  • We propose here sequential 2 methods for obtain information of current or potential data for power transmission line. One is a digital data transmission unit, this is, an output of a current sensor of power transmission line is digitalized by use of an easy asynchronous protocol. The unit has high speed transform rate, easy making header caused of consisting of only logic circuit. The other is, the output of the unit is transformed via LAN interface and displayed on a personal computer. Design of a Remote Control Application Using Mobile Phone with WPAN Platform

  • In this paper, we design a mobile phone based remote control system for PC using SKT WPAN platform and compare the presented platform with that of Windows Mobile. The usability of WPAN is one of the main issues which should be considered for the ubiquitous services. For easy development and easy use of the WPAN applications, SKT WPAN platform provides abstract WPAN APIs and WPAN Application Manager for ubiquitous services. In this paper, we implement a remote control application using the WPAN platform and show the validity of the platform comparing with other platforms. In the implemented application, we use WPAN abstract APIs on the mobile phone side and a general Bluetooth APIs on the PC for a connection between phone and PC. Through the implementation and comparison, we show that the WPAN application can be easily developed with WPAN platform.

  • This study first tries to investigate factors that determine the quality of mobile game contents. Base on the information and information system-related studies, our research proposes to show the relationship among the quality of mobile game contents, the level of perceived easy of use and the perceived usefulness. Mobile game contents service providers can get insight on factors that should be considered to improve the quality of contents services. Also, the research findings provide a clue on the success of mobile game service.

  • With the spread of electronic commerce, Internet auction systems have become widely used, because they overcome the spatial and the temporal limitations of traditional auction systems. However, most of current Internet auction systems have many shortcomings such as support for limited auction types, difficulty in registering items, maintenance problems, etc. This paper designs and implements a component-based seller-driven Internet auction system, which complements those traditional auction systems as follows: It allows sellers to select one of the auction types they want by answering questions which eventually lead to a specific auction type; Since it implements five basic auction types according to the principles of component-based development, it is easy to implement diverse types of auction systems with a slight modification to existing components. Further, the use of DAO concept makes it easy to use various commercial database systems.

  • Conventional techniques for solving the noise problem have problems to generate different results, depending on the image size and weight values of the used masks, and they require many operations by using a complex formula. In this paper, we propose an image enhancement algorithm to solve the noise problem in a simple, yet easy-to-use way. For this purpose, we determined the difference between the noise of the two adjacent pixels for the horizontal and vertical, and for the two diagonal directions that each of the noise problem occurred, and then we got the average value of these pixel values. Then, we solve the noise problem by using the optimal average value in accordance with occurrence of the noise in the horizontal and vertical, and two adjacent pixels in a diagonal direction. As a result, we got the result that the noise solution in a simple, yet easy-to-use method to obtain a resultant image.

  • The demand for agricultural information system are small but expanding in Korea. Use of information system in farm extension hilps both farmers and extensionists. This study undertakes surveys of literature on information system and extension to finds their relationship. Use of the information system can make extension service more effective if it is developed to meet following factors; 1) consider real farm problem; 2) solve the problems; 3) generate more values than costs; 4) consider real farm environments; 5) comprehensive enough to consider all relevant knowledge domain; 6) sensitive enough to meet the changes in farm environment; 7) educational and easy to learn; 8) easy to maintain.

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 커뮤니케이션 매체특성이 그룹의 협력과 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 메신저와 e-Learning시스템을 대상으로 비교분석하였다. 독립변수인 커뮤니케이션 매체특성은 풍부성(richness), 동기성(synchronization), 유연성(flexibility), 이용편이성(easy of use)으로 구분하였으며, 이 매체특성들이 그룹의 협력에 미치는 영향과 궁극적으로 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 밝혀내고자 하였다. 검증을 위해 실제 그룹 프로젝트를 수행하는 실험 설계를 이용하였다. 연구결과 메신저를 주로 이용하여 프로젝트를 수행한 그룹에서는 커뮤니케이션 매체특성으로 풍부성과 이용편이성이 협력을 증진시키는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, e-Learning 시스템을 주로 이용한 그룹에서는 이용 편이성만이 협력을 증진시켰으며, 궁극적으로 프로젝트 성과를 향상시키는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Outlining Tool as an Easy-to-Use Designing Tool for a Novice Programmer (개요도구: 초보 프로그래머를 위한 간편 설계도구)

  • In this research, we show that constructing a specific job-processing-sequences like a OPL paragraph in OPM (we call it int a new terminology 'program', which just means plan) is essential step in programming, just like a blueprint for a wood furniture or a house. As a result of our research on how to produce a specific job-processing-sequences without OPM, we found that outlining tool is the most easy-to-use tool for the required job. We show that the MS-word outlining function can be used easily as a good programming supporting tool with Visual Studio C/C++.

An Analysis of Factors Influencing Switching Intention toward Online Platform-based Easy Payment Service with Moderating Effects of Policy Expectations: Focusing on (정책기대의 조절효과를 고려한 플랫폼 기반 간편결제 서비스로의 전환의도 영향 요인 분석: <카카오페이> 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study identifies possible determinants that may have influences on the switching behavior from the current payment system of credit or check cards to the easy payment service based on push-pulling-mooring model. And this research empirically tests how those determinants affect switching intention to the easy payment service. The moderating effect of policy expectation is also taken into account. The findings show switching intention to the easy payment service is influenced by the followings: dissatisfaction with the current payment system as a pushing factor, perceived easy of use and trust in easy payment service as pulling factors, and affective/cognitive inertia and unfavorable subjective norm as mooring factors. The results also show that moderating effect of policy expectation exists in the relationship between perceived ubiquitousness and switching intention.

Simple hypotheses testing for the number of trees in a random forest

  • In this study, we propose two informal hypothesis tests which may be useful in determining the number of trees in a random forest for use in classification. The first test declares that a case is 'easy' if the hypothesis of the equality of probabilities of two most popular classes is rejected. The second test declares that a case is 'hard' if the hypothesis that the relative difference or the margin of victory between the probabilities of two most popular classes is greater than or equal to some small number, say 0.05, is rejected. We propose to continue generating trees until all (or all but a small fraction) of the training cases are declared easy or hard. The advantage of combining the second test along with the first test is that the number of trees required to stop becomes much smaller than the first test only, where all (or all but a small fraction) of the training cases should be declared easy.
