청정 땅콩나물 생산을 위한 종자처리기술 확립 (Establishment of Seed Treatment for Healthy Production of Peanut Sprout)

  • The present study was conducted to develop seed treatment for the production of healthy and clean peanut sprout. Dry heat treatment of peanut seeds reduced the incidence of the rot. The seed treatment condition at $52^{\circ}C$ for 10 h. was the most efficient without inhibiting seed viability significantly. Seeds were dark cultured at $27^{\circ}C$ for up to 9 days. The treatment of Indole-B and gibberellic acid influenced germination, T50, fresh, dry weight, hypocotyl length, hypocotyl length diameter, root length, number of lateral root and epicotyl of peanut sprout. There were no differences in the germinability of peanut seeds between gibberellic acid treatment methods but higher fresh weight was observed in the GA3 solution spray after 2 hour water soaking. The general growth and lateral root development of peanut sprouts were suppressed by Indole-B which is used for inhibiting root formation and promoting hypocotyls. The treatment of gibberellic acid promoted hypocotyl elongation, but it did not influence on the growth of hypocotyls and root system.

건조가열이 전분과 콩단백질 혼합물의 호화 및 노화특성과 조직감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dry Heating on the Pasting/retrogradation and Textural Properties of Starch-soy Protein Mixture)

  • 3%의 콩단백질을 첨가한 옥수수전분 용액을 건조가열 시켜 만든 시료의 호화특성, 겔의 조직감 및 노화특성에 대해 연구하였다. 건조가열로 만들어진 시료의 경우, 단순 혼합 시료보다 낮은 pasting 온도와 높은 RVA 점도들을 보였으며 유의적으로 낮은 호화엔탈피를 보였다. 높은 온도에서 건조가열한 시료(heated sample)의 경우, 낮은 온도에서 건조가열한 시료(unheated sample)보다 pasting 온도가 낮았으며 peak viscosity, breakdown viscosity가 유의적으로 높았다. 또한 pH가 증가할수록 보다 높은 점도 profile을 보였다. 가열 건조한 시료는 낮은 파괴강도 및 파괴 strain을 보였으며 pH가 높을수록 elastic modulus와 파괴강도는 감소하고 파괴 strain은 증가하였다. 콩단백질의 첨가와 더불어 건조가열은 전분의 노화방지에 도움을 주며 겔의 미세구조를 변화시켜 겔의 조직감을 변화시켰다. 전분의 호화 및 노화특성과 겔의 조직감을 콩단백질의 첨가와 더불어 건조가열과 pH 조절을 이용하여 변화시킬 수 있었으며, 이는 전분의 호화온도와 단백질의 변성온도 이하의 온도에서 건조 후 고온 건조가열을 통해 전분-단백질의 구조적 변성과 결합을 유도하여 새로운 기능성 전분을 만들 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다.

  • To apply the high chromium white cast irons for sliding parts of construction equipments, the wear characteristics of these alloys which have three kinds of microstructure(hypoeutectic, near-eutectic, hypereutectic) were investigated by dry sand/rubber wheel tester. Also, the effect of heat treatment was investigated for the same alloys. As result of the test, heat treatment have no effect on the wear characteristics. And, hypereutectic composition alloy has the highest wear resistance against SiO$_2$. Also after test, cracking was observed in eutectic and primary carbides of all materials tested. This phenomenon was important factor in the wear resistance.

  • In the present investigation wear behavior of the 6061AI composites reinforced with 5, 10, 20% SiC particles for dry sliding against a SM45C counterface was studied as a function of load and sliding velocity. Sliding wear tests were conducted at two loads(19.6 and 49N) and three sliding velocities(0.2, 1 and 2 m/sec) at constant sliding distance of 4000 m using pin-on-disk machine under room temperature. Presence of SiC reinforcement particles in the composites has displayed a transition from mild to severe wear at relatively higher applied load and sliding velocity compare to that of the matrix metal. As the volume fraction of SiC particles increased, the transition moved to a more severe wear conditions. Eventually, mild wear prevailed at a most severe wear conditions in this study, that was 49N load and 2 m/sec sliding velocity in 20% SiC particle/6061AI composite.

가열.재색변환처리 목재를 이용한 생활용품개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of living products using heat and color conversion treated woods)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the physical and mechanical properties of 6 hardwoods before and after heat treatment in an effort to produce the high quality industrial lumber product. The results were as follows. Specific gravities of green woods were in range from 0.90 to 1.10. The specific gravities of never treated woods showed higher than those of the heat treated woods. The shrinkage of heat treated woods when green to air & oven dry was significantly low, compared to never treated woods. The compression strengths parallel to grain of heat treated woods showed higher than those of never treated woods. The moduli of rupture (MOR) of never treated and heat treated woods were $176.4N/mm^2{\sim}102.8N/mm^2$ and $100.1N/mm^2{\sim}61.2N/mm^2$ respectively. MORs of heat treated woods showed lower than those of never treated woods. There was no significant change in the modulus of elasticity (MOE) before and after heat treatment.

