임부의 위험상태에 따른 모성역할 획득의 예측인자들 (Predictors of Maternal Role Acquisition by Risk Status)

  • One hundred two high-risk women(HRW) and 115 low-risk women(LRW) were studied at post-partal hospitalization and at 1, 4, and 8 months after giving birth to determine whether they would differ in the achievement of perceived maternal acquisition and whether predictors of maternal acquisition would differ for the two groups over time. The subjects were 102 HRW and 115 LRW, all in the above 27 weeks, admitted to two hospitals and to two clinic in the Kyoungnam area between July 1, 1998 and May 4, 1999. The data were analyzed by a SPSS program and the results are as follows ; 1) Predictors of Maternal role acquisition in the HRW were fetal attachment, maternal attachment, state anxiety, relationships of partner, social support in the early postpartum, maternal attachment, relationships of partner, depression, infant's health status in the postpartal 1 month, relationships of partner, self-esteem, educational degree in the postpartal 4 month, and maternal attachment, social supports in the postpartal 8 month. 2) Predictors of Maternal role acquisition in the LRW were fetal attachment, social supports, perceived experience about labor and delivery in the early postpartum, maternal attachment, sense of mastery in the postpartal 1 month, sense of mastery, experience with infants, relationships of partner in the postpartal 4 month and maternal attachment, experience with infants, social supports in the postpartal 8 month. 3) The hypothesis that HRW would score significantly lower on maternal competency than LRW was rejected. 4) The hypothesis that maternal acquisition would be significantly related to maternal attachment was accepted.

존 듀이의 교육철학에 따른 학교와 공간구성 개념 고찰 (A Study on the Concept of Schools and Spatial Composition According to Educational Philosophy by John Dewey)

  • This study considers the concept of schools and their spatial composition by John Dewey through literature review who argued for a new, children-centered education in the early 19th century, and it also mentions some suggestions for improvement of the elementary school facilities in Korea that the size and number of students in school has decreased sharply. John Dewey claimed that a school is a big household as well as a small society in which one studies the current occupation and experience in connection between the household-school-society. At the same time, he pursued an organic and open spatial composition which can effectively and efficiently enable educational curriculum's application, social occupation and project learning based on children's native impulse and stage in child growth. Korea's education policy should shift from quantity-based education production to quality-based production due to the reduction of school age population among other reasons. Especially this study emphasizes that small size schools need to be changed to local community facilities with environment-friendly, children-centered and open learning spatial composition with basis on John Dewey's educational philosophy.

텃밭가꾸기 체험활동이 유아의 탐구능력과 식생활 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Experience Activities for Kitchen Garden Cultivation on Children's Inquiry Skills and Dietary Attitudes)

  • 본 연구는 텃밭가꾸기 체험활동이 유아의 탐구능력과 식생활 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적을 갖고, 대전광역시에 위치한 어린이집 만 4-5세반 원아를 대상으로 실험집단 35명(남 20명, 여 15명)과 통제집단 20명(남 8명, 여 12명)의 총 43명을 대상으로 실험조사 하였다. 연구결과 텃밭가꾸기 체험활동이 유아의 탐구능력과 식생활 태도 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이같은 결과는 유아들의 텃밭가꾸기 체험활동이 유아의 탐구능력과 식생활 태도 개선에 유용한 활동임을 입증해준 것이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 그동안 유아들의 식생활 태도 개선을 가정의 책임으로 간주하는 인식과 왜곡된 식습관 및 태도개선에 텃밭가꾸기와 같은 자연주제를 활용한 체험활동과 관찰참여의 탐구학습을 적극 권장할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 이는 유아들의 탐구학습을 통해 높은 교육효과를 기대할 수 있다는 측면에서 학제적 교육적 측면에서의 유용성을 시사한 것으로 볼 수 있다.

