부산지역 초등학생의 영양교육에 대한 학부모 인식 I - 인구사회학적 요인을 중심으로 - (Mothers' Perceptions on Nutrition Education for Elementary School Students in the Busan Area I - A Demographical Factor Approach -)

  • This study examined mothers' perceptions on nutrition education for elementary school students according to demographical factors. Questionnaires were distributed to the mothers of 511 elementary school students in the Busan area. According to the results, 50% of the respondents felt that the preschool years or the lower elementary grades were proper times to start nutrition education. Furthermore, they preferred school dietitians (55.4%), outside professional dietitians (16.3%), nurse teachers (13.8%), class room teachers (11.7%), and parents (2.8%) as nutrition educators. The mothers who were college and university graduates had significantly (p<0.001) higher scores regarding the necessity of nutrition education for student growth when compared to mothers who were high schools graduates. However, the high school graduates had significantly (p<0.001) higher scores than the college and university graduates with respect to nutrition education for correcting obesity. The order of importance for nutrition education curriculum content was as follows: eating habits, food safety, health and disease, maintaining ideal body weight, food waste and environment, basic food knowledge, and traditional foods. The college and university graduates, and those of 'A' group schools, had significantly (p<0.001) higher importance scores for proper eating habits. Mothers having experience with nutrition education comprised 43.9% of the subjects, and there was a significantly (p<0.05) higher percentage of employed mothers as compared to unemployed. Eighty-six percent of the respondents wanted to receive nutrition education. For more effective learning, they preferred in-person group education rather than correspondence education using e-mails or printed materials from schools.

병풀(Centella asiatica) 착즙액과 추출물의 Asiaticoside 분석법 검증 및 항산화 활성 (Validation of Asiaticoside as Marker Compound of Centella asiatica Juice and Extract, and Its Antioxidant Activity)

  • Centella asiatica (C. asiatica) has been widely used in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industry as a functional material. In a previous study, we have investigated not only pharmacological effects such as antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects, but also analyzed various functional ingredients. In this study, triterpenoids were analyzed using HPLC-DAD to determine marker compounds among functional ingredients. When triterpenoids were analyzed, asiaticoside from C. asiatica was determined as an optimal marker compound. Next, specificity, linearity, limited of detection (LOD), limited of quantification (LOQ), precision, accuracy, and range were evaluated using HPLC-DAD to determine asiaticoside contents in C. asiatica juice and extracts. The specificity was elucidated by chromatogram and retention time using an established analytical method. The coefficient of correlation obtained was 0.9996. LOD was 4.99 ㎍/mL and LOQ was 15.12 ㎍/mL. Intra- and inter-day precision of asiaticoside were determined to be 0.48~1.68% and 0.08~1.09%, respectively. Furthermore, the recovery rate of asiaticoside was 98.88% and the analytical range of Field-70E was determined to be 0.625~10 mg/mL. As a results of evaluating ABTS, DPPH, and FRAP antioxidative effect, Field-70E showed potent antioxidant activities. Results of this study could be used as basic data for quality standardization of C. astiatica juice and extracts.

정보통신윤리 의식 함양을 위한 블랜디드 문제중심학습 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Blended PBL Systems for Cultivating Consciousness of Information Communication Ethics)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 효과적인 정보통신윤리 교육을 통한 정보통신윤리 의식 함양에 있다. 블랜디드 PBL의 교수-학습 목표 달성을 위해서 온라인 학습과 면대면 수업이 체계적으로 혼합되었고, 온라인 학습을 위한 주요 모듈은 오픈소스 학습관리시스템인 무들(Moodle)에서 운영되었다. 온라인을 통한 PBL 단계(문제제시, 문제확인, 자료수집, 해결안 도출, 문제해결안 발표, 정리 및 평가)에 따른 블랜디드 활동에서 학습자가 스스로 문제를 해결해 가면서 학습계획을 세우고, 지식 데이터베이스 등을 활용하여 정보의 획득과 평가, 새로운 아이디어를 적용할 수 있는 e-PBL 시스템을 구현하였다. 블랜디드 PBL 시스템의 교육적인 효과를 검증하기 위해서 대학교 2학년 재학생 60명을 실험집단(30명), 통제집단(30명)으로 구성하였다. 실험 집단과 통제집단은 모두 6명을 1개 조로 하여 각각 5개 조를 구성하였다. 실험집단에는 블랜디드 PBL을 이용하여 수업을 실시한 후에 정보통신윤리 의식 평가를 실시하고, 통제집단은 면대면 PBL을 이용하여 수업을 실시하였다. 두 집단의 정보통신윤리 의식에 유의미한 차이가 있는지를 검증하기 위하여 SPSS 18.0을 활용한 t-Test를 실시하였다. 실험결과, 블랜디드 PBL을 적용하여 정보통신윤리를 학습한 실험 집단이 면대면 PBL을 적용하여 정보통신윤리를 학습한 통제집단보다 정보통신윤리 의식의 절제, 존중, 책임, 참여 지표에서 높은 향상을 보였다.

