A diagnosis system and ultrasonic vibration energy in plant to quality control

  • In this paper, the mechanical characteristics of ultrasonic cold forged technology (UCFT) used for the trimming knife and the effects of ultrasonic vibration energy (UVE) into the trimming process on the state of the strip cutting face were studied. And a diagnosis system to quality control for trimming knife and strip cutting face was developed and installed in plant. By the plant application of UCFT, service life of knife was more increased over 100% than that of conventional knife. And using the developed diagnosis system, the knife breakage and saw ear have been perfectly detected and quality control of trimming face is obtained effectively.

  • The objective criterion is necessary to decide the signal for vehicle audio. In this time, the signals have decided by golden ear or some simple parameters. In this paper, we propose the system for sound quality assessment in the vehicle audio signals. The vehicle audio signals were recorded in many vehicles by same condition. From these signals, objective and subjective parameters were extracted and using these signals listening test was done. The function was estimated between three results by simple neural network system. The score of arbitrary signal can be estimated using the function made by three results. In this way, Sound signal quality is assessed objectively.

수용성 금은화 추출물이 Trimellitic Anhydride 유도 마우스 접촉성 과민반응에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aqueous Extract from Lonicera Japonica Flower on Trimellitic Anhydride-induced Contact Hypersensitivity in BALB/c Mice)

  • Objectives : Trimellitic anhydride (TMA), a sensitizer that induces occupational asthma and atopic dermatitis, is widely used industrially to make epoxy and alkyd resins, plasticizers, high temperature polymer, and surfactants. The aim of this study was to investigative the effects of aqueous extracts of Lonicera japonica Flower(LJFAE) on TMA-induced contact hypersensitivity (CHS) in Balb/c mice. Methods : The dried flowers of L. japonica were extracted with distilled water at $100^{\circ}C$ for 7 h. The extract was freeze-dried following filteration through 0.45 ${\mu}m$ filter. Mice were orally administrated with or without LJFE of a different doses(25-100 mg/kg) for 28 days. In the challenge period, mice were externally applied at difference doses of LJFAE one time per day 30 min before TMA treatment. We examined the effects of LJFAE on the the serum levels of IgE and prostagladin E2 (PGE2), the Thl/Th2 cytokine production of spleen cells, ear swelling responses, and the leukocyte infiltration induced by TMA. Results : The orally and externally administration of LJFAE dose-dependently reduced the serum levels of IgE and PGE2 production as well as ear swelling responses and leukocyte infiltration in TMA-induced Balb/c mice. Furthermore, the levels of Thl (TNF-${\alpha}$, IFN-${\gammer}$, IL-2)/Th2 (IL-4, IL-5, IL-13) cytokine production from spleen cells stimulated with anti-CD3 and CD28 mAbs was markedly suppressed by the orally and externally treatment with LJFAE in a concentration dependent manner. Conclusions : These results suggest that LJFAE suppresses the inflammatory mediators and regulates the Thl/Th2 cytokines. Therefore, these properties may contribute to the strong anti-CHS response effect of LJFAE.

제초제 처리방법이 메꽃방제 및 옥수수의 생산성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Herbicide Application Method on Calysteria japonica Control and Corn Yield)

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate effects of herbicide application method on Calysteria jcqoonica control and corn yield at the forage experimental field, grassland and forage crops division, National Livestock Research Institute, RDA, Suwon from 1996 to 1997. The experiment was arranged in a randomized block design with three replication. The herbicide application consisted of control, 2~3 leaf stage(Dicamba), 5~6 leaf stage(Dicamba) and soil treatment (Pendimethalin). The hybrid of corn used in this experiment was P 3352. The results obtained are summarized as follow; 1. The plant height was the lowest at control and the highest at Dicamba treatment in 5~6 leaf stage, but no significant difference was found among herbicide application method at ear height. Tasseling and silking date were delayed 2~3 day at control. The length and weight of ear were highest at Dicamba treatment in 2~3 leaf stage. 2. The herbicide injury of corn was very slightly after 10-20 day, but corn was recovered soon. The weed control value was 94.2~67.5% at herbicide application plot. 3. The fresh and dry matter yield of Dicamba treatment in 2-3 leaf stage was highest as 42,878 and 16,033kg/ha, respectively. The application of Dicamba increased the DM yield of corn by 13~30%. 4. Herbicide application time had little effect on the ADF, NDF and CP contents, but the forage quality of ear was higher than that of stover. The result of this experiment indicate that the application of Dicamba in 2~6 leaf stage of corn will remove almost all of Calysreria jqonica and increase DM yield of com.

