  • IT 기술을 이용하여 학습하는 것을 e-러닝이라 한다. 최초의 e-러닝은 DistanceLearning과 Distributed Learning이라는 두 가지 측면만으로도 훌륭한 역할을 하였다. 그러나 최근 정보통신산업의 비약적인 발전에 따라 새로운 e-러닝 서비스에 대한 사용자의 요구가 높아지고 있다. 무선 이동통신기술과 하드웨어기술 등의 발전에 따라 언제 어디서나 양질의 교육에 접근할 수 있고, 멀티미디어 처리기술의 발전에 따라 개인맞춤형 e-러닝 서비스가 필요하다. 이에 따라 본 기고에서는 e-러닝 시스템이라는 측면에서 차세대 e-러닝 서비스를 구상하고자 한다.

An Empirical Study on the Factors Affecting Personnel e-Learning Acceptance (개인의 e-Learning 수용에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting personnel e-Learning acceptance. We used self-efficacy and perceived playfulness as independent variables to extended Technology Acceptance Model in an e-Learning contort. Perceived playfulness is the one of the important personal intrinsic motivational factors which could enlarge the understanding process of technology acceptance in the personal perspective. Questionnaires were collected from 94 respondents who experienced e-Learning systems that L Corporation provided. This study developed and empirically tested a model representing the relationship by using Structural Equation Model among factors which are: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, self-efficacy and attitudes. Also we measured affective and cognitive attitude because, most psychometric literature explain attitude has two different dimensions which are affective and cognitive. The major findings of the study are summarized as follows. Firstly, the higher the perceived usefulness the more affected the behavioral intention was to use as well as attitude to be positive. Secondly, as much as perceived playfulness more affected the perceived ease of use as well as self-efficacy. Finally, the perceived ease of use and self-efficacy are not significantly affected attitude while they are affected perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness.

  • 본 논문에서는 양방향 인터넷 방송을 위하여 연구되고 있는 고품질 동영상 콘텐츠의 객체 분할 기술을 이용하여 컴퓨터와 사용자간의 인터랙션을 개선하여 학습 몰입도를 높이고 고품질의 서비스를 제공하는 H2M(Human to Machine) e-learning 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템에서는 고품질 동영상 콘텐츠 및 기타 정보를 한눈에 볼 수 있으며 에듀테인먼트를 가미한 H2M e-learning시스템에 적합한 새로운 인터페이스를 제공하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel construction scheme for the personalized e-Learning system based on IRT(item response theory), which can be applied to the content including non-hierarchical and horizontal learning objects in its learning nodes. Especially the proposed system performs tests and re-estimates examinee ability during the learning nodes are operating so that the results are directly applied to the next node. This scheme can be called a dynamic relationship between test and learning which is totally different from conventional customization based on learning procedures separated from test steps. Moreover, we should periodically modify the averages of node difficulties, item parameters, and ability parameters of students so that the system have more accurate personalized learning capability. As a result, this scheme maximizes learning efficiency offering the most appropriate learning objects and items to the individual students according to their estimated abilities and the system itself should obtain continuous improvements by modifying the parameters and fulfilling periodical feedbacks.

  • Delivery efficiency of e-learning media can be influenced by authoring processes. Generally, a moving picture recorded by video camera can be delivered to student by multimedia streaming service, using media server technology. A e-learning media authored by lecture authoring tool is played in a student application by download-based delivery system. Recently, some animation know-how are applied to author e-learning media by hand-operation. In this paper, we suggest a client-based streaming service for the e-leaning media consists of media files and integration data The lecture of e-learning media nay be divided into some time-based small blocks. Each blocks can be located distributed site. The student system gather those blocks by download-scheduling. This is a valid method for QoS guarantee streaming services. In addition to our study, lecturers can author composite e-learning media includes media files and dynamic web pages simply, The distributed e-learning media files of our study is managed by multi-author and updated rapidly.