노년층의 말소리 지각 능력 및 관련 인지적 변인 (Speech perception difficulties and their associated cognitive functions in older adults)

  • The aims of the present study are two-fold: 1) to explore differences on speech perception between younger and older adults according to noise conditions; and 2) to investigate which cognitive domains are correlated with speech perception. Data were acquired from 15 younger adults and 15 older adults. Sentence recognition test was conducted in four noise conditions(i.e., in-quiet, +5 dB SNR, 0 dB SNR, -5 dB SNR). All participants completed auditory and cognitive assessment. Upon controlling for hearing thresholds, the older group revealed significantly poorer performance compared to the younger adults only under the high noise condition at -5 dB SNR. For older group, performance on Seoul Verbal Learning Test(immediate recall) was significantly correlated with speech perception performance, upon controlling for hearing thresholds. In older adults, working memory and verbal short-term memory are the best predictors of speech-in-noise perception. The current study suggests that consideration of cognitive function for older adults in speech perception assessment is necessary due to its adverse effect on speech perception under background noise.

  • 위성영상 기반의 정규식생지수(normalized difference vegetation index, NDVI)는 넓은 영역에서 주기적인 정보를 수집할 수 있어 산림 및 농업 모니터링에 주로 사용된다. 그러나 광학센서 기반 식생지수는 구름 등의 영향으로 일부 지역에서 결측을 가지기 때문에, 본 연구는 전천후 및 주야에 관계없이 관측 가능한 Sentinel-1의 합성 개구 레이더(synthetic aperture radar, SAR) 영상을 활용하여 Sentinel-2 NDVI 결측값을 복원하는 모델을 개발하였다. 이는 광학적으로 관측이 어려운 구름 조건이나 야간에도 NDVI를 추정할 수 있는 잠재력을 보여준다. Automated machine learning (AutoML)을 활용한 비선형 결측복원모델의 5폴드(fold) 교차검증 결과, 절대오차 7.214E-05, 상관계수 0.878의 NDVI 복원 성능을 보였다. 이를 통해 시공간 연속적인 NDVI 생산 방법론을 발전시켜, 전천후 식생 모니터링에 필요한 정보 생산에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

중년기 부모 이해 수업이 중학생의 부모-자녀 관계에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Middle-aged Parent Understanding Education for Middle School Students on Parent-Child Relationships)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 부모 이해 향상을 위해 교수·학습과정안을 개발하고 수업에 적용하여 부모 이해 수업이 중학생의 부모-자녀 관계에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 2021년 7월 5일부터 7월 15일까지 광주광역시에 있는 S 중학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 기술·가정 수업 시간에 주당 3시간씩 2주 동안 총 6차시에 걸쳐 부모 이해 수업을 시행하였다. 수업이 부모-자녀 관계에 미치는 영향은 중년 부모에 대한 이해, 부모와의 상호작용 정도, 부모와의 애정도 및 유대감으로 측정하였다. 수업의 영향을 분석하기 위해 본 연구에 동의한 184명의 학생을 대상으로 사전·사후 온라인 설문 조사를 진행하였다. 수집된 양적 자료는 SPSS Ver 22.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 기술 통계, 신뢰도 분석, 대응 표본 t-test를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 중년기 부모 이해 수업 이후 중년기 발달 특성에 대한 자녀들의 이해도가 증가하였고 청소년기 자녀와 부모 간 상호작용 정도도 증가하였다. 그리고 어머니에 대한 전반적인 애정도가 유의미하게 증가하였다. 또한 어머니, 아버지와의 전반적 유대감이 모두 유의미하게 향상되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 청소년기 자녀를 둔 가족의 긍정적인 부모-자녀 관계를 위해서는 기술·가정 교과의 가족 단원에 자녀가 부모를 이해할 수 있는 수업이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

장뇌삼 잎 추출물의 분획물이 Scopolamine으로 유도된 Mouse의 기억력 개선에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Korean Mountain Ginseng Leaves and Its Active Constituents on Scopolamine-induced Amnesia in Mouse)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to characterize the effect of the fraction of Korean mountain ginseng folium (FKG) on the learning and memory impairments induced by scopolamine. Methods: The memory ameliorating effect of FKG was investigated using a passive avoidance test, the Y-maze test, and the Morris water maze test in mice. Drug-induced amnesia was induced by treating animals with scopolamine(1mg/kg, i.p.). Results: FKG (2 or 4mg/kg, p.o.) administration significantly reversed scopolamine-induced cognitive impairments in mice by the passive avoidance test and the Y-maze test(P<0.05), and also improved escape latency in the Morris water maze test at 2 or 4mg/kg(P<0.05). Although FKG has little inhibitory activity for AChE (IC50 value; 1847 ${\mu}g/ml$) in an invitro study, phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(pERK) was increased by the administration of FKG inhippocampus on immunohistochemistry. Conclusions: These results suggest that FKG may be a useful cognitive impairment treatment, and its beneficial effects are mediated, in part, via activation of ERK pathway.

