  • In this paper, by using MPEC-4 systems, it is easy to create MPEC-4 file and to design multimedia which it understands. Also, by using a MPEG-Pro it is proposed that the user understood the data transfer and expression etc. easily and it added the focus processing function it will be able to design and to be possible individual learning which is easy with the CD and web program. The effectiveness of this new multimedia courseware using MPEG-4 have been proven by experiments in practical teaching-learning method of courseware

  • This paper proposes a magnetic analysis model and design method of transformer for the high-speed EMU. It has a many part of the consideration in design because the transformer in high-speed train has the multiple output. Also the output characteristic, weight, and size of transformer is an important factor. This research proposes a design method of transformer in high-speed EMU. And it is easy to design by using the analysis model in design the transformer through the establishment of the magnetic analysis model.

  • Web Services for CAD (WSC) aims at interoperation with CAD systems based on Web Services. This paper introduces one part of WSC which enables remote users to retrieve assembly model data using Web Services. However, retrieving assembly model data takes long time. To resolve this problem, this paper proposes using parallel Web Services. As assembly models comprise a set of part models, it is easy to separate the problem domain into smaller problems. In addition, Web Services inherently supports distributed computing. This characteristic makes the parallel processing of Web Services easy. Firstly, the implementation of WSC which retrieves assembly model data based parallel Web Services is shown. And then, for the comparison, the experiments on the retrieval of assembly model data based on single Web Services and parallel Web Services are shown.

  • Recently, quadcopters have been popular as aerial drones. The structure of quadcopters is simpler than traditional helicopters and they are easy to construct and maneuver. Various hardware platforms for quadcopters have been developed. However, the controller design is not easy due to the requirement of 6-DOF flights using 4 rotors(control inputs)(under-actuated systems). In order to overcome the underactuation problem, various control methods - PID, LQR, $H_{\infty}$, SMC, backstepping control, and etc. - have been suggested for the control of quadcopters. In this paper, dynamic features and control methods of quadcopters are reviewed and evaluated. Future works are proposed for designing the advanced controllers of quadcopters.

  • OPC has made it to improve the development of control and monitoring software. But it is difficult to understand COM/DCOM model that is a base technology of OPC and complex communication setting between OPC Server and OPC Client. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement ActiveX based components that are enable to solve these problems. Implemented components provide a method for simple communication between OPC Sewer and OPC Client and a GUI environment for easy and fast setting of communication information. Also, they provide the architecture fur efficient management of OPC Server's data. By using implemented component, easy development and efficient maintenance of OPC Client can be supported.

  • Color is an imfortant factor for interior design. But both selecting the appropriate color and combinating many color are not easy. Actually designers spend much time searching interior images published in magazine to refer to previous cases of the color combination. And the side up, they undergo a process to try to search own hoping color in the interior design example of the magazine. As an alternative to avoid this inefficient process, this study provides a method to show good cases of color combination. This method can reduce trial and error in the determination the color combination.

  • Expert system is a practical application part of the artificial intelligence and can be generally described as a computer-based system designed to simulate the knowledge and reasoning of a human expert, and to make that knowledge conveniently available to other people in a useful way. Expert systems consist of three major components, knowledge base, inference engine and user interface. In this paper, it is aimed to construct a prototype system to design the horizontal-typed pressure vessel. To do this, a representative artificial programming language, Turbo Prolog, was employed, and the knowledge representation was mainly done by the production rule such as "If(condition), than (action)" style and by the predicate logic. In the developed system, it was quite easy to represent the knowledge of "If(condition), then (action)"style and by the predicate logic.   • Because of the reduced product life-cycle, industries are making an effort to bring down the process planning time. In the traditional approach, we have to analyze established process planning, then design the time chart based on process information and drawing the formal time chart such as SOP(sequence of operation). Thereafter, it will be converted to PLC code that is a time consuming and redundant job. Similarly, Industrial automated process uses PLC Code to control the factory; however, control information and control code(PLC code) are difficult to understand. Hence, industries prefer writing new control code instead of using the existing one. It shows the lack of information reusability in the existing process planning. As a result, to reduce this redundancy and lack of reusability, we propose SOS-Net modeling method. Unlike past stabilized process planning that is rigid to any change; our proposed SOS-Net modeling method is more adaptable to the new changes. The SOS-Net model is easy to understand and easy to convert into PLC Code accordingly. Therefore, we can easily modify the control information and reuse it for new process planning. The proposed model plays an intermediary role between process planning and PLC code generation. It can reduce the process planning and implementation time as well as cost.

  • In parameter design introduced by Taguchi, we analyze a signal-to-noise(SN) ratio. The SN ratio is a function of the expected loss due to the variation of quality characteristic. In this paper, an easy way for developing SN ratios is presented, which can be used to several quality characteristics simultaneously in parameter design. To develop such multivariate SN ratios, the transformation method of the expected loss and combining techniques are employed. And the analysis of real empirical data for an application of the proposed method is also presented.
