All of smart phone users not always make a good use of mobile shopping. The main cause is that in case of non-user of mobile shopping, potential apprehension to psychological and security weakness affects building up resistance on mobile shopping. In this paper, we designed models of innovation resistance heavily based on literature reviews and previous studies, and tried to find how perceived risk affects consumer's purchase intention in mobile shopping process. In conclusion, it shows that security, one of psychological factors, affects perceived risk in all aspects, while negative influence of society and cognitive dissonance just affect social risk and delivery risk, and uncertainty also just affects performance risk. Besides, it shows that all of variables made up perceived risk affects resistance of purchase. Especially social risk turns out to be a most influential factor to purchase behavior through smart phone.
Some consumers prefer online and others prefer offline. What makes them prefer online or offline? There has been a lack of theoretical development to adequately explain consumers' channel switching behavior between traditional physical stores and new virtual stores. Through consumers' purchase decision processes, this study examined the reasons why consumers changed channels depending on purchase process stages. Consumer's purchase decision process could be divided into three stages: pre-purchase stage, purchase stage, and post-purchase stage. We used the intention of channel selection as a surrogate dependent variable of channel selection. And some constructs, that is, channel function, channel benefits, customer relationship benefits, and perceived behavioral control, were selected as independent variables. In buying look-and-feel products, it was identified that consumers preferred virtual stores to physical stores at pre-purchase stage. To put it concretely, all constructs except channel benefits were more influenced to consumers at virtual stores. This result implied that information searching function, which is a main function at pre-purchase stage, was better supported by virtual stores than physical stores. In purchase stage, consumers preferred physical stores to virtual stores. Specially, all constructs influenced much more to consumers at physical stores. This result implied that although escrow service and trusted third parties were introduced, consumers felt that financial risk, performance risk, social risk, etc. still remained highly online. Finally, consumers did not prefer any channel at post-purchase stage. But three independent variables, i.e. channel function, channel benefits, and customer relationship benefits, were significantly preferred at physical stores rather than virtual stores at post-purchase stage. So we concluded that physical stores were a little more preferred to virtual stores at post-purchase stage. Through this study, it was identified that most consumers might switch channels according to purchase process stages. So, first of all, sales representatives should decide that what benefits should be given them through virtual stores at the pre-purchase stage and through physical stores at the purchase and post-purchase stages, and then devise collaborative channel strategies.
Compulsive hoarding becomes a problem when the spaces hoarded items are stored in become unusable due to clutter, health, or safety issues. Our research purpose was to document relationships between two non-normative consumer behaviors (compulsive hoarding, compulsive buying tendency) and two shopping-related variables: hedonic shopping motives and emotional attachment to possessions with everyday consumers. As hedonic shopping motives have been related to compulsive buying, we predicted these motives (e.g., adventure, gratification, role, value, social, and idea) are related to compulsive buying. We also examined the relationship between compulsive buying and compulsive hoarding tendency and whether emotional attachment to possessions moderated this relationship. Participants were 280 undergraduate and graduate students attending a Midwestern university in the U.S. Regression analysis revealed the enhancing emotion motive (a combined motive of adventure and gratification) positively influenced compulsive buying whereas the value motive negatively influenced compulsive buying. All other hedonic shopping motives were non-significant. Participants who tended to buy compulsively were likely to hoard compulsively. This relationship, however, was moderated by participants' emotional attachment to possessions. Participants with high emotional attachment to possessions showed a higher level of hoarding behavior than those with low emotional attachment to possessions. However, the increase in hoarding tendency among participants with low emotional attachment to possessions was larger between those who were low in compulsive buying and those who were high in compulsive buying than the increase between these two groups among participants with high emotional attachment to possessions.
This paper suggested a theoretical model, in which a security-based(secured loan, non-secured loan) credit agreement determines the form of corporate cost function through a loaning company's cost minimization in the light of a company which behaves monopolistically in product markets. Also, this paper analyzed the influence of a corporate credit agreement on market equilibrium, and economic welfare in product markets. As a result, it was found that in case a company, whose equity capital is small, implements borrowing based on a secured loan from a financial institution, the company comes to face borrowing restraints, in which the company has no choice but to get a loan within the scope of securities. When a company offers its capital goods, i.e. a production factor, as a security, there occurs a distortion to the production factor input ratio. Meanwhile, when a company comes to get a loan based on an unsecured loan, for which the interest rate is high, marginal cost rises; accordingly, the company comes to choose a credit agreement aiming at maximizing its profits. However, a company's choice of a credit agreement is not quite desirable from a consumer's viewpoint, and from the whole economic point of view; overall, such a choice is likely to aggravate economic welfare.
'Live commerce', a brand new format of online shopping, is actively promoted in China recently. This research focused on 'Taobao-live', China's largest live commerce platform to investigate the relationships among para-social interaction, source characteristics (e.g., trustworthiness, attractiveness, and expertise), perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and shopping intention based on Technology Acceptance Model. A total of 536 Taobao live users were recruited through the Chinese research platform. The results showed that para-social interactivity positively affected perceived ease of use and usefulness, whereas the source characteristics had no significant effect on consumers' perceptions. Furthermore, higher perceived ease of use generated higher perceived usefulness, and both perceived ease of use and usefulness positively influenced consumers' intention to shop through Taobao live. This research can provide theoretical background for understanding the potential of live commerce platforms and help brands come up with effective online shopping strategies using live commerce platforms.