삽교호 유입량 예측을 위한 LSTM 모형의 적용성 평가 (Evaluation of LSTM Model for Inflow Prediction of Lake Sapgye)

  • 삽교호로 유입하는 곡교천 유역의 홍수시 유출량을 추정하기 위해서 Tensorflow를 활용하여 파이썬 기반의 LSTM 모형을 구축하였다. 층의 깊이가 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해, 은닉층의 깊이를 2, 4, 6층으로 증가시키면서, 선행시간 1시간부터 5시간까지 예측을 수행하였으며, 은닉층의 개수가 4개일 때가 가장 우수한 성능을 나타내었다. 학습에 사용하는 입력자료의 길이 즉, 시퀀스길이가 모형의 성능에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시퀀스길이를 3시간, 5시간, 7시간으로 증가시키면서 모형을 실행한 결과, 시퀀스길이가 3시간 일 때, 전 시간대에 걸쳐 예측 성능이 우수한 것으로 분석되었다. 모형 검증에서 극한 강우 3건에 대하여 예측을 수행한 결과 선행시간 1시간에 대하여 평균 NSE 0.96 이상의 높은 정확도를 나타내었으며, 선행시간 2시간 이상에 대하여 정확도는 점차적으로 낮아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로 시퀀스길이 3시간을 사용하여 선행시간 1시간에 대한 예측을 수행한다면 곡교천 강청 관측소의 홍수위를 높은 수준의 정확도로 예측할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Aloe(Aloe arborescens M$_{ILL}$) has been used as a home medicine for the past several thousand in the world, and has been studied on anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities, hypotension, atherosclerosis, myocardiac infartion, apoplexy, diabetes as a chronic digenerative disease, tumors, gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas' diseases, and genitourinary tract etc. SAMP8 as a learing and memory impairment animal model were fed basic and/or experimental diets with 1.0% freezing dried(FD)-aloe for 8 months. The passive avoidance tests such as acqusition trial and retention test were significantly higher in aloe group than in control group. Grading score of senescence resulted in a marked decreases in aloe group compared with control group. Acetylcholinesterase(AChE) activity was remarkably increased in aloe group compared with control group. Neurotransmitters such as dopamine(DA) and serotonin(5-HT) almost did not change by the feeding of aloe-added diet, but their metabolites such as homovanillic acid(HVA) and 5-hydroxy-indole acetic acid(5-HIAA) in aloe group were significantly increased compared with control group. Therefore, the ratios of HVA/DA and 5-HIAA/5-HT as a ratio of metabolite on neurotransmitter were significantly increased by the feeding of aloe-added diet. These results suggest that aloe vara may be activated acetylcholinesterase, the metabolite of neurotransmitter, and ratios of metabolite on neurotransmitter, resulting ina greater prevention of learning and memory impairments such as Alzheimertype dementia.

대학 실험실에서의 유기화합물 노출에 의한 건강위험성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Health Risk Assessment by Exposure to Organic Compounds in University Laboratory)

  • Objectives: Laboratories have various latent physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomical factors according to the diversification and fusion of research and development activities. This study aims to investigate the chemical exposure concentrations of college laboratories and evaluate their health risks, and use them as basic data to promote the health of college students. Methods: The sampling and analysis of harmful chemicals in the air in laboratories were performed using Method 1500 of the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)의 Method 1500. The harmful chemicals in the laboratories were divided into carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic chemicals. Risk assessment was performed using the cancer risk (CR) for carcinogenic chemicals and using the hazard index (HI) for non-carcinogenic chemicals. Results: The harmful chemicals in college laboratories consisted of acetone, diethyl ether, methylene chloride, n-hexane, ethyl acetate, chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, toluene, and xylenes. They showed the highest concentrations in laboratories A (acetone 0.001~2.34ppm), B (chloroform 0.95~6.35ppm), C (diethyl ether 0.08~8.68ppm), and D (acetone 0.07~14.96ppm). The risk assessment result for non-carcinogenic chemicals showed that the HI of methylene chloride was 2.052 for men and 2.333 for women, the HI of N-hexane was 4.442 for men and 5.05 for women. Thus, the HI values were higher than 1. The risk of carcinogenic chemicals is determined by an excess cancer risk (ECR) value of 1.0×10-5, which means that one in 100,000 people has a cancer risk. The ECRs of chloroform exceeded 1.0×10-5 for both men and women, indicating the possibility of cancer risk. Conclusion: College laboratories showed the possibility of non-carcinogenic health risks for methylene chloride, n-hexane, tetrahydrofuran (THF), toluene, and xylenes, and carcinogenic health risks for chloroform, methylene chloride. However, this study used the maximum values of measurements to determine the worst case, and assumed that the subjects were exposed to the corresponding concentrations continuously for 8 hours per day for 300 days per year. In consideration of the nature of laboratory environment in which people are intermittently exposed, rather than continuously, to the chemicals, the results of this study has an element of overestimation.
