SCM415강의 정적 및 동적 변형거동에 미치는 탄화물 구상화율 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study of Static and Dynamic Deformation Behaviors of SCM415 steel on the Change of Spherodization of Cementite)

  • Effect of spherodization of cementite on static and dynamic deformation behaviors of SCM415 steels was investigated in this study. Dynamic torsional test was conducted using torsional Kolsky bar with the strain rate of $1.6{\times}10^3/s$. Three type of specimens were used with different spherodization degree of cementite. Dynamic test results were analyzed comparing with static tensile results and microstructural changes. The obtained results are as follows; 1) All the specimens of static and dynamic tests showed a ductile fracture mode of dimple. Specimens of the dynamic test showed adiabatic shear bands on the beneath of fracture surface. 2) In static tensile test, decreased tensile strength and increased uniform and non-uniform elongations appeared as spherodization degree of cementite increased. 3) In dynamic torsional test, decreased shear strength and increased uniform elongation appeared as spherodization degree of cementite increased. 4) Due to the largest uniform elongation, superior cold forgeability at high speed is expected on high spherodization degree of cementite.

극저온 압연 및 온간 압연 기술을 이용한 5052 알루미늄 합금의 기계적 성질의 향상 (Large enhancement in mechanical properties of the 5052 Al alloys by cryogenic and warm rolling)

  • Cryogenic rolling combined with warm rolling has been found to be more effective than only cryogenic rolling procedure in improving the strength of a 5052 Al alloy. In this study, cryo-rolled 5052 Al alloys were aged at $175^{\circ}C$. Warm rolling was conducted after dipping plates into silicon oil bath. A notable increase of tensile strength is achieved by the precipitation during warm rolling. The mechanical behavior of this alloy was investigated by hardness and tensile tests. The microstructure was investigated by transmission electron microscopy. It was found that the cryogenic rolling combined with warm rolling was very effective in improving tensile strength.

Determination of spalling strength of rock by incident waveform

  • An experimental technique for determining the spalling strength of rock-like materials under a high strain rate is developed. It is observed that the spalling strength of a specimen can be determined by only knowing the wavelength, loading peak value and length of the first spallation of an incident wave under a specific loading waveform. Using this method in combination with a split-Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) and other experimental devices, the spalling strength of granite specimens under a high strain rate is tested. Comparisons with other experimental results show that the new measuring method can accurately calculate the dynamic tensile strength of rock materials under a high strain rate.

동적(動的) 인장하중(引張荷重)을 받는 콘크리트의 실제적(實際的)인 모델 (A Realistic Model for Concrete Subjected to Dynamic Tensile Loading)

  • 동적(動的) 인장하중(引張荷重) 받는 콘크리트의 거동(擧動) 모델화(化)하기 위한 비선형(非線型) 구성이론(構成理論)이 제안(提案)되었다. 콘크리트의 정적(靜的) 인장거동(引張擧動)은 징세균열면처리론(徵細龜裂面處理論)에 의(依)하여 모델하고, 동적(動的) 인장하중(引張荷重)으로 인한 변형율속도효과(變形率速度效果)를 고려하기 위하여 유사변환을 이용(利用)하였다. 본(本) 모델의 결과(結果)를 현존하는 여러 동적(動的) 인장실험자료(引張實驗資料)와 비교하였다. 또한, 동적(動的) 인장하중(引張荷重)으로 인한 인장강도의 증가현상을 예측하기 위한 공식(公式)이 제안되었다. 본(本) 모델은 콘크리트구조물(構造物)의 좀 더 실제적인 동적(動的) 유한요소해석(有限要素解析)을 가능케 한다.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic tensile characteristics of the steel sheets for structural members of a train. Train accidents occurs rarely but lead to many casualties and economical loss. Therefore the safety of the train becomes important during the train crash. The dynamic tensile characteristics of the steel sheets are indispensable to analyze the structural crashworthiness. Current research reports the stress-strain curves, fracture elongation and strain rate sensitivities evaluated at the various strain rates especially for SUS304L-ST and SUS304L-LT steel sheets. The results include the difference in the dynamic tensile characteristics of both rolling and transverse directions. Dynamic tensile tests were performed at the strain rates ranging from 0.003/sec to 200/sec using High Speed Material Testing Machine. The materials tested in this research shows interesting behavior at the low strain rates. The strain hardening exponent decreases remarkably while the yield strength increases.

