Objectives : The aim of this study is to analyze the prescription used for dysuria in herbal medication. Methods : Investigating the Oriental Medicine textbooks, I found the prescription used for dysuria. So I analyzed the herbal medication for frequency or compositon and classified it. Results : 1. The most used prescription on dysuria is Paljung-san. 2. The order of frequency of herb for treating dysuria is Moktong, Hwalseok, Gamcho, 3. The group of Yisusamseopyak is used for main prescription about 42%.

1. Object: The primary purpose of this case study is to report that a Tae-Yin-In patients with sweaty scrotum and dysuria was treated with 'Chung sim youn ja tang' and then his symptom decreased 2. Subject: A male obese patient with sweaty scrotum and dysuria that visit Kirin oriental hospital to be treated for obesity 3. Method: The patient was to have a very low calory diet and to exercise for an hour daily and to take a Herb-medicine, 'Chung sim youn ja tang'. Change of his subjective symptom, sweaty scrotum and dysuria, was measured by VAS(Visual Analog Scale) 4. Result: A Tae-Yin-In patients with sweaty scrotum and dysuria was treated with 'Chung sim youn ja tang' and Change of his subjective symptom, sweaty scrotum and dysuria, was measured by VAS(Visual Analog Scale) then his symptom decreased. 5. Conclusion: 'Chung sim youn ja tang' may have an effect on Treatment of sweaty scrotum and dysuria. Further study is needed how to conclud 'disease pattern of constitution' accroding with co-symptom.

Dysuria has been mentioned several times in "Treatise on cold" and "Golden Chamber" of Zhang Zhong-jing in Han Dynasty. This article makes a detailed discussion of etiology, pathogenesis, treatment and prescription of Dysuria from three periods that is Han and Tang Dynasty, Song and Yuan Dynasty, Ming and Qing Dynasty. It has demonstrated the inheritance, development and innovation of academic ideas of later physicians from Zhang Zhong-jing, which enriched and developed the theory of Zhong-jing.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the improvement after oriental medical treatment about a patient who has spinal cord infarction with monoplegia and pain of lower extremity and dysuria. Methods : We diagnosed that symptoms as Wejeung, and employed oriental medical treatment, acupuncture, herbal medicine and moxibustion. This study was measured by MMT(Manual Muscle Testing), VAS(Visual Analogue Scale) and the number of Nelaton Catherization. Results : After oriental medical treatment, power and pain of lower extremity and dysuria were improved. Conclusions : There is no specific treatment for spinal cord infarction in western medicine and the prognosis is not so good. But in the case of this patient, power and pain of lower extremity and dysuria were improved remarkably through oriental medical treatment. Further clinical studies are needed to verify the findings.

Spinal cord infarction is one of the rare strokes with no clear signs of serious nerve damage or after-effects. This study reports on the effectiveness of a combined treatment of Korean medicine and acupuncture on bilateral paraplegia, dysuria, and constipation in a patient with sudden-onset spinal cord infarction. An 84-year-old male patient was diagnosed with spinal cord infarction in August 2022. After diagnosis by whole spine MRI, he received treatment for two months at another hospital, but the improvement was insignificant. He then received Korean medicine treatment, and during this period, his lower extremity manual muscle test grade improved from 3 to 4 and his modified Rivermead mobility index score increased by 13 points, compared with hospitalization. Dysuria improved with acupuncture, and constipation improved with herbal medicine treatment. A combination of herbal medicine and acupuncture can be used to treat paraplegia, dysuria, and constipation caused by spinal cord infarction.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of traditional Korean medical treatments on a stroke patient with gait disturbance, cognitive impairment, dysuria, and dysphagia. A 78-year-old female with chronic middle cerebral artery infarction had symptoms of gait disturbance, cognitive impairment, dysuria, and dysphagia. After being treated with Korean medicine therapies, including acupuncture and herbal medicine, the patient's symptoms were significantly improved. During all the treatments, Indices including manual muscle test, functional ambulation category, functional independence measuring, mini-mental state examination-K, global deterioration scale, pelvic symmetry, functional ambulation profile used to evaluate her symptoms indicated improvement in her symptoms, without any side effects. Traditional Korean medical treatments, such as acupuncture and herbal medicine, can be considered to be effective therapies for a stoke patient who has symptoms of gait disturbance, cognitive impairment, dysuria, and dysphagia.

A 3-year-old, male Shih-tzu dog with clinical signs of dysuria and hematuria was brought to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Chonnam National University. The patient was suspected urolithiasis by history taking and clinical signs but urinary and urethra calculus was not found in the radiographic examination. Enlarged prostatic gland (29.0$\times$28.0 mm) and severe finding of cystitis was observed from the ultrasonographic examination. The dog was finally diagnosed as the secondary urethral obstruction by benign prostatic hyperplasia. Castration was performed to treatment of acute hyperplasia of prostatic gland and prostatic cysts. After 26 days of operation, the prostate was defined small, hypoechoic, symmetric and decreased size (18.5$\times$18.0mm) by ultrasonography and dysuria cured completely.

Objectives : The objective of this study was to report a effectiveness of meridian tendino-musculature acupuncture on the pelvic pain and dysuria in a patient with chronic prostatitis. Methods : A patient with Pelvic pain and Dysuria was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion. Before and After treatment we measured International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS), National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI) and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS), National Institutes of Health -Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI) and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores were decreased considerably after 14 times treatment. Conclusions : It was suggesting that symptoms(pelvic pain and dysuria) of chronic prostatitis could be improved by acupuncture and moxibustion treatment in the view of the meridian tendino- musculature acupuncture.

Imperforate hymen is a rare congenital disorder that may predispose to retention of fluid in the vagina and uterus, thereby resulting in conditions such as hematocolpos, pyocolpos, and pyocolpometra in female dogs. A 7-year-old intact female shih tzu exhibiting abdominal distension, depression, anorexia, dysuria, dyschezia, and tenesmus was diagnosed with pyocolpos; a 9-year-old intact female Yorkshire terrier with abdominal mass, dysuria, and tenesmus was diagnosed with hematocolpos; and a 7-year-old intact female shih tzu with dysuria, dyschezia, anorexia, and vomiting was diagnosed with pyocolpometra. Ovariohysterectomy and partial vaginectomy were performed, and the blind end of the vaginal stump was omentalized. This clinical report provide diagnostic process and surgical treatment option for congenital vaginal obstruction cases.

■ Objectives The purpose of this case report is to show the effect of Bojungiki-tang on a patient complaining dysuria and urinary pain caused by repeated urinary tract infection(UTI) occurred after onset of cerebral infarction. ■ Methods A cerebral infarction patient with repeated UTI was treated with herbal medication, Bojungiki-tang. Then we evaluated the improvement with amount of total urine output, nelaton catheterization urine output and self voiding urine output. ■ Results Increase in amount of total and self voiding urine output and decrease in amount of nelaton urine output were observed after taking Bojungiki-tang. ■ Conclusion This case showed the effect of Bojungiki-tang on dysuria and urinary pain caused by repeated UTI.