Voice shopping is gaining attention following the trend of non-contact E-commerce by enabling people to shop via voice command. Therefore, in this study, voice shopping service heuristics using a display-mounted voice interface were developed in preparation for the future where voice shopping becomes a part of daily life in the world. First, as a theoretical approach, a literature survey of 50 papers on the design principles of 'visual interface,' 'voice interface,' and 'shopping service' was conducted to produce a total of 29 draft design principles. Second, as an empirical approach, a focus group interview was conducted on consumer decision-making processes in shopping experiences and information-seeking behavior within the context of shopping to draft the heuristics. This was to supplement the user experience, a weak part of the literature research. Finally, a Delphi survey asked 20 experts in UX, service planning, artificial intelligence development, and shopping to evaluate the heuristics draft developed through the above two stages. After three rounds of Delphi surveys, the final heuristics were proposed.

Visitors feel pleasure and delight with seeing and participation at the same time at theme park. Owing to participation characteristics of theme park, visitors are not able to satisfy their desire only with simple seeing, and influenced by the sense caused by participation and seeing. The study herein presumed that global attachment regarded as characteristic features determining individual relationship characteristics influences behavior and perception of visitors after visiting theme park, and speculated the process which attachment type of visitors influences to satisfaction and attitude. Moreover, in a point of view of 3 factors which form consumer attitude, recognition, feeling, behavioral desire, factors which enhances satisfaction and behavioral desire of visitors are organized and speculated. As a result of study herein, influence of stable attachment was not significant, while personal service and positive feeling shows importance.
Purpose - In recent years, many companies include franchises have acquire customers by making an online stores and they are carrying out permission marketing activities with e-mail and SMS. Permission marketing requires voluntary customer approval for receiving commercial messages such as cross-selling and upselling. Therefore, it is necessary for the business to induce the customer's acceptance. The purpose of this study is to examine which type of different messages can affect higher in consumer persuasion. Thus, we investigated the impact of descriptive norm message on intention of reception in an online store context, and its interaction with chronic regulatory focus. Research design, data, and methodology - This study hypothesized that the descriptive norm message would affect positive influences to consumers' intension of reception. Specially, this study inquired into whether the interaction effect between descriptive norm and regulatory focus. To verify the hypothesis, we conducted 2 × 2 between-subject factorial design with message type (general message and descriptive norm message) and regulatory focus(promotion focus and prevention focus) as independent variables. Participants of the experiment were assigned to one of 2 kind experimental situations randomly according to characteristics of message type. A total of 131 participants (descriptive norm message: 65, general message: 66) responded for this study. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and two-way ANOVA. Result - The results of the study are as follows. First, we found main effects of the descriptive norm message. The intention of reception were significantly higher in the descriptive norm message rather than general message as in previous researches. Second, interaction effect between the descriptive norm message and regulatory focus was significant. The prevention focus (vs. promotion focus) were hight in a positive behavior intention when the descriptive norm message was given. Conclusions - This study verifies the main effect and interaction effect of descriptive norm message and regulatory focus on the consumers' intention of reception in permission marketing, and persuasive message in the online store context. The results of this study will provide various advantages to companies that want to establish long lasting relationship with customers by carrying out permission marketing in the future.
Purpose - Consumers perceive various risks while using food service franchise stores. Food service franchise stores offer consumers not just menus, but services, physical environment, and prices, which can be perceived as risk to consumers. This means that consumer behavior in foos service franchise stores needs to be studied based on perceived risk theory. Perceived risk consists of performance risk, financial risk, social risk, psychological risk, and time risk. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of perceived risk on satisfaction and trust, and in turn affect loyalty. The results of this study will provide guidelines for marketers to develop strategies to reduce the perceived risk of consumers. Research design, data, methodology - In order to achieve research purposes, the authors developed several hypotheses. Data were through online survey through an online survey firm. A questionnaire survey was distributed to customers who have visited the restaurant in the past three months. The survey was conducted from March 5, 2017 to October 14, 2017. A total of 1,500 people were e-mailed and 260 were returned. A total of 245 items were used in the analysis except 15 of the questionnaire. Data was analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results - The findings of this study are as follows: First, performance risk, economic risk, and psychological risk had negative effects on satisfaction. Social and time risks did not affect on satisfaction. Performance risk and time risk had negative impact on trust. Second, economic, social, and psychological risks did not affect trust, but satisfaction had significant positive effect on trust and loyalty. Third, satisfaction had positive effect on loyalty. Conclusions - The implications of this study are as follows. First, food service franchise marketers should increase their customer loyalty by establishing a risk reduction strategy. Second, there are various risks to customers visiting the store. Therefore, marketers need to analyze the perceived risks of customers. Third, it is also necessary to eliminate the perceived risks of customers. In addition, a restaurant franchise company needs to find a reasonable way to reduce the material cost and present a reasonable menu price.
Feng Shui practice is very popular in East Asia and has been rapidly adopted by the population of the West. As Feng Shui involves knowledge of object placement, it opens opportunities to market Feng Shui knowledge and products. This paper presents an analysis of a successful Feng Shui enterprise, World of Feng Shui (WOFS), that has been established by a well-known Feng Shui expert Lillian Too and her daughter Jennifer Too. The enterprise's marketing strategies and tactics are tied to the theoretical concept of social influence, widely researched in the consumer behavior literature. The three types of social influence (informational, utilitarian, and value-expressive) are examined in relation to WOFS' marketing strategies using secondary data material. The main results indicate that the strategies of WOFS enterprise address all three types of social influence. The articles generated on-and off-line can be mostly associated with the informational influence. The off- line activities such as events, courses/workshops, and TV shows are also informational in nature. The Q & A sections/postings can be considered as representative of the utilitarian influence. They give experts (e.g., Lillian Too) the opportunity to provide individuals with problem-specific recommendations.
