To obtain a good tracking performance in an optical disk drive servo system, it is essential to attenuate periodic disturbances caused by eccentric rotation of the disk. As an effective control scheme for enhancing disturbance attenuation performance, disturbance observers (DOBs) have been successfully applied to the track-following servo system of optical disk drives. In disk drive systems, the improvement of data transfer rate has been achieved mainly by the increase of disk rotational speed, which leads to the increase of the disturbance frequency. Conventional DOBs are no longer effective in disk drive systems with a high-speed rotation mechanism because the performance of conventional DOBs is severely degraded as the disk rotational frequency increases. This paper proposes a new DOB structure for effective rejection of the disturbance in optical disk drives with a very high rotation speed. Asymptotic disturbance rejection is achieved by adopting a band-pass filter in the DOB structure, which is tuned based on the information on the disturbance frequency. In addition, performance sensitivity of the proposed DOB to changes in disk rotational frequency is analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed DOB is verified through simulations and experiments using a DVD-ROM drive.

This study investigated the colors of the costumes in the film 'The Handmaiden'. The author categorized and examined the hue and tone of the main character's costume as well as provided an adjective image surveyed from the standpoint of the audience in order find if the intended story of the director is delivered to the audience through costume colors. Study method analyzed 25 set costume colors of the heroine 'Hideko'. The color analysis were analyzed by capturing DVD images that showed the costume of 'Hideko'. The colors of costumes were analyzed by recognition through the eyes based on the IRI, Hue, and Tone 120. In addition, the analysis of the IRI adjectives image were conducted through the survey. Costume hue of the heroine 'Hideko' in the film 'The Handmaiden' were black, yellow, white, green, and purple. There were many colorful costumes in the movie. Tones were very pale, deep, bright, vivid, strong, and pale. Chroma were evenly distributed and brightness were distributed in the order high, middle, and low. They were interpreted as the intention of showing the situation and psychology of 'Hideko' in various scenes of the film through various costume colors. Color images of the film 'The Handmaiden' were classified as feminine, mature, classy, delicate, classic, noble, polished, refined, showy, western, mellow, pure, and decorative.

This paper presents a tracking gain-up controller design method to control effectively the vibration of tracking actuator caused by external shocks and remaining velocity after seek control. A pole placement constraint is considered to assure a desired transient response against the vibration of tracking actuator. A loop gain-up constraint is introduced to hold the tracking gain-up loop gain and control bandwidth within allowable bounds. The pole placement constraint is expressed by a matrix inequality and the loop gain-up constraint is considered as an objective function so that genetic algorithm can be applied. Finally, a tracking gain-up controller is obtained by integrating a genetic algorithm with LMI design approach. The proposed tracking gain-up controller design method is applied to the track-following system of a DVD recording device and its effectiveness is evaluated through the experimental results.

본 논문의 목표는 개인용 리치미디어 플레이어에 대한 연구이다. 개인용 리치미디어 플레이어는 아날로그 지상파, 케이블 방송, DVD VCR등과 같은 미디어로부터 아날로그 컨텐츠를 받아 H.264 Encoder를 상용하여 디지털화하여 유무선 인터넷을 통해 개인에게 직접 재전송 해 주는 플랫폼이다. 전 세계적으로 아날로그 방송을 디지털 방송으로 전환하고 있으나, 아날로그 방송을 시청하는 사람들은 상당히 많다. 대부분의 시청자들은 집에서 TV를 통해 프로그램을 시청하고 있다. 광대역 인터넷이 일반화 되면서 많은 사람들이 인터넷상에서 UCC나 VOD서비스 같은 멀티미디어 서비스를 이용하고있다. 하지만, 이러한 서비스들은 실시간으로 방송되는 프로그램을 서비스해주지는 못하고있다. 본 논문에서 개발한 개인형 리치미디어 플레이어는 실시간 방송 프로그램을 H.264로 인코딩하여 시청자가 인터넷에 접속할 수 있는 곳이면 어디든지 인터넷상으로 방송 프로그램은 즐길 수 있다. 본 논문에서 개발한 플랫폼은 ARM CORE와 H.264 Encoder를 사용하여 실시간으로 방송 컨텐츠를 인코딩하여 RTP, RTSP Protocol을 이용하여 유무선으로 전송하게 된다. 운영체제는 uClinux 26이고 Streaming Server는 실시간으로 네트워크 상황을 인지하여 다이나믹하게 전송 레이트를 조절함으로써 QoS를 구현하고 있다.

This paper proposes a system for reducing the standby power consumption in using the consumer electronic devices such as a television, a home theater, a set-top box, or a DVD player. The system is consisted of a flyback converter, monitoring circuits, a relay and a micro-processor. The proposed system can reduce the standby power consumption by disconnecting the AC input and the consumer devices can be turned on with a remote control. The proposed standby power system consumes the low power to receive the infrared signal from the remote controller. Furthermore, a electronic double layer capacitor is used to store the energy with high efficiency. The proposed power system can operate the 플라이백 converter to charge the electronic double layer capacitor and connect the AC input to the consumer electronic devices. The proposed power circuit can reduce the standby power consumption in AV devices without increasing the cost. The prototype is implemented to verify the system with the commercialized products.

