명을 대상으로 이용객 현황을 조사한 결과, 생태공원에 대한 이용객이 비이용객보다 더 많은 비율을 차지하였으며, 연령별로는 40대가 가장 높은 이용률을 나타냈다. 대전이나 청주 등의 지역에서 수변공원의 이용 빈도는 다른 지역보다 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 대전이나 청주는 도심구간으로 수변공원 외에도 체육시설이나 카페 등의 여가시설이 상대적으로 많아 수변공원에 대한 의존도가 타 지역보다 낮은 것으로 사료된다. 이용객은 이용대상 수변공원과 실제 거주지간 거리가 가까울수록 이용 빈도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 이용객 대부분이 수변공원을 '생활체육공간'으로 인식하고 있기 때문에 도보가 가능한 거리가 아니면 활용 빈도가 낮은 것으로 보인다. 이러한 수변공원에 대한 인식은 생태교육 및 홍보 후 '보전'적인 측면으로 인식하는 비율이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 인식 변화는 이용객(80%)이 비이용객(38%)보다 더 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 볼 때, 생태교육 및 홍보는 수변공원을 직접적으로 이용하여 특성이나 제원 등에 대한 이해도가 높은 이용객에게 더 효과적인 것으로 판단된다. 결과적으로, 1) 수변공원은 비록 친수적인 성향을 가지고 조성되었으나, 일부 지역은 멸종위기종의 서식하는 등 생물서식처로서 가치가 높은 것으로 평가되며, 2) 이를 볼 때, 수변공원에 대한 인식은 친수적인 성향만이 강조된 부분에서 보전적인 측면으로 강화가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 인식 변화는 추후 수변공원에 대한 관리나 정비계획 수립 시 친수와 보전적인 측면이 공존하는 수변공원 조성에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

초등학생의 스마트폰 중독과 환경적 요인의 관계 (The Relationship Analysis between Smartphone Addiction and Ecological Factors of Elementary Students)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생의 스마트폰 중독과 환경적 요인의 관계를 파악하기 위해 생태체계요인으로서 통학구역에 따른 스마트폰 중독 실태 및 역기능 실태의 차이를 확인하였다. 통학구역은 방과후학교 자유수강권 비율이 높은 학교와 낮은 학교를 선정하여 769명을 대상으로 설문 분석하였다. 분석 결과 생태체계요인은 초등학생의 스마트폰 중독에 유의미한 영향을 주었으며 통학구역에 따라 초등학생의 스마트폰 중독 및 역기능 실태에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 또한 통학구역에 따라 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 주는 생태체계요인이 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 결과 분석을 통해 스마트폰 중독은 개인적인 성향에서 시작되는 것이 아니라 개인, 가정, 학교 및 사회가 협력해야 하는 문제라는 것을 제시하였다.

생태주의 환경관의 재구성을 통한 북미 원주민의 생태주의 환경관 분석과 환경교육점 시사점 (An Analysis of the Native North Americans' Environmental Views by Reorganized Ecocentrism and the Implications for Environmental Education)

  • This study started from the need to change the technocentric view of environment into the ecocentric one to overcome ecological crisis today. Thus, the purposes of this study are to reorganize characteristics of ecocentrism, to analyze ecocentrism of Native North Americans as a realistic model, and to finally find suggestions to environmental education. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; Frist, the ecocentric perception on relationship between human beings and nature pursues co-existence through harmony and balance based on holistic understandings. And the ecocentric perception on relationship among human beings attempts to preserve environment by overcoming rule structure among them. The ecocentric perception on relationship between human beings and spirituality is to set life goals to achieve spirituality rather than to pursue material life. Second, Native North Americans have a holistic world view that human beings and nature are an inseparable one through the symbol of 'the Sacred Circle'. They also lived simple lives which satisfies vital needs instead of pursuing material lives in terms of the perception on relationship among human beings. When it comes to the perception on relationship between human beings and spirituality, they feel sacredness from all things in daily life and want to have peaceful relationships with their own inside through spirituality toward 'Mother Earth'. Third, the ecocentrism of Native North Americans make suggestions that environmental education confirm again what roles of human beings are in ecosystem, and that it helps students develop ecological sensitivity by giving them many opportunities to go to field trips. Furthermore, environmental education helps them positively think about and actively choose simple life. In addition, it has to be designed to help students seek sacredness in daily life through ecological imagination. This study has values of newly organizing characteristics of each ecocentric idea by integrating it from complementary aspects, and pursuing direction of ecocentrism and its realistic possibility by analyzing the ecocentrism of Native North Americans as a model of ecological life.

생태형 해양스포츠의 체육교육 적용을 위한 지식구조; 배구형 게임과 수영을 중심으로 (A Knowledge Structure for Physical Education Application of Ecological Marine Sports; Focusing on Volleyball Games and Swimming )

  • 이 연구는 생태형 해양스포츠의 체육교육 적용을 위한 지식구조를 구성하는 것에 목적이 있다. 구체적인 종목으로는 배구형 게임인 비치발리볼과 바다수영이 설정되었으며 연구수행을 위하여 지식구조 분석틀을 활용하였다. 연구의 타당성을 확보하기 위하여 전문가협의를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2022개정 체육과 교육과정 시안에 기반한 지식구조를 마련하였다. 둘째, 생태형 해양스포츠의 체육수업 적용 기반을 마련하였다.셋째, 비치발리볼의 지식·이해 영역, 과정·기능 영역, 가치·태도 영역의 학습 내용을 제안하였다. 넷째, 바다수영의 지식·이해 영역, 과정·기능 영역, 가치·태도 영역의 학습 내용을 제안하였다. 이 연구는 향후 도입될 2022개정 체육과 교육과정의 실현된 모습을 미리 대비하였다는 것에 의미가 있다.
