Since modem times, civilization of scientific technology has rapidly expanded and resulted in many negative aspects. Dystopia is a skeptical future standpoint newly introduced by surging awareness of these negative aspects. The purpose of this study is to discover the common characteristics by studying costumes displayed in dystopian films which have critical view of the future. This study is made through the research of sundry records, thesis and capture images from DVD system. As a result of the study, the common formative characteristics of future costumes appearing in six dystopian films are classified into external characteristics and internal characteristics. First, external characteristics were analyzed according to the form, material and color. Second, internal characteristics of costumes appearing in dystopian films are categorized as the indeterminate expression, ex-typical expression and uniform expression. The above formative characteristics of dystopian future costumes can be described as the embodiment of meanings of influence from present and future cultural changes in terms of the characteristics of fashion.

Generally, as for the multimedia high quality contents, an illegality facsimile is possible without a damage of a quality. Also a distribution of contents duplicated illegality in an Internet is giving a great economic loss to digital contents provider. Therefore, a study for security and efficient distribution of digital contents is required. The most important issues in a design of digital contents distribution system are a user convenience, an execution speed and a security. In this study, we designed digital contents distribution system that used a web caching technology and an encryption/decryption technique on hierarchical structure. The proposed system was the digital contents distribution system that improved a security and execution speed, a convenience of a user. Also it verified performance superiority of a proposed system by an examination.

Since Homeros in Greece, Mimesis was thought to be an art to imitate the nature, and it means an imitation of the nature classically. Mimetic theories were set to be a kind of art work in the era of Renaissance, and the terminology of mimesis was widely used to replace it with an originality in the 15th century. The purpose of this study is to understand the aesthetics of mimesis expressed in media costume design. For this purpose, I investigated the theories of the mimesis, categorized the definition, then applied those categories for media costume design. Documentary studies were conducted through aesthetics, fashion books and demonstrative studies were processed by analyzing photos from collection fashion magazines and media DVD, video, fashion site of internet. In the history of aesthetics, the mimesis could be defined into three categories; the external representation mimesis, the internal symbol mimesis and the multiful meta mimesis. In media costume, the representation mimesis included design historical point of view, a period that of 1900s and ancient representation mimesis. The internal mimesis included symbol of religion, character, riches, psychology and fear mimesis. The multiful meta mimesis included hybrid and distortion mimesis. Analysis on the mimesis expressed in media costume design fashion may provide an excellent method for understanding human aesthetic in costume.

Exposed to a great many media and technology resources, EFL students seem to lack the motivations for learning on the basis of the conventional teaching methods. For this reason, in teaching English, finding teaching methods and materials appropriate to make the learning experiences for EFL students more engaging and interesting has become more challenging than ever. This is the main reason why English language teachers always keep searching for more motivating teaching sources. Although most of course books have CD's and DVD enclosed, these turn out to be less authentic and not very engaging for students. In order to bring diversity into the classroom, many teachers use films in EFL teaching. Films are usually seen as a media that attracts students' attention and tend to present language in a more natural (interactive) way as well. What is more important is that films offer a visual context aids which help students understand and improve their reading skills. This paper analyzes the effects of using films in the EFL classroom. Moreover, It shows that films as a teaching resource play a very effective role in developing students reading and communication skill. Last but not least, mobile phones are used as a main supplementary device in that either group is recommended to watch a movie anytime and anywhere.

The purpose of this study is to find the aesthetic characteristics of costume design as mise-en-scène in movie 'The Danish Girl'. the methods of this study was carried out prior research, literature studies and qualitative research of visual content analysis by DVD. The spatial and temporal scope of the study is Copenhagen, Denmark from 1926 to 1931, and Paris, France. The styles of the times(1925 ~ 1931) and the spatial sensibilities of women's costumes in terms of form and color were examined thorough out the story. As the results, the costume are based on the 1920's Art Deco style like straight silhouette and some of them are oval soft silhouette. The colors are harmonized or in conflict based on Nordic colors such as blue-green, gray and yellow. Rather than expressing the internal conflict between the two main characters, the costume was focused on the role and character. And also exotic tastes like Japanese and Egyptian textiles patterns and decorations. Therefore, it was found that the movie costume played a role as one of the very important mise-en-scène.

A trace-and-revoke scheme is a type of broadcast encryption scheme for content protection on various platforms such as pay-per-view TV and DVD players. In 2006, Boneh and Waters (BW) presented a fully collusion-resistant trace-and-revoke scheme. However, a decisive drawback of their scheme is to require composite-order groups. In this paper, we present a new trace-and-revoke scheme that works in prime-order groups. Our scheme is fully collusion-resistant and achieves ciphertexts and private keys of size O($\sqrt{N}$) for N users. For the same level of security, our scheme is better than the BW scheme in all aspects of efficiency. Some superior features include 8.5 times faster encryption, 12 times faster decryption, and 3.4 times shorter ciphertexts. To achieve our goal, we introduce a novel technique where, by using asymmetric bilinear maps in prime-order groups, the cancellation effect same as in composite-order groups can be obtained.

