A Study on the Comparative Analysis of Slim Pants Patterns for Men in Their 20s

  • The purpose of this study was to select patterns for slim fit pants, for the following main research, to develop new pants patterns that are suitable and preferable for men in their 20s. We compared and analyzed the patterns of which are currently in the market. We compared 10 different slim pants pattern drafting and analyzed their differences. Then, we examined their appearances and functionalities thru a male model test fitting 10 different samples of the pants. The conclusions of the research results were as follows. We listed the patterns in the following order based on the numbers of items each pattern has, which are statistically considerable for the evaluation to the optimum satisfactory level among the total of 35 testing categories: J > B=I > F=H > A > C=G > D > E. In the functionality test of the pants, we found that it was too tight around the waist and abdomen area with Pattern D, where-as it was too loose around the waist with Pattern C:,-, yet, both of the patterns indicated that it is a good fit in over-all. Therefore, we chose Pattern E, D, C, and G as the existing pants patterns that could be used for further research and for educational purposes to develop a slim pants pattern for men in their 20s.

Application of Probabilistic Health Risk Analysis in Life Cycle Assessment -Part I : Life Cycle Assessment for Environmental Load of Chemical Products using Probabilistic Health Risk Analysis : A Case Study (전과정평가에 있어 확률론적 건강영향분석기법 적용 -Part II : 화학제품의 환경부하 전과정평가에 있어 건강영향분석 모의사례연구)

  • Health risk assessment is applied to streamlining LCA(Life Cycle Assessment) using Monte carlo simulation for probabilistic/stochastic exposure and risk distribution analysis caused by data variability and uncertainty. A case study was carried out to find benefits of this application. BTC(Benzene, Trichloroethylene, Carbon tetrachloride mixture alias) personal exposure cases were assumed as production worker(in workplace), manager(in office) and business man(outdoor). These cases were different from occupational retention time and exposure concentration for BTC consumption pattern. The result of cancer risk in these 3 scenario cases were estimated as $1.72E-4{\pm}1.2E+0$(production worker; case A), $9.62E-5{\pm}1.44E-5$(manger; case B), $6.90E-5{\pm}1.16E+0$(business man; case C), respectively. Portions of over acceptable risk 1.00E-4(assumed standard) were 99.85%, 38.89% and 0.61%, respectively. Estimated BTC risk was log-normal pattern, but some of distributions did not have any formal patterns. Except first impact factor(BTC emission quantity), sensitivity analysis showed that main effective factor was retention time in their occupational exposure sites. This case study is a good example to cover that LCA with probabilistic risk analysis tool can supply various significant information such as statistical distribution including personal/environmental exposure level, daily time activity pattern and individual susceptibility. Further research is needed for investigating real data of these input variables and personal exposure concentration and application of this study methodology.

  • According to recent empirical studies, there is a systematic pattern in temporal behaviors of asset returns, and that systematic pattern is related to the business cycle. I propose a model which captures this evidence. This is done by considering a state dependent preference structure where state dependency is related to the business cycle. In this setting, the three main puzzles(i.e., the volatility puzzle, the equity premium puzzle, mean reversion) are understood as interrelated behaviors.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the smart-phone and the existing service convergence to find out the future direction in convergence pattern in e-business. To analyze the data and to derive the result, the association rules are applied. As a result, the findings are as followings. Firstly, it is observed that the usage patterns of smart-phone and the existing service convergence are very similar. This means that the convergence of smart-phone can be predicted through the usage pattern of the existing users. Secondly, through the analysis on the convergence patterns of smart-phone usages and the existing services, the smart-phone's link to home networking and office equipments can significantly conform to the user's requirements. It is meaningful that this research has newly approached to the future direction of e-business and the future convergence paradigm by analyzing the relationship between the usage patterns of smart-phone users and the existing service convergence.

A Study on the Pattern Sizes among Toddlers' Brands (유아복(乳兒服)브랜드의 내의(內衣) 패턴 사이즈 조사(調査) 연구(硏究))

  • In order to compare the sizes of infants;brands, the apparel size #70 and #80, #90 were surveyed, while upper body lengths, bust circumferences and waists, hip circumferences, shoulder length, sleeve length, neck circumferences of infants' underwears were examined. As a result, it was found that upper body lengths, chest circumferences and lower body lengths of infants' underwears differed more or by $2.0{\sim}3.0cm$ among brands than other sizes. In case of underwear size #70, the average upper body length was 32.8cm; the upper body size of "c" brand was longest or 33.5cm, while that of "e" brand was shortest or 32.0cm. In case of size #80, the average upper body length was 36.0cm; the upper body size of "a" brand was longest or 37.0cm, while that of "e" brand was shortest of 35.0cm. Such findings may be attributable to the fact that the main customers of "a" and "b" brands whose pattern sizes are larger are middle or lower class people who tend to buy larger infants' apparels than their children's actual body sizes. In contrast, "e" brand seems to target the upper class who prefers the apparels almost fitting their children's actual body sizes.

