This study draws important factors in electronic Word-of-Mouth (eWOM) and examines how these influence the building of customer loyalty. eWOM is viewed as social communication between customers and sellers, and thus the communicative action theory is applied. With the theory, we identify reviewer and seller as influential players on customers, and derive important factors such as correctness and veracity of reviews from the reviewers' action, and information compactness and adequacy from the seller's action. We propose these constructs as antecedents of customer loyalty and further hypothesize their curvilinear impacts as follows: the marginal impacts of veracity and correctness will decrease as veracity and correctness increase, and the marginal impacts of compactness and adequacy will increase as compactness and adequacy increase. The result indicates that only the seller's action has a curvilinear impact, whereas the reviewer has proportional positive impact on customer loyalty. This study indentifies important factors in eWOM from a critical social theory perspective and validates them using the positivistic approach. For practitioners, it discusses the important factors in eWOM with the identification of the individuals who are responsible for these factors.

COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of people and has forced businesses to develop different ways of doing businesses. Several businesses have implemented social responsibility activities. With social distancing keeping many people at home, online and digital platforms have become one of the most important mechanisms for businesses undertakings and implementing those social responsibility initiatives and activities - digital social responsibility (DSR). The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) intentions and customer engagement with DSR in social media with attitude toward DSR as the antecedent during COVID-19 social distancing situation in Thailand. The study employs a quantitative research method where sampling method is followed by convenience sampling technique, and study data is collected through survey questionnaire with social media users who have experiences with firms' online social responsibility initiatives. Based the samples of 123 respondents, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) has been used for analysis. The results show that attitudes toward DSR in social media significantly influence electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) intentions and have a significant effect on customer engagement with DSR in social media. The mediation analysis also revealed that eWOM intention partially mediated the relation between attitudes toward DSR in social media and customer engagement.

This study aimed to examine the effect of ad attributes on engagement, the mediating effect of engagement on the relationship between ad attributes and advertising effectiveness (attitudes toward ads, continuous intention to search, and e-WOM intention), and the differences in advertising effectiveness at different levels (low vs. high) of curiosity toward fashion video ads in the online context. For this purpose, a total of 408 responses were collected from consumers who were aged 20-40 years and had viewed fashion video ads via PC/mobile channels in the preceding six months. The results showed that three advertising attributes, namely informativeness, entertainment, and personalization, were significant predictors of engagement. Additionally, engagement had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between entertainment and ad effectiveness. Moreover, both informativeness and entertainment had a significant direct effect on the behavioral intention to search and engage in e-WOM. At the high-curiosity level, engagement had a significant influence on ad attitudes and e-WOM intention. In contrast, at the low-curiosity level, entertainment had a significant influence on e-WOM intention and continuous intention to search. These findings are meaningful in that they extend the advertising attitude model to fashion video ads in the online context.
App market has continuously been growth since its launch. The market revenues will reach about 1,000 billion US dollars in 2019. App is a core service for smartphone. Currently, there are more than 1.5 million mobile apps in App platform calling out for attention. So, if you are looking at developing a successful app, you need to have a solid marketing and distribution strategy. Online word of mouth(eWOM) is one of the most effective, powerful App marketing method. eWOM affect potential consumers' decision making, and this effect can spread rapidly through online social network. Despite the increasing research on word of mouth, only few studies have focused on content analysis. Most of studies focused on the causes and acceptance of eWOM and eWOM performance measurement. This study aims to content analysis of mobile apps review In 2013, Google researchers announced Word2Vec. This method has overcome the weakness of previous studies. This is faster and more accurate than traditional methods. This study found out the relationship between mobile app reviews and checked for reactions by Word2vec.
In the era of brand economy, companies fulfill their social responsibilities to enhance consumers' brand trust, thereby enhancing brand loyalty. On the other hand, the current Covid-19 epidemic has accelerated the pace of digital transformation of enterprises and has also made consumers pay more attention to the online reputation of enterprises. Based on the Chinese consumer market, this paper studies the corporate social responsibility, Internet word-of-mouth, brand trust, and brand loyalty of electronic product companies. To verify the impact of corporate social responsibility on brand loyalty through Internet word-of-mouth and brand trust, this paper issued a questionnaire survey to Chinese consumers. A total of 469 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis, and SPSS21.0 was used to analyze the collected data. The results are summarized as follows: (1) CSR has a positive impact on brand trust. (2) CSR has a positive impact on brand loyalty. (3) Brand trust has a positive impact on brand loyalty. (4) Brand trust and e-WOM play an intermediary role in CSR and brand loyalty.
The purpose of this study is to test the motivations for e-Learning service usage of smart device users. To do this, empirical data were collected by conducting a field survey with 382 smart-device based e-learners, and structural equation model was used for the purpose of analyzing the data acquired by the survey. A structural equation model was designed and constructed by such factors like usefulness, enjoyment, word-of-mouse(WOM) effect, and social interaction on e-Learning usage intention. In addition, social interaction has an influence on WOM effect. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows; first, usefulness, enjoyment, and WOM have direct effects on e-Learning usage intention. Second, social interaction not only has direct influence on e-Learning usage intention but also has indirect influence carried by WOM effect. The findings have significant implications which the study inquires into the factors for e-Learning usage motivations of smart-device based e-learners.
Online communities are an important source of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). However, few studies have examined the use of such messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Saudi women as members of an online beauty forum. Previous work suggested a mediating effect of gender, with women being more likely to trust word-of-mouth and follow it up with a purchase. A conceptual model with a theoretical underpinning from existing contributions in literature provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' e-WOM adoption. A total of 310 threads and 2200 messages coded into 5725 units were content analyzed to demonstrate cases where e-WOM was adopted and indicate further continuance intention with members returning to the forum. A new category of 'community bonding' was created from the content analysis given the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages. Emotion expressed in messages, often expressed in religious terms, is as influential and important as the cognitive aspects of community bonding.
Online communities are an important source of electronic-word-of-mouth (eWOM), however few studies have examined these types of messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Kuwaiti women as members of an online beauty forum; previous work has suggested a mediating effect of gender with women being more likely to trust and follow-up word-of-mouth with a purchase. A conceptual model, based on existing theoretical contributions, provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' eWOM adoption. A sub-set of the analysis is presented: 218 threads (1820 messages, coded into 6702 units) illustrating cases where eWOM was adopted and thereby demonstrating continuance intention with members returning to the forum. Content analysis revealed the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages, coded into a new category of 'community bonding'. Findings show that emotion expressed in messages is as influential and important as cognitive aspects of argument quality.
With the growing trend of online global market, customers have further technological capabilities in searching for information and online shopping on the Internet. In addition, electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) is a significant factor that influences customer purchase intention. However, the perspective of online users on hotel websites is still in its infancy, especially in various cultural contexts. The current study examined a theoretical framework of hotel websites to understand how online users perceive the importance of hotel websites with regard to influencing purchase intention, within the content of Thai online users through an online questionnaire survey. Findings show that usability positively influences online Thai users' satisfaction. Moreover, eWOM has a significant positive influence on satisfaction, but eWOM has an indirect effect on the intention to purchase. Practical implications are further discussed.
This study identified online information characteristics and investigated the effects of information characteristics on word of mouth performance in online environment. And the comsumer knowledge was found to be a moderator of the relationship between information characteristics and WOM performance in online environment. The implication of this work to both researchers and practitioners were discussed.