유리섬유 보강재를 이용한 재활용 아스팔트 혼합물의 물리적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Physical Properties of Recycled Asphalt Mixtures Using Glass Fiber Reinforcement)

  • PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to evaluate the physical properties of recycled asphalt mixtures reinforced with glass fiber. METHODS : Firstly, mixing design was conducted on recycled asphalt mixture for use of 50% recycled aggregate. Various laboratory tests were performed on four types of recycled asphalt mixtures with different glass fiber content to evaluate the physical properties. The laboratory tests include indirect tensile strength test, dynamic modulus test, Hamburg wheel tracking test and tensile-strength ratio to evaluate cracks, rutting and moisture resistance of mixtures. RESULTS : The indirect tensile strength of fiber reinforced glass increased about 139.4%. As a result of comparing the master curves obtained by the dynamic modulus test, the elasticity was low in the low temperature region and high in the high temperature region when the glass fiber was reinforced. The glass fiber contents of PEGS 0.3%, Micro PPGF 0.1% and Macro PPGF 0.3% showed the highest moisture resistance and rutting resistance. CONCLUSIONS : The test results show that use of glass fiber reinforcement can increase the resistance to cracking, rutting, and moisture damage of asphalt mixtures. It is also necessary to validate the long-term performance of recycled asphalt mixtures with glass fiber using full scale pavement testing and field trial construction.

하이브리드 섬유보강 시멘트복합체의 인장거동에 미치는 변형속도의 영향 (Effect of Strain Rate on Tensile Behavior of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Cement-based Composites)

  • In this study, the tensile behavior of single and hybrid fiber reinforced cement composite according to strain rate was evaluated. Experimental results, in the strain rate 10-6/s, fiber reinforced cement composite showed improved of tensile strength and decrease of strain at peak stress as SSF volume content increased. In the strain rate 101/s, the single and hybrid reinforced cement composite' s tensile properties are improved, because of the improved bond strength between the fiber and matrix. And hybrid fiber reinforced cement composite showed high energy absorption capacity, because the SSF prevented the cracking and fracture of the surrounding matrix when during the HSF pull-out.

  • Evaluation of fatigue strength on the spot welded part is very important for strength design of spot welded steel structures. In this paper, we could get the life cycle of the spot welded part using the lethargy coefficient obtained through the quasi-static tensile shear test for the specimen welded by current 10kA. The reliability evaluation of the life cycle is completed by comparing the life cycle calculated under the constant loading rate with the life cycle obtained by dynamic fatigue test. And then the result calculated by the lethargy coefficient is verified through the lift cycle calculated using the dynamic final tensile stress formula under the increased loading speed. This way can make save the time and cost in processing of predicting the life cycle of a structure.

  • 최근에 자동차 차체 경량화를 목적으로 개발된 고장력강의 용접품질 향상을 위해 인버터 DC 점용접기가 많이 사용되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 개발된 인버터 DC 용접기를 사용하여 자동차용 590MPa 고장력 냉연강판(CR, SPFC 590RA)과 아연 도금 강판 (GA- EZFFC 590RA)의 용접품질을 평가하였다. 용접에 사용된 기본 조건은 인장 전단 시험을 통하여 결정하였으며, 동저항, 압흔 자국과 너겟 지름, 인장강도와의 관계를 통계적 방법으로 분석하였으며, 이를 활용하여 고장력 강판의 동저항과 압흔 자국에 따라 너겟 지름과 용접강도를 예측하는 비파괴적 용접 품질 평가 방법을 제시하였다.

변형 속도에 따른 후크형 강섬유 및 폴리아미드섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 압축 및 인장강도 특성 (Strain Rate Effect on the Compressive and Tensile Strength of Hooked Steel Fiber and Polyamide Fiber Reinforced Cement Composite)

  • 본 연구에서는 유압식 급속재하 시험 장치를 제작하여 변형 속도에 따른 후크형 강섬유 및 폴리아미드 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 압축강도 및 인장강도 특성을 평가하였다. 그 결과, 변형 속도가 증가함에 따라 압축강도, 최대 응력 점에서의 변형 및 탄성계수는 증가하였으며, 섬유 종류 및 혼입률은 변형 속도에 의한 압축강도의 영향은 크지 않았다. 본 연구에서 평가된 압축강도의 DIF는 CEB-FIP model code 2010에 비해 상회하였으며, ACI-349의 예측값과 유사한 경향이 나타났다. 인장특성의 경우에도 변형 속도가 증가함에 따라 인장강도와 변형능력이 크게 향상되었다. 후크형 강섬유보강 시멘트 복합체는 변형 속도가 증가함에 따라 섬유와 매트릭스의 부착력이 증가하는 것에 의해 인장강도와 변형능력이 크게 향상되었으며, 섬유가 매트릭스로부터 인발되는 파괴 특성이 나타났다. 한편, 폴리아미드 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 경우 섬유와 매트릭스의 부착력이 크기 때문에 섬유가 매트릭스로부터 인발되지 않고 끊어지는 파괴 특성이 나타났으며, 폴리아미드 섬유보강시멘트 복합체의 인장특성에 대한 변형 속도 효과는 섬유의 인장강도에 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 판단되었다. 이러한 결과로부터 폴리아미드 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 인장강도에 대한 변형 속도의 효과는 후크형 강섬유의 부착력에 대한 민감도 보다 큰 것으로 사료된다.
