  • International business research presents a broad consensus on the importance of dynamic capabilities in the internationalization of SMEs. However, there is a lack of research on assessing the impact of dynamic capabilities and the level of SMEs' internationalization operating in a turbulent and dynamic business environment. This study examines the impact of environmental dynamism and three sets of dynamic capabilities, namely, sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring capabilities on internationalized SMEs' geographic scope. In addition, this research examines the association between internationalized SMEs' characteristics: SME's age, size, and SME owner/manager's international experience and SMEs' geographic scope. This study used a quantitative research and employed survey questionnaires to collect data from 305 internationalized Malaysian manufacturing SMEs. Anova tests and Chi Square tests were employed to analyze data collected from respondents using SPSS. Research findings revealed that environmental dynamism and dynamic capabilities have a significant impact on internationalized SMEs' geographic scope, however, none of the internationalized SMEs' characteristics had a significant relationship with their geographic scope. The result of this research suggest internationalized SMEs owner/managers need to possess sensing, seizing and reconfiguring capabilities, and monitor business environmental dynamism to increase their geographic scope. This paper ends with drawing a set of concluding remarks and recommendations.

  • This paper deals with an experimental technique for the measurement of dynamic stability derivatives in the roll motion of aircraft. Experimental aquisition method for aircraft's dynamic stability derivatives is conducted on the oscillation condition of aircraft model in the subsonic wind tunnel. The oscillation of aircraft model was forced by the oscillation apparatus. The forced oscillation technique is the method getting data from the internal balance inserted into the aircraft model during oscillating it. Dynamic stability derivatives of rolling motion were calculated by data reduction from the measurements of rolling moment, frequency and amplitude of aircraft model due to forced oscillation under wind conditions. Results of experiment is obtained similar one with those of roll dynamic stability derivatives measured in other institutes.

  • This study investigates the capital structure policy among Indonesian public companies. Previous studies suggest that capital structure policy could follow either static or dynamic behavior. The sample data used in this study was companies in the manufacturing sector, divided into three sub-sectors: the basic and chemical industry, miscellaneous industry, and the consumer goods industry. This study uses panel data from 2010 to 2018, with the Generalized Least Square (GLS) method and compared whether the fixed effect model is better than the common effect model. The results show that the dynamic and non-linear model tests can explain the capital structure determinants than the static and linear models. The dynamic model shows that the capital structure of a certain year is influenced by the capital structure of the previous year. The findings indicate that the company performs some adjustments in its capital structure policy by referring to the previous debt ratio, which implies support to the trade-off theory (TOT). The study also shows that profitability, tangible assets, size, and age explain the variation of capital structure policy. The patterns on the dynamic and non-linear confirm that capital structure runs in a nonlinear pattern, based on the sector, company condition, and the dynamic environment.

  • The advantage of the DSM which employ multi-bit quantizer is the increased SNR at the modulator's output. Typically 6 dB improvement is effected for every one additional bit. But multi-bit quantizer evidently requires multi-bit DAC in the feedback loop. The integral linearity error of the feedback DAC has direct impact upon the system performance and degraded SNR of the system. In order to mitigate the negative impact the DAC has on the system performance, many DEM(Dynamic Element Matching) schemes has been proposed. Among the proposed schemes, four schemes(DER,CLA,ILA,DWA) are explained and its performance has been compared. DWA(Data Weighted Averaging) method shows the best performance of the all.

  • This study aims to investigate numerically the static and dynamic stiffness characteristics of porous air bearing and to estimate appropriate permeability values of porous medium. In particular, a new roughness model is proposed and implemented into the commercial CFD code (FLUENT Ver.6.2). The predicted results are extensively compared with experimental data for static cases. The roughness model is also validated through comparison with the results from open literature. For the dynamic cases, the deforming and re-meshing technique is used for describing fluid-solid interactions. It is found that the predictions for static stiffness are in good agreement with experimental data and the dynamic stiffness appears to be relatively smaller than the static stiffness. In addition, moving and dynamic analysis of air bearing seems to be possible to provide qualitative predictions even if there are somewhat discrepancies quantitatively, compared to experimental data.

  • Dynamic thermal rating technology can effectively improve the thermal load capacity of transmission lines. However, its availability is limited by the quantity and high cost of the hardware facilities. This paper proposes a new dynamic thermal rating technology based on global/regional assimilation and prediction system (GRAPES) and geographic information system (GIS). The paper will also explore the method of obtaining any point meteorological data along the transmission line by using GRAPES and GIS, and provide the strategy of extracting and decoding meteorological data. In this paper, the accuracy of numerical weather prediction was verified from the perspective of time and space. Also, the 750-kV transmission line in Shaanxi Province is considered as an example to analyze. The results of the study indicate that dynamic thermal rating based on GRAPES and GIS can fully excavate the line power potential without additional cost on hardware, which saves a lot of investment.

  • Thin-layers of wheat and barley are dried at near-ambient temperatures(3.5$^{\circ}C$ -5$0^{\circ}C$) in order to obtain the intrinsic drying data. The well established apparatus was modified to enable it to record all the sample weight data in still air by using a purpose -built automatically controlled sliding valve. The air could be diverted in less than 0.5seconds and a 7 second period was required to attain a steady weight reading. With this apparatus, very smooth drying curves were obtained. The data of sample weight , drying temperature and dew point temperature wee recorded continuously . The drying process was terminated when the moisture content change in 24 hours was less than 0.004 d.b. This was achieved by drying a sample for about a week . The final points were recorded as the dynamic equilibrium moisture content(EMC). The drying data were than fitted to the exponential Newton model and the dynamic EMC data were fitted to the Modified-Chung-Pfost Model . All the fitted parameters are given and comparison is made with previous published data. The comparisons who that the current drying constants are lower than the previous data, the dynamic EMC data obtained for wheat and barely agree with the previous data. The results show that to obtain the drying constant in the exponential Newton model, adequate drying time is necessary.

  • The dynamic behavior of heat recovery steam generators for combined cycle power plant is simulated in cases of startup and shutdown conditions. To ensure performance and design data, dynamic model of the HRSG was developed and dynamic simulation was performed. The dynamic analysis will undoubtedly reduce costs which is associated with plant startup and contribute to a smooth commercial plant operation.