최근 TV, DVD, AV 등의 각종 가전기기가 보급되면서 사용자는 다수의 리모컨을 조작하고 기기 사이의 관계를 이해해야 다양한 서비스를 제공받을 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 사용자는 보통 기기 단위의 기능을 일일이 제어하기 보다는 간단한 조작으로 다수 기기의 기능이 복합적으로 함축된 상위수준의 서비스를 제공받기 원한다. 기존에는 다수의 기기를 조작하기 위해 각 기기의 리모컨을 물리적으로 통합한 통합 리모컨 등이 제안되었으나 고수준의 서비스를 위해서는 사용자가 각 기기를 직접 조작해야 했고, 복수의 작업을 하나의 버튼으로 수행하는 매크로 기능 등은 사용자가 직접 설계해야 하거나 직관적이지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 사용자에게 제공되는 서비스 작업 단위를 태스크로 정의하고 서비스 제공을 위해 필요한 기기 사이의 연결성과 각종 값을 내부적으로 설정하여 사용자에게 태스크 기반의 직관적인 인터페이스를 제공하는 방법을 제안한다. 기기를 일일이 조작해야 하는 기존의 통합 리모컨과 달리, 기기의 연결 상태 등을 분석하여 사용자가 이해하기 쉬운 태스크 단위로 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하고, 복수의 기기를 제어하는 작업은 기기의 상태에 따라 동작하여 사용자는 기기의 상태를 신경 쓰지 않고 서비스를 제공받는다. XML로 설계된 각 기기의 기능과 인터페이스 및 태스크의 기능과 인터페이스를 실시간으로 통합하여 현재 상태에 적적한 태스크 기반 사용자 인터페이스를 동적으로 생성한다. 본 논문에서는 사용성 평가를 통해 제안하는 방법의 유용성을 검증하였다.

초기에 하나의 상품 카테고리만을 다루던 전자상거래 사이트들이 브랜드 확립 후에 다른 상품 카테고리까지 확대해 나가는 모습을 많이 보아왔다. 고객이 아직 방문하지 않은 신규 상품 카테고리의 상품에 대하여 기존 상품 카테고리에서 만들어진 사용자 프로파일을 활용하여 개인화된 추천을 할 수 있다면, 고객이 다양한 상품 카테고리를 방문하도록 유도할 수 있을 것이다. 하지만 일반적으로 전자상거래 사이트에서는 상품 카테고리별로 사용자의 선호도를 파악하여 개인화된 추천을 수행하기 때문에, 해당 카테고리 내 상품의 구매나 방문 기록이 없다면 개인화된 추천을 수행하기가 어렵다 . 본 논문에서는 협업 필터링을 통해 신규 상품카테고리 내의 상품을 추천하기 어려운 고객들을 대상으로 기존의 사용자 선호도 데이터를 활용하여 신규 상품 카테고리 내의 상품을 추천하는 방안의 타당성을 살펴보도록 한다. 즉, 기존 사용자의 특정상품 카테고리 선호도 데이터를 통해 사용자간 유산도를 계산하고, 이를 추천하려는 타 상품 카테고리 내의 상품들에 대한 예측 선호도 계산에 활용 타당성을 살펴본다. 이를 실증적으로 검토하기 위해서, Yes24 사이트의 서적, 음반, DVD 3개의카테고리 내의 상품을 방문한 웹 패널 데이터를 이용하여 타당성 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 동일 상품 카테고리 내의 선호도 정보를 가지고 현업 필터링을 수행하는 것보다는 추천 성과가 낮았지만 활용할만한 추천 성과를 보였으며, 활용하는 상품 카테고리와 예측하는 상품 카테고리별로 추천성과가 상이했다.

In these days, small devices like smartphones, TV, and projectors are popular, and they are being developed rapidly. The projector is being used in cinema and exhibition because it makes a big screen. This feature makes new expression named projection-mapping in art world. Projection-mapping is being utilized extensively in stages of performances, and it use variety of shape's screens. But projection-mapping has limitation in space. So in this paper, we propose new performance system for projection-mapping and it make possible to overcome many difficulties. Also, we discuss the result of using the system in actual performance. We hope to develop the utilization of projection-mapping in performance.

Seoul City has been operating 17 public libraries to bridge the digital gap in the information society. Digital collection that has used recently, is providing various information services and information sources such as Internet. DVDs, satellite broadcasts and plan to offer service with more contents in the near future. In an attempt to facilitate the use of digital archives in public libraries in Seoul, this study thus applies marketing strategy to Electronic Information Center in the S Library and techniques can contribute a dynamic approach to total strategy development for library professionals that will ensure effective management and the achievement for their goals.

최근 영상을 중심으로 여러 형태의 정보를 결합하여 저장하거나 전송하는 멀티미디어가 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 현재 카메라와 관련된 동영상 캡처기술은 Motion JPEG이 주류를 이루고 있으며, 텔레비전, DMB 등의 방송 분야 및 DVD, VCR 분야에서는 MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264 및 WMV9 등의 압축 코덱이 채용되고 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 다양한 영상 표준방식은 디코딩시 호환성 문제가 발생하게 되고 이에 따라 통합 코덱 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 일반적 스텝 양자화외에 데드존 양자화를 사용하고 "$4{\times}4$", "$4{\times}8$", "$8{\times}4$", "$8{\times}8$"의 다양한 블록크기의 변환을 지원하는 VC-1을 기반으로 한 ITIQ C언어를 통해 시뮬레이션하고 최적화된 결과를 VHDL로 구현하여 향후 통합코덱 연구에 응용 가능하도록 연구 및 분석평가 하였다. 설계결과 4:2:0의 YCbCr포맷의 최초 $16{\times}16$블록을 복원하는데 483~510클록이 소요되었고 Xilinx XCVPC100 FF1696-6 환경에서 93,128개의 게이트 수와 71.469MHz의 동작속도를 나타내었다. 이는 640*480 크기의 컬러영상을 디코딩 하는데 프레임 당 최대 0.0074초가 소요됨을 의미하며 초당 30프레임의 영상에서도 0.222초면 디코딩이 가능한 결과이다.