  • e-Learning은 시 공간의 제약 없이 교수자와 학습자간의 교육이 이루어진다는 장점이 있는 반면, 다양한 학습자의 요구를 만족시킬 만큼 충분한 학습 콘텐츠의 제작이 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 ADL(Advanced Distributed Learning)의 SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Modeling)의 표준에 따라 e-Learning의 학습 콘텐츠를 학습객체(Learning Object)로 제작하고, 이를 SCORM의 표준을 지원하는 LCMS(Learning Content Management System)를 이용하여 관리하려는 연구가 진행되고 있다. LCMS를 이용할 경우 학습 콘텐츠의 제사용성을 높이므로 학습 콘텐츠의 제작 및 관리가 무척 용이해진다는 장점이 있는 반면 탈맥락화된 학습 콘텐츠를 제작하기는 매우 어렵다는 단점을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 버전관리 기법을 이용한 탈맥락화된 학습 콘텐츠에 대한 제작이 용이한 시스템을 연구했다.

  • The self-regulated learning was making an alternative idea to improve a learning effect of student who takes part in a study course. This research aimed the self- regulated learning of E-learning system. Also. in this system, the students were able to select the learning object according to the learning method for improving learning effect that students take part in study spontaneously. And the learning logic was implemented for development efficiency and operation by web service. Finally, the test result of study group who had the similar studying level displayed that the proposal method was better learning effect than exist one.

Digital Immigrants' Goal Structures in Online Learning

  • Research Purpose Advances in digital technology have facilitated the widespread adoption of online learning, which has become a substantial way of learning. Although digital immigrants have become a main group of users of learning online, there is a lack of understanding of their online learning. This study aims to explore digital immigrants' adoption of online learning from the goal-pursuit perspective to gain insight into how they use online learning. Research Method A laddering interview was conducted with 22 Korean adults to elicit their goals in online learning. Then, a means-end chain analysis was used to derive their hierarchical goal structure. Findings The results reveal digital immigrants' goal structure of online learning, consisting of four attributes of online learning (e.g., accessibility, diversity, up-to-dateness, and repeatability) and six goals (e.g., self-esteem, enjoyment, recognition, productivity, gaining insights, and positive relations). This study contributes to the literature by providing a rich picture of their use of online learning.

Strategies for Revitalizing E-Learning Through Investigating the Characteristics of E-Learning and the Needs of Distance Learners in the Domestic Universities in Korea (국내 대학 e-러닝의 운영 특징 및 수강자 요구 조사를 통한 활성화 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the feasible strategies to vitalize e-learning through investigating the characteristics of e-learning and the evaluations of distance learners on online courses in the domestic universities in Korea. First, in order to accomplish this, 10 Universities and 17 Cyber Universities were selected to explore their characteristics and main projects of e-learning for the administration level investigation. Secondly, content analysis of the bulletin board systems(BBS) and in-depth interviews on distance learners in Cyber Universities were conducted for the user level investigation. The results revealed that Universities in Korea were focused on establishing mobile or smart campuses, diversifying online educational contents, enhancing online interactive systems, and educating e-learning system and smart device utilization. However, distance learners reported that mobile e-learning lacked stability when taking online courses despite its convenience for purpose of academic administration. In addition, distance learners requested the social application workshops to improve on their learning experience as well as the interactions among peers. Therefore, it is important to focus more on how to establish the education-oriented e-learning environment rather than how to implement the administrative projects to animate e-learning in the domestic universities in Korea.

Development and Application of the e-PAS System for an Efficient e-PBL Teaching and Learning (효율적인 e-PBL 교수학습을 위한 e-PAS 시스템 개발 및 적용)

  • With the development of the Information and Communication Technology(ICT), this society is changing rapidly to information based society. Also, the amount of new information and knowledge are increased quickly. Today, the traditional teaching-learning method based on teaching and learning of simple knowledge is not supported to problem solving any more. Because the learning and practice of ICT is affected not only personal growth but also the right to live. Due to this reason, it is important to teach and study using PBL(Problem Based Learning) in future. This paper proposes on-line based e-PBL which is combined e-learning with PBL. The e-PBL will be able to overcome the problem of traditional teaching-learnign method. Therefore, this paper developed the e-PBL teaching model for information literacy education of computer in elementary schools and inspected its effectiveness and validity. In addition, this paper built and utilized the e-PBL on-line learning support system including e-Mentoring which was defined as e-PAS system. It is effective for learners to improve the ability of self-leading, the accomplishment and satisfaction of studying.