A Study on the Automatic Pattern Development of Adult Male Basic Pattern Using 3D Body Scan Data

  • This study examined how to create 2D basic pattern of individuals by means of 3-D body figure, which is to develop a flat of individual basic pattern directly from the 3-D body scan data of each subject using that of the upper body of a male adult. In terms of methodology, this study adopted 3D body scan data on system and body to make examinations in the following steps: 1. Standard point and line were set on human body, along with 3-D definition points(feature points). 2. PB was created by modifying horizontal and longitudinal section of scan data. 3. Ways to set reserve were established in the findings of PB planar development. Respective developed flat patterns were compared with pattern findings in previous studies by means of sensory evaluation. As a result, it was found that both system and body model are basic pattern and belong to appropriate pattern as semi-tight-fit basic pattern with overall appropriate tolerances. Thus, this study came to a conclusion that it is feasible and valid to develop theories for flat development as considered herein.

Study on Optimal Appointment Pattern using Plastic Surgery Appointment Data (성형외과 예약 고객 데이터를 반영한 최적 예약 패턴 연구)

  • Purpose: This study investigates the best appointment pattern which can enhance customer's satisfaction and hospital's efficient management reflecting plastic surgery clinic's service characteristics. Methodology: The data of this study is obtained from Plastic surgery Clinic which is located in the civic center. By collecting and analyzing the data, we build the simulation model using ARENA. Based on 5 appointment patterns that was suggested in formal appointment scheduling studies, we experiment 3 simulation models; 'Basic Appointment Pattern' that has no restriction, 'Restriction on Second Customer' that restricts the number of second customer's in each slot, 'Restriction on Process Time' that restricts the number of second customer who has long process time in each slot. We can check robustness of the appointment patterns by experimenting on off-peak day and peak day, during peak season. Findings: This study confirms that these 2 restrictions can give a better result than 'Basic Appointment Pattern' that just simply distributes customers by number. Especially, the performance of Triangle-like pattern which is the best appointment pattern in the formal study has been improved by adding restrictions. Based on 'DET', 'Restriction on Second Customer' shows a better result. Meanwhile, based on 'E(WT)', 'Restriction on Process Time' shows a better result. Overall, based on 'DET+E(WT)', 'Restriction on Second Customer' shows a better result. Practical Implications: The purpose of each hospital may alter as demand for plastic surgery grows increasingly. Thus, each hospital should be always prepared to introduce appointment pattern for changed purpose. In order to respond flexibly to these changes, it is necessary for medical personnel to improve the awareness or for hospital to create an environment by constructing appointment program so that medical personnel does not need to put more labor on work.

  • Purpose: This study uses the protection motivation theory and information processing theory to discuss the high number of fraud phenomenon in Indonesia which causes worries to the internet users. The second problem is the large amount of information transparency in e-commerce which actually hinders the users in making decisions so it causes a negative behavior pattern, namely discontinue usage intention. Design/methodology: Therefore, this research hopes to provide insight to the online or e-commerce business community, especially for Tokopedia, to develop its business from understanding the factors influencing consumer attitude when shopping online. The sample are students from Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Universitas Gadjah Mada and Institut Teknologi Surabaya, with total 900 respondents. Result: The results of this research indicate that ubiquitous connectivity (UC) variable significantly affects variables such as the privacy concern (PC), information transparency (IT) and information overload (IO). PC and IO variables also significantly affect Discontinue Usage Intention (DUI). Conclusion: This study gives a new perspective that despite the phenomenon, the millennial generation especially are not entirely concerned about the privacy concern, however, this study clearly shows that the privacy issue in the digital word continues to be something that needs to be cared for.

  • Activity Pattern Analysis(APA) is the methodology to Design the functions of information systems, to Estimate the monetary value of IS based on Activity Based Costing, to Acquire feasibility of IT Project. This study shows APA case in Health Check-up Service Organization (G-Center) and the Utility of APA. G-Center had acquired Five Outcomes through APA: (1) IT Strategy, (2) IT Project Goals, (3) Transformed Business Process, (4) Functional Blueprint of Information Systems, (5) IT Project budget and its feasibility. APA consists of three analysis processes; Activity Separation, Activity Rearrangement, Activity Costing. APA is flexible in determinating the range and the time of analysis, and is able to expand the Actors(as analysis objects) based on the purpose of analysis by researcher. Eventually APA can be used to do internal IT Management effectively.

  • Purpose - This paper suggests approaching methods for a way of strategies for traditional market extend and new ebusiness, market development, and plan of new product in the future and develop a way of method for cooperation through analysis on the smart phone market trend in different culture, effectively. Research design, data, methodology - As research design, data, and methodology, this paper suggests new idea and approaches from comparing characteristics analysis of smart phone market in different culture in AEC. This paper takes data to analysis from ITU, World Bank, AEC, and IMF. These organizer's data can be trusted as official society in the world. This paper can prove market and the characteristics of society through the corresponding results. Results - This paper can suggest the novel idea on market development and the big possibility depend on ACE country and can describe the possibility on new market because of low smart phone market penetration and low digital market penetration. Conclusions - This paper concludes to develop e-business, culture friendly ship, linking with education, development of appropriate technology depend on country, and should develop new strategy for market extend to low penetration.