초등 저학년 학생들에게 과학 경험은 충분할까? - 초등 저학년 학생의 과학에 대한 인식과 과학 경험에 대한 사례 연구 - (Is Science Experience Enough for Early Elementary Students? - A Case Study on the Perception of Science and Science Experience of Early Elementary Students -)

  • In Korea, the lower elementary grades are applying a topic-oriented integrated curriculum. It causes a lack of science content and inquiry experience for young children. The purpose of this study is to understand the scientific experiences and perceptions of the lower elementary graders and to inquire about the meaning of those experiences in their science learning. Four students (male 2, female 2), their parents, and their first-year homeroom teachers participated in the study. The data collection was mainly conducted through in-depth interview of them. Results showed that the 'experiments' were the student's the main perception of science, and the epistemic emotion that students mainly feel about science was 'curiousness'. Since most experiences were dependent on non-formal educational experience, the parents were an important factor to determine their experiences about science. Various factors, such as students' scientific experiences, their epistemic emotions, and the parents, interacted to form children's perception of science. The positive perception of science affected the level of motivation and expectation for science learning as the third grade. It is suggested that improvement of curriculum and textbooks should emphasize scientific exploration for the lower graders of elementary school, which provides them meaningful scientific experience in school.

CONSTRUCTION EDUCATIONAL GAME FOR K-12

  • The future competitiveness of construction industry is dependent on K-12 students. However, unfavorable images of construction industry have negative influence on K-12 students' decision-making of their career. This negative image makes them not want to find out what actually happens in construction industry. Consequently, it is important to give K-12 students the opportunity to know what construction employees actually do in their job. Studies show that K-12 students who encounter the job early-on are more likely to choose it as their career. In this context, this paper proposes construction educational game in which it can serve as a medium for capturing K-12 students' interest in Construction Management (CM). Based on the literature reviews, challenges of construction educational game for K-12 students which are edutainment, hands-on experience and social interaction, are derived. To address these issues, conceptual model and scenario are designed. Based on designed scenario, prototype of Simulation based Construction Game in Virtual World (SCGVW) is developed in Second Life (SL) and applicability test to K-12 students are implemented. This paper concludes with a discussion of the lessons learned and the future development steps of the construction educational game for K-12 students.

지방자치단체의 건강증진사업 활성화 방안 -교육적 접근을 중심으로- (Facilitating Health Promotion Programs at the Local Level: An Educational Approach)

  • This paper will discuss about how we can foster educational support mechanisms to facilitate health promotion programs at the local level. Health promotion in Korea is in the early developmental stage; it has only been since the Health Promotion Act was legislated in 1995, the health promotion programs have been planned and implemented. In the context of the recent decentralization process, local health departments have a major responsibility for developing and implementing health promotion programs at the local level. The short history of health promotion in Korea has meant that local public health departments have limited experience and organizational capacity for health promotion planning & practice. The results of one survey for investigating the progress of health promotion at the local level are instructive. The survey demonstrated that the public health workers recognized that the lack of personnels, insufficient budget, the lack of policy & the organizational support, the lack of skill & knowledge to be effective health promotors, the lack of guidance for health promotion practice were major barriers to implementing health promotion programs at the local level. The object of this paper is to suggest some ways of overcoming barriers to implementing health promotion programs at the local level This paper emphasizes on the importance of educational supports as well as environmental supports - legislative, policy, organizational, economical - in building the organizational capacity and infrastructure of local health department for health promotion. It suggests some ways of providing educational supports to the public health workers at the local level. and supports the positions that educational opportunities for training in health promotion can be better provided to the public health workers at the provincial level rather than at the national level. It argues that the educational & training programs should be developed and based on the educational need assessment; that the application of the main educational principles & theoretical models for health promotion be used to develop educational programs for the public health workers; and that professional health organizations should make plans to provide more educational programs at their annual conferences or at other convenient times. These kinds of educational supports facilitate the ability of public health workers to improve their capacity for health promotion practice at the local level and help to alleviate some of the pressure on state resources.

유아교육기관에서의 뮤지컬 관람 실태와 활성화 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the strengthening of Watching the Children's Musicals in the early childhood Education Institutions)

