I analyzed the results of the influences the community activities will have on students' participation and how much these influences will satisfy students in terms of learning in an e-learning-based environment. These results were based on former studies on this topic. I summarized the characteristics of community activities, the methods for motivating learning desire, and students' participation in the learning session. I found out that community activities can form intimacy, and that using cell phone text messages (SMS) and emails as learning methods can be a factor in students' participation.

본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 기반의 스마트카드를 이용하여 다양한 사용자의 이용과 함께, 타 시스템과 연동을 통한 사용자 인증 및 교통, 유통, 학생증 기반을 제공하는 다기능 스마트 E-Learning 시스템을 구축하여, 다양한 제휴를 제공하고, 미래교육인프라를 활용함과 동시에 첨단 IT 환경인 스마트카드를 적용할 수 있는 종합적인 정보 서비스를 제공함으로써 유비쿼터스 E-Learning 문화를 체험하고, 보다 높은 수준의 교육환경을 제공하고자 한다. 또한 미래지향적 첨단 E-Learning 생활을 유도함과 동시에 각종 시설물 이용 및 다양한 생활에 이용되어 더 나은 Smart E-Learning을 제공한다. 이는 다양한 실적 및 통계자료의 활용을 통해 현황 파악의 신속성, 정확성을 기하여 21 세기 E-Leaning로서 경쟁력 강화 및 이미지 제고를 위하여, 스마트카드 시스템을 활용한 스마트 E-Learning 모델에 대하여 제시하고자 한다.

Despite steady economic growth of e-learning industry, manpower is lacking in e-learning industry. In this study, We developed a new e-learning business model including open market portal system to solve this problem. The existing e-learning business models required complicated procedure for creating contents. Therefore it took long time and great expense. But in this study we developed the business model with open market portal system, it can support to make easily for e-learning contents. We analysed usefulness our program and other popular programs with thirty lecturers. As a result of survey, usefulness of our system is presented. The study suggests differently the student-centered business model and the lecturer-centered business model than existing e-learning business model had the manufacturing company-centered business model and the services-centered business model. We anticipate the new business model invigorate the e-learning industry.

E-Learning standard SCORM has been prepared in the United States to establish the efficient operation and development of e-Learning. The learning object of the current SCORM focuses on easy development and reusability in the professor's side. In this study instead, we present a SCC (Sharable Content Collection) scheme which can provide various studying opportunities to the learners. Constructing an efficient SCC requires improving the SCO (Sharable Content Object), a key ingredient of SCORM, and analyzing the cyber lecture into components. In this way we suggest a method to improve the existing learning objects and present an e-Learning model based on SCC.

The purpose of the study was to suggest policy implications to support K-12 education, especially weak areas, through e-Learning, With the literature review and discussions among experts in the field of K-12 education, we identified three areas - support for neglected students, preference-based curriculum, and gifted education - as the ones e-Learning may contribute much, and discussed current situations and problems for the each area followed by policy implications accordingly. In addition, we suggest strategic bases for the policy implications, which were reform of the law and polices, contents sharing, and quality control of e-Learning.

Along with developments of information and communication technologies, internet has spread not only all over the society, but also our everyday life deeply. Also requirements for e-learning using internet in the educational aspect have a great influence on the changes of school educations. The benefits of e-learning are many, including cost-effectiveness, enhanced responsiveness to change, consistency, and timely contents. Therefore, the e-learning has been introduced to the universities. However, the e-learning is operated inefficiently because of introduction to the university with no definite idea about effects of education and economy in the university. Therefore, in this paper we analysed the category of e-learning based the curriculum operation forms in the university, surveyed tests about students preference and the studied what is desirable e-learning operation forms.

In many papers, item difficulty does apply to the E-Learning system for advance learning effect. But there have to need item revision difficulty for more correct item difficulty. Also, there have to support self-directed learning process which learner can make plan and operate learning progress. In this research, I developed self-directed E-Learning system using item revision difficulty. For efficiency of system development, il is implemented and composited by component based development. In the applied result, it was able to support more correct item revision difficulty to learner. And I displayed efficiency of operation the component based self-directed learning system.

The present thesis aims to analyze in consideration of recent changes in teaching environment in the universities the commercial digital contents and e-learning courses provided by the libraries, and to propose the ways to encourage university library service needed under the current situation. A survey of professors and students upon the quality of commercial digital contents service provided by the libraries in I University was made to measure its influence upon e-learning courses. The quality of commercial digital contents service provided by libraries was measured through Digital Library Service Quality Index (which will be referred as DL-SQL Model from here), which is used as a model to examine the Digital Library Service, with partial adjustments of 4 levels (information system service, digital books service, customer service quality, and customer community service) and 7 components (search possibility, an exclusive organization and interface, accessibility, digital books, customer support service, personalized service, and customer community). Among the library services in regard to digital contents, "customer service" and "customer community service" were analyzed to have stronger influence upon e-learning teaching and studying than quality-based service for "information system" and "digital books". Consequently, it is concluded that customized information service provided by the library for the professors who teach e-learning courses and their students is more influential to supporting e-learning courses than quantity pushing service through purchasing commercial digital contents, upon which the direction of digital contents policy to provide library services for e-learning courses should be based.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of e-learning quality and learner's usage motivation on e-learning satisfaction in Korea and China. In addition, by comparing and analyzing the factors influencing the satisfaction of learners between the two countries, this study aims to suggest the effective use of e-learning. This study surveyed Korean university students at Y and K universities in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Chinese university students at A university in Henan, China. As a result, for Korean university students, it is showed that learning time, learning space, learning process, usefulness, e-learning information quality, and service quality affect e-learning satisfaction. For Chinese university students, learning time, learning process and e-learning system quality, information quality, and service quality were found to affect e-learning satisfaction. Among them, service quality was an important factor influencing e-learning satisfaction in both countries, but the average score of each factor was very low. In the future, we discussed ways to improve service quality.

This paper is to investigate how types of presenting e-learning contents affect learning. The study examines learning outcome such as students' learning achievement, satisfaction, and perceived learning outcome of a course in liberal arts by three different types: VOD, WBI, and Text. The findings of this study will present the effectiveness of contents presentation type in e-learning. It is anticipated that the study will offer some suggestions to develop e-learning contents types for similar courses and further to develop effective contents types for various courses.
