The Determinants of E-mail Use and it's Effects on the Organizational Effectiveness of Hospital Administrative Workers (병원행정직의 전자메일 사용의 영향요인 및 조직효과성 관계 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the determinants of e-mail use and its effects on the organizational effectiveness of hospital administrative workers. Data were collected from 147 administrative workers at 2 university hospitals in Seoul using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The major findings of the study are as follows: 1. There are significant differences in the use of e-mail for business purpose in terms of the gender, age, status, and education level. Workers who are men, over 30s, high status, and highly educated were more likely to use the e-mail. As for the private use, there are significant differences only in terms of the age level. 2. The more job characteristics need to use e-mail, the more workers have computer skills, and the more favorable the organizational culture is to using the e-mail, the more frequently the workers use the e-mail for both business and private purposes. 3. Job characteristics and personal computer skills have significant positive effects on the use of e-mail for business purpose. However, for the private purpose, only personal computer skills have a significant effect on the use of e-mail. 4. The level of the e-mail use for the business purpose has a significant effect on the work productivity, communication, and job satisfaction, while the level of the e-mail use for the private purpose has a significant effect only on the communication and job satisfaction. The implications for hospital administrators and suggestions for further research are discussed.

  • Global Electronic Commerce (EC) is currently being pursued by most of the developed countries. Domestically, EC has just started and still has lots of problems to solve in terms of both technology and institutions. EC has a great potential to affect a country's competitive advantage. For EC to be adopted and diffused early, it is necessary to analyze the current status of EC and to establish the strategies to strengthen the competitive position. Therefore, the major objectives of the study are to review the current status of EC in Korea and to propose for both public and private sectors the strategies to strengthen the competitive advantage.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the application sphere of BPM(Business Process Management) to e-trade process using BPM technology and its service architecture in order to expand the usage of e-trade platform which is developing. After close reviewing the current status of trade process, the possibility of BPM application by e-trade process will be analyzed. The result of analysis is that BPM application to local L/C and purchasing confirmation process could be implemented because those processes are very suitable to apply standardized process and can minimize the risk and confusion of users. BPM application to remaining trade process have to be considered by mid-term and long-term project with the reflection of pilot project performance. Also this study suggests a business management model of e-trade process based on BPM technology which is the new IT technology and integrated interface in view of trade community.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of Quick Response adoption, and to recognize the implementation problems of QR system in the Korean fashion industry. We reviewed the theoretical background of QR system, analyzed the current status of QR adoption, and identified critical issues to implement the system in our fashion business environment. Previous literatures and information gained from communication service organizations were used for this study The major problems recognized are lack of inter-organizational information network, closed supply channels, non-standardization of QR implementation, and low level of information technology usage including KAN, POS, and EDI. Strong mutual partnership between streams for shared common goals and clear QR mind setting of top management with commitment to information sharing are considered needed for the successful adoption of QR system in domestic fashion industry.

  • The goals of this research are to look into the logistics systems and to have a thorough grasp on the status of legal systems such as taxation and customs clearance practices and, further, to draw up an interoperable scheme seamlessly linking those two on a national scale. In this research we looked into the business process and related information of border-crossing logistics systems between B2B marketplaces. We also investigated the status of taxation systems and customs clearance practices in order to associate e-marketplaces with one another. We proposed interoperable scheme for seamless linking between B2B e-marketplace based on marketplace repository model.

  • 기업간 전자상거래를 위한 국제표준인 ebXML 은 ebBPSS(ebXML Business Process Specification Schema)와 CPA(Collaboration Protocol Profile)에 기반하여 거래 당사자들이 협업 형태의 업무 처리 절차에 따라 문서 및 데이터를 주고 받을 수 있도록 해 준다. 거래 당사자들의 내부 업무처리 시스템에 연동되어 B2B 업무를 처리할 수 있도록 해주는 시스템을 BSI(Business Service Interface)라 하며, 이는 트랜잭션 관리, 업무 프로세스의 코레오그래피(Choreography), 문서 관리, 보안 관리 등 협업과 관련된 대부분의 역할을 수행하게 된다. 기업간 협업에 있어 가장 중요한 사항 중 하나는 어떤 상황에서도 양쪽의 협업상태 정보는 일관성을 유지해야 한다는 것이다. 이는 거래의 신뢰도를 확보하기 위한 필수사항이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 ebXML 프로토콜에 따라 거래행위시 협업상태 정보가 양측 거래파트너에서 각기 다르게 나타날 수 있는 상황을 살펴 보고 이에 따른 BSI 시스템의 대처방안에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

Analysis of Distribution Structure and Its Improvement Plan for e-Learning Business (이러닝산업 유통구조 분석 및 개선방안 연구)

  • The e-Learning is one of best ways to generate the substitution effect for classroom learning, and robust and rational distribution structure for e-Learning industry is the key issue for successful educational performance of e-Learning, however the recent e-Learning market has a distribution status quite different from rational structure. This paper focuses on issues of e-Learning distribution status and alternatives for policy making. In order to make this study successful, we discuss about concepts and scopes of e-Learning distribution and various types of distribution structure by business models. We conducted an interview survey for business individual experts for distribution modelling. Based on the result of the survey, this paper describes issues of distribution structure and suggests alternatives for policy making in the Korea e-Learning market.

A Study on Association between Type of E-commerce and Demographic variables

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to comprehensively understand the recent status of domestic e-commerce market and provide useful information for the revitalization of domestic on-line economy. This study looks over the association between type of e-commerce and demographic variables for each purchase ordering and sales order business. The demographics under consideration is administrative district, occupation and business organization type and type of e-commerce is B2B, B2C and B2G to deal with. Research design, data, and methodology - From January 2017 to December 2017, about 14000 samples are extracted from all businesses with experience in purchasing or selling products or services through e-commerce. The association between the two categorical variables considered by using two major statistical techniques such as chi-square test and correspondence analysis can be quantitatively and visually detected. Result - This study shows the association between the type of e-commerce with the administrative district and the occupation is completely different, but B2B and B2C are identical for organization type, with respect to both purchase and sales orders.