다양한 자외선(UVB) 처리조건에 의한 목이버섯의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Ear Mushroom by Various UVB (Ultraviolet B) Treatment Conditions)

  • To examine the possibility of ear mushroom (EM) as a source of natural vitamin D, the UVB (ultraviolet B) was treated according to sample drying status, drying methods before UVB treatment and harvest time. And then, vitamin D2 and ergosterol contents were investigated. According to the sample drying status, the vitamin D2 contents of fresh and freeze-dried EM (whole) increased to 4,634.4~4,780.9 ㎍/100 g D.W. (dry weight) under UVB dose 52.5~70.0 kJ/㎡ and above 18,693.1 ㎍/100 g D.W. under above 105 kJ/㎡, respectively. By drying methods before UVB treatment, vitamin D2 contents of EM powder (below 500 ㎛) that dried in the vinyl house and freeze-dryer increased to 4,886.2~5,132.9 ㎍/100 g D.W. under above 105 kJ/㎡ and 17,103.7 ㎍/100 g D.W. under 70 kJ/㎡, respectively. Ergosterol content decreased with increasing UVB dose in all experiments. According to the harvest time, vitamin D2 content under UVB dose 210 kJ/㎡ showed marked difference and in order of June, July, August, October and April. As for the results, the optimum harvest time, drying method before UVB treatment, sample size, UVB dose for the EM contained high vitamin D2 content were June, freeze-drying, whole, and 105 kJ/㎡, respectively.

Effect of Different Lighting Sources on Behavior and Growth of Weanling Pigs

  • These studies aimed to determine how lighting might be used to improve feed intake and reduce aggressive behavior in newly weaned pigs. To examine whether this objective could be achieved an experiment was conducted to compare performance, behavior and body condition of weaners over 17-45 days, provided similar lighting quality (i.e. color temperature, color rendering index and lighting distribution) after weaning that piglets experienced prior to weaning. Triphosphor (TP) lighting to simulate daylight was provided during the day while at night, Pascal red (PR) lighting was provided to simulate the night-light piglets previously had received from infrared heating lamps. This treatment was compared to weaners provided conventional cool-white fluorescent light during the day only. Weaners on treatment lighting from 17-45 days of age showed no improvement in body weight or feed conversion at 24, 31, 38 and 45 days compared to the controls. There was, however, a significant improvement (p<0.05) in feed intake in the first week of weaning for weaners provided TP/PR lighting. Over the first 3 days of weaning, pigs on TP/PR lighting showed an increase (p<0.05) in the incidence of ear chewing but reduced (p<0.05) levels of nosing the abdomen of other pigs and reduced (p<0.05) occurrences of being stood on by other pigs. Females exhibited more (p<0.05) mounting and nosing behaviors and rubbing the heads of other pigs than males. On the other hand, males engaged in more (p<0.05) fighting, nipping, ear chewing and standing on other pigs compared to females. Pigs provided PR lighting on the first night of weaning engaged in higher (p<0.05) incidences of nosing and tail sucking behaviors, more (p<0.05) head thrusting, fighting and ear chewing compared to control pigs. The body condition of weaners provided the TP/PR lighting treatment was significantly poorer (p<0.05) compared to weaners on control lighting. In conclusion there was no improvement in production performance of weaners provided new technology lighting apart from the improvement in feed intake in the first week weaners were exposed to the TP/PR lighting.

부모의 사회경제적 수준 (가구 월수입, 부모 교육수준)과 초등학교 6학년 학생의 과체중 및 식습관, 식사 질과의 관계 (Association Between Parental Socioeconomic Level, Overweight, and Eating Habits with Diet Quality in Korean Sixth Grade School Children)

  • 본 연구는 부모의 사회경제적 수준과 초등학교 6학년 자녀의 과체중 위험도, 식습관, 식사 질과의 관계에 대하여 알아보고자 하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 어머니 교육수준이 낮은 여학생 집단이 비교 집단에 비해 과체중의 위험도가 1.91배 높았다. 하지만 남학생의 경우에는 과체중 위험도와 사회경제수준 간에 유의성이 없었다. 2) 남녀 모두 수입 및 부모의 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 과일류 섭취량이 유의적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 여학생의 경우 이와 함께 가구 월수입 및 부모의 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 어패류의 섭취량도 유의적으로 낮았다. 3) 1일 평균 영양소 섭취량을 비교한 결과 여학생의 경우 가구 월수입 및 부모의 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 총 섭취량과 식물성 식품의 섭취가 유의적으로 낮았으며, 이와 함께 탄수화물, 비타민 C, 칼륨, 식이 섬유의 섭취도 유의적으로 낮게 나타났다. 4) 여학생의 경우 아버지의 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 높은 집단 보다 탄수화물을 통하여 섭취하는 에너지의 비율은 낮았던 반면, 지방의 비율은 유의적으로 높았다. 하지만 남학생의 경우 가구 월수입 및 부모의 교육수준에 따른 열량 및 영양소 섭취량에서 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 5) 가구 월수입 및 부모의 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 EAR 미만으로 영양소를 섭취하는 대상자 비율이 높았다. 남학생은 월수입이 낮은 집단에서 나이아신, 철분 섭취가 EAR 보다 부족한 학생비율이 높았으며, 부모의 교육수준에 따라서는 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 여학생은 사회경제적 수준이 낮은 집단에서 인의 섭취가 EAR 미만인 대상자가 비율이 유의적으로 높았고, 이와 함께 부모 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 나이아신과 비타민 B6의 섭취량이 EAR 보다 부족한 비율이 높았다. 6) 여학생의 경우 가구 월수입에 따른 비교에서 가구 월수입이 낮은 집단에서 라면의 섭취 빈도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 부모의 교육수준에 따른 비교에서는 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 남녀 모두 아침 식사 결식 횟수가 높고, 라면의 섭취 빈도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 7) 여학생의 경우 가구 월수입 및 부모의 교육수준이 낮은 집단에서 식품섭취 다양성과 균형성이 모두 비교 집단에 비하여 낮게 나타났다. 하지만 남학생의 경우 가구 월수입 및 부모의 교육수준에 따른 유의적인 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 본 연구를 통하여 부모의 사회경제적 수준은 여학생의 식습관과 식사의 질에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 낮은 사회경제적 수준은 자녀의 바람직하지 않은 식습관과 낮은 식사의 질과 관련되어 있었으며, 이는 영양소 섭취량에도 영향을 미치고 있었다. 또한 어머니 교육수준은 여학생의 과체중 위험도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 사회경제적 수준이 낮은 집단에 대한 건강한 식습관과 체중 관리를 위한 교육 및 영양 정책이 필요하다.