  • 본 연구는 유아교육기관에서의 뮤지컬 관람에 대한 현장의 실태를 알아보고, 문제점 및 활성화 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 선정하였다. 첫째, 유아교육기관의 뮤지컬 관람이 어떻게 실시되어지고 있는가 둘째, 유아교육기관의 뮤지컬 관람과 연계한 교육활동은 어떻게 이루어지고 있는가 셋째, 뮤지컬의 관람의 문제점과 개선방안은 어떠한가 이다. 이를 알아보기 위해 유치원 어린이집 교사 159명을 대상으로 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교육기관 대부분의 유아들은 뮤지컬 관람을 매우 흥미로워하며 새롭고 다양한 경험의 제공과 새로운 문화를 접할 수 있다고 하였다. 둘째, 뮤지컬 관람 시 사전교육 활동으로는 홍보지, 미디어 홍보영상 등을 활용한다고 답하였으며, 사후활동으로는 뮤지컬관람의 내용과 관련하여 그리기미술활동, 이야기 꾸미기활동, 동극활동으로 전개했을 때 교육적으로 효과적 이였다고 하였다. 셋째, 뮤지컬관람을 실시할 때 문제점으로는 단체유아들의 이동에 있어 통제의 어려움이 많다고 답하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 뮤지컬관람의 교육적 효과의 중요성을 강조하고 다양한 교육접근 방법의 뮤지컬관람을 경험할 수 있는 기회의 확대를 제안하였다.

유치원 교육과정 기반 영양·식생활 교육 내용 체계화: 질적 기초 연구 (Systematization of food and nutrition education content based on national kindergarten curriculum: a qualitative formative study)

  • Objectives: This study is intended to develop a curriculum for kindergarten food and nutrition education aimed at preschool children, reflecting government policy and meeting the demands of preschool settings. Methods: Existing educational materials were analyzed, and key elements of the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum ("Nuri Curriculum") and Guidelines for Nutrition and Food Education in Kindergartens, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools ("Guidelines") were examined as foundational information for developing the curriculum for food and nutrition education. Results: Basing ourselves on the five domains of the Nuri Curriculum, "Physical Activity and Health," "Communication," "Social Relationships," "Art Experience," and "Natural Science Inquiry," we integrated three areas from the Guidelines, namely "Dietary Habits and Health," "Dietary Habits and Safety," and "Dietary Habits and Culture," to structure the curriculum for kindergarten food and nutrition education. Three specific domains, "Nutrition and Health," "Food and Culture," and "Safe Dietary Practices," were tailored for preschool children, each comprising core concepts, content elements, and educational materials. In the "Nutrition and Health" domain, core concepts such as "nutrition" were addressed through content elements such as "balanced eating" and "vegetables and fruit," while "health" included elements such as "eating regularly" and "nutrients for disease prevention," each with two educational content components. The "Food and Culture" domain focused on "food" with content on "local foods (vegetable-garden experience)" and "food culture" with content on "our dining table (rice and side dishes)," "our agricultural products," "global cuisine (multiculture)," and "considerate dietary practices," each with four educational content components. The "Safe Dietary Practices" domain included core concepts such as "hygiene" with content on "hand-washing habits" and "food poisoning management," and "safety" with content on "food labeling." Conclusions: The systematized curriculum for kindergarten food and nutrition education aligns with the Nuri Curriculum and is interconnected with the Guidelines. This curriculum can be used as foundational material for developing educational resources tailored to the characteristics of preschoolers, contributing to effective implementation in early childhood education.

유아교사들의 직무실태와 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Relationship Between Job Status and Job Satisfactions on Early Childhood Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 유아 교사들의 직무실태 및 직무만족도를 심층 조사한 것이다. 연구의 대상은 충청남도 소재의 유아교육 전문 기관에 근무하는 보조교사를 포함한 교사들을 대상으로 진행하였다. 유아교육 기관은 국공립 어린이집, 사립어린이집, 국공립유치원 및 사립유치원에 근무하는 교사 255명 대상으로 진행하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위하여 회수된 설문지를 대상으로 SPSS 통계패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에 적용된 분석은 t-test, χ2-검증, ANOVA 분석을 수행하였고 사후분석으로 Scheffé 분석을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 결과의 도출을 위하여 직무실태는 교육기관의 유형, 연령, 교육정도, 교육경력 등을 조사하였다. 교육기관의 만족도는 국공립 유치원이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 연령은 50대 이상에서 교육수준은 대학원 졸업에서 높은 수준을 나타냈다. 또한, 유아교사들의 직무 만족도가 동료교사와의 관계, 원장과의 관계, 자아정체감 및 교사환경에 대해 유의하게 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 유아교육 교사들의 현재 직무실태와 만족도를 이해함으로서 그들의 직무 수행 능력을 높이고 업무에 대한 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 마련하는데 중요한 자료로 활용이 가능하다.