본 논문에서는 IP-TV 보금을 위해서 고성능 저가의 IP-TV(Internet Protocol TV) 셋탑박스의 필요성을 감안하여 TV를 통한 인터넷 컨텐츠 이용에 최적화된 IP-TV 셋탑박스를 제조업체(Ninelanes)와 공동으로 개발하였다. 개발된 셋탑박스는 브로드밴드를 이용한 VOD서비스, 1Mbps급의 DVD급 화질을 지원하고 스트리밍 비디오와 저장된 콘텐츠를 직접 재생할 수 있다. 개발된 셋탑박스는 VHS(450kbps), DVD급(750kbps), DVD(1.2Mbps), MP3, AC3, MPEG-2/4, VP4/5/6, WMV9, DVIX 등의 다양한 디지털 미디어 재생 포맷을 지원 할 수 있도록 개발되어 가격경쟁력 향상 및 멀티미디어 지원환경 구축, 인코더방식의 코덱 전환이 가능하다. 또한 고집적, 저전력, 고성능, 저가형 개발 개념으로 개발된 이 셋탑박스는 각종 IP-TV기능을 펌웨어나 소프트웨어 수정으로 시스템 변경이 가능하여 IP-TV 셋탑박스 보급에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

최근 가정 혹은 사무실과 같은 장소에서 DVD 플레이어. 셋탑박스, MP3 플레이어 등 많은 임베디드 시스템들을 볼 수 있다. 임베디드 시스템(embedded system)이 점점 많은 분야에서 사용됨에 따라 시스템 운영을 위한 임베디드 소프트웨어들도 각 분야에 맞는 다양한 구조와 기능들이 필요하다. 하지만, 한정된 시간에 다양한 구조와 기능들을 구현해야 하는 소프트웨어 개발은 큰 어려움이 따른다. 이러한 소프트웨어 개발을 좀 더 빠르고 쉽게 하기 위해 프로파일링, 디버거 등의 도구들이 등장했다. 그 중 디버거는 개발 기간 단축을 위한 필수적인 도구이다. 기존의 디버거는 모든 변수에 대한 모니터링으로 생기는 오버헤드와 디버거 모듈을 삽입함으로써 많은 자원을 소비하는 문제가 발생한다. 한정된 자원을 사용하는 임베디드 시스템에서의 불필요한 자원소비와 복잡한 처리 등은 프로그램 강제 종료, 시스템 오작동 등의 큰 문제를 발생시키는 요인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제 해결을 위해 사용자가 원하는 변수만을 모니터링 하여 자원소모를 최소화할 수 있는 모니터링 센서 기법과 실행시간 중에 모니터링 대상을 변경하여 빠른 디버깅을 지원 하는 디버깅 레벨 기법을 제안한다.

광기록 저장매체의 기록밀도가 더욱 올라가면서 현재 콤팩트디스크나 DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)에 사용되고 있는 d=2인 코드보다는 검출성능이 좋은 d=1인 코드에 대한 관심이 점점 높아지고 있다. 광기록 저장매체에 사용할 수 있는 코드가 갖추어야할 중요한 제한조건으로는 코드열의 전력밀도가 저주파에서 충분히 억압될 수 있어야 한다는 것이다. 광자기디스크나 하드디스크에서 사용된 적이 있는 (1.7)코드는 코드자체로서 DC억압능력을 갖고있지 않다. DC를 억압시키기 위해 보통 부가비트를 일정간격으로 삽입하거나 싱크를 이용하게 되는데 이와 같은 방법으로는 충분한 DC억압이 어렵거나 기록밀도를 올리는데 불리한 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 코드열 자체로서 DC억압능력을 갖고 있는 코드워드의 생성방식과 변조 알고리즘을 RLL(1,8)인 경우를 예로 제시하였다. 또한 본 논문에서 제시한 코드의 성능에 대한 검증으로 기존의 RLL(1,8)코드(1)와 본 논문에서 제시한 코드에 4%이하의 부가비트를 삽입하여 DC억압을 수행한 뒤 동일한 기록밀도에서 DC억압성능을 비교하였을 때 저주파 대역에서 $1^{\sim}5dB$이상의 개선효과가 있었음을 확인하였다.

In recent days, research activities on multimedia services mainly focus on the multiplexing system with timing synchromization for media components, such as video, audio and text. The MPEG-4 standard emphasizes object-based coding which includes analysis and understanding of the Image content. Since in MPEG-4 we can define objects and encode them independently, we can manipulate and display each object for different applications. This feature of MPEG-4 is also vero useful for multimedia services, such as video streaming cia different network channels, digital versatile disc, internet TV, video E-mail, and so on. In this Paper, we implement a multimedia streaming system which is compliant with the MPEG-4 system and the MP4 file format.