Production of Red Ginseng Specific Ginsenosides $(Rg_2, Rg_3, Rh_1 and Rh_2)$ from Agrobacterium-transformed hairy Roots of Panax ginseng by Heat Treatment

  • It was reported that Red ginseng contains specific ginsenoside-Rg$_2$,-Rg$_3$,-Rh$_1$and -Rh$_2$, which show various pharmacological effects. However, production of these specific ginsenosides from Red ginseng is not commercially applicable because of high cost of the raw material, roots. This work was carried out to examine the production of Red ginseng specific ginsenosides from Agrobacterium-transformed hairy roots. Hairy roots were induced from 3 year-old root segment of Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) after infection with Agrobacterium rhizogenes A4. Among many lines of hairybroots, KGHR-8A was selected. Steam heat treatment of hairy roots was resulted in the changes of ginsenoside composition. Eleven ginsenosides were detected in heat-treated hairy roots but eight in freeze dried hairy roots. In heat treated hairy root, content of ginsenoside-Rb$_1$,Rb$_2$,Rc, Rd, Re, Rf, and Rg$_1$were decreased compared to those of freeze dried hairy roots. However, heat treatment strongly enhanced the amount of Red ginseng specific ginsenogides (ginsenoside-Rg$_2$,-Rg$_3$,-Rh$_1$and -Rh$_2$). Amounts of ginsenoside-Rg$_3$,-Rh$_1$and -Rh$_2$ in heat-treated hairy roots were 2.58, 3.62 and 1.08 mg/g dry wt, respectively, but these were detected as trace amount in hairy roots without heat treatment. Optimum condition of heat treatment for the production of Red ginseng specific ginsenoside was 2 h at 105$^{\circ}C$. This result represents that Red ginseng specific ginsenoside can be producted from hairy roots by steam heat treatment.

열처리 방법이 적무 새싹종자(Raphanus sativus)의 미생물 저감화 및 발아율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of heat treatments on the microbial reduction and germination rates of red radish sprout seeds (Raphanus sativus))

  • 본 연구는 환경 친화적인 새싹채소류의 고품질화를 위한 경제적이고 효율적인 살균기술을 개발할 목적으로 국내산 적무 종자의 다양한 열처리 방법에 따른 발아율과 미생물 저감효과를 조사하였다. 열수처리는 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, $90^{\circ}C$에서 각각 30, 60초간 실시하였고, 건열처리는 70, 80, 90, $100^{\circ}C$에서 5분간 실시하였다. 열수 처리에 따른 미생물의 제어효과는 시간에 따른 유의적인 차이는 보이지 않았으나, 온도변화에 따른 유의적인 차이를 나타내었다(p<0.001). $70^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 총세균수는 3 logs 이상의 감소를 보였으며, L. monocytogenes는 검출되지 않았다. 건열처리는 온도변화에 따른 유의적인 차이를 나타내었다(p<0.001). $100^{\circ}C$에서 5분간 처리한 후 총세균과 L. monocytogenes 수는 3 logs 이하 감소하였다. 열수처리에 따른 발아율의 변화는 처리 전과 후 모두 시간에 따른 유의적인 차이는 보이지 않았으나, $75^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 온도 증가에 따라 유의적으로 감소하였다(p<0.001). 한편, 열수처리 후 침지시킨 종자에서 발아가 더 촉진되는 것으로 나타났다. 건열처리에 따른 발아율은 $80^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 온도 증가에 따라 유의적으로 감소하였다(p<0.001). 건열처리한 후 증류수에 3시간 침지시킨 종자의 발아율은 $90^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 유의적으로 감소하였다(p<0.05). 결론적으로 적절한 열처리는 $75^{\circ}C$, 30분 이상의 열수처리하는 방법으로, 적무 새싹채소의 종자의 미생물학적 안전성을 증가시킴과 동시에 발아율을 증가시키는 것으로 판단된다.

  • Wear behaviour of B.390 aluminum alloy with different particle sizes of primary Si against a SM45C counterface was studied as a function of wear load and sliding velocity, using pin-on-disk apparatus under dry condition. The wear rate of specimen with fine primary Si particles showed increased wear resistance at high wear load, on the other side wear resistance of coarse primary Si particle size was improved at low wear load. As the compressive residual stress in the matrix increased remarkably by liquid nitrogen(LN) treatment, wear resistance of the LN treated specimen was more excellent than that of T6 treated specimen.

수평관 외벽에서 친수성 표면처리가 응축열전달에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Hydrophilic Surface Treatment on Condensation Heat Transfer at the Outside Wall of Horizontal Tube)

  • Condensation heat transfer characteristics have been investigated experimentally when a water vapor is condensed on the outside of a horizontal copper tube in a condenser. This problem is of particular interest in the design of a LiBr-water absorption system. Hydrophilic surface modification was performed to increase the wettability on the copper tube. The optimum hydrophilic treatment condition using acethylene and nitrogen as reaction gas is also studied in detail. The results obtained indicate that the optimum reaction gas ratio of acethylene to nitrogen for hydrophilic surface modification was found to be 7 : 3 for the best condensation heat transfer. In the wide ranges of coolant inlet temperatures, and coolant mass flow rates, both the condensation heat transfer rate and the condensation heat transfer coefficient of a hydrophilic copper tube are increased substantially, compared with those of a conventional copper tube used in a condenser. It is also found that the condensation heat transfer enhancement by the hydrophilic surface modification still emains even after a hundred cycles of wet/dry processes.