파종시기 및 품종이 사일리지용 옥수수의 수량과 사료가치에 미치는 영향 II. 경엽, 암이삭 및 전식물체의 섬유소 및 소화율 (Effect of Planting Date and Hybrid on Forage Yield and Quality of Corn for Silage. II. Fiber component and digestibility of ear, stover and whole plant)

  • 일반적으로 건물수량과 암이삭비율을 사일리지용 옥수수(Zea mays L.)의 생산성 비교에서 중요한 요인으로 생각하고 있다. 그러나 사일리지용 옥수수의 품종 비교에는 사초생산성 뿐만아니라 경엽의 품질도 중요하다. 그래서 본 시험은 정부장려 8품종을 한달 간격으로 파종하였을 때 사일리지용 옥수수의 부위별 사료가치를 비교하기 위하여 수행하였다. ADF, NDF, ADL, hemicellulose 및 cellulose 함량은 경엽, 암이삭 및 전식물체 모두에서 적기파종시가 만기파종시보다 낮았다(P<0.01). 공시 품종간에는 경엽과 전식물체에서 섬유소 함량의 차이가 있었다(P<0.01). 파종기간 TDN 및 $NE_1$는 경엽 및 전식물체에서 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 공시품종간 TDN 및 $NE_1$ 는 경엽, 암이삭 및 전 식물체 모두에서 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 전 식물체에서는 공시품종중 'G4624', 'P3352' 및 'P3394'의 TDN 및 $NE_1$가 다른 품종보다 높았다(P<0.05). In vitro 건물 소화율은 적기파종이 만기파종보다 높았으며(P<0.05), 또한 공시품종간에도 유의적인 차이가 있었다. ln vitro 건물소화율과 NDF, ADF, hemicellulose 및 cellulose의 상관계수는 각각 $-0.82^{**}$, $-0.7^{**}$, $-0.63^{**}$$-0.69^{**}$이었다. 이상의 연구결과를 볼 때 사일리지용 옥수수의 사료가치를 높이기 위해서는 적기파종이 옥수수의 사료가치를 증가시킬 수 있었다. 그리고 품종간 비교에서는, 특히, 경엽과 전식물체의 사료가치가 차이가 있었다. 그러므로 사일리지용 옥수수의 품종 선발에는 경엽과 전식물체의 사료가치도 중요한 요인이라고 생각된다.

일개 중소 도시의 종합병원에서 검사자에 따른 신생아청각선별검사의 비교 (Comparison of Newborn Hearing Screening Tests Depending on the Examiners in a General Hospital in a City)

  • Objectives: To review the status of newborn hearing screening (NHS) and to investigate the effect of the examiners on NHS tests to help the quality control of NHS at a general hospital in a city. Methods: The charts of newborns from January 2015 to March 2016 and from August 2016 to October 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. We compared the results of tests performed by several examiners(group 1) with those performed by one audiologist (group 2) using the same automated auditory brainstem response test. Results: The screening rate and referral rate were not significantly different between group 1 and group 2. The confirmatory test rate was higher in the group 2, but it was not significant. In group 1, the number of tests performed 3 or more times in one ear at one time was significantly higher. The number of tests performed in only one ear at one time was higher in group 2. The screening rate within one month after birth was 64.21%, referral rate was 7.32%, confirmatory test rate within 3 months after birth was 21.74%, and the prevalence of hearing loss was 1.46%. Conclusions: There was no significant difference of results depending on the examiners. In order to make proper screening test, it is necessary to periodically educate the examiner and to instruct the examiner by the supervisor doctors.
