A Study on Congestion Change of Dual Airways between Korea-China (한·중 항로 복선화 전후 혼잡도 변화 연구)

  • A significant growth in local air traffic volume is leading to airway congestion and flight delays especially for Incheon-China and Incheon-Europe sectors. A key method to increase the airway capacity is to place a supplemental airway parallel to the existing one and in cooperation between the aviation authorities between China and Korea, a dual airway track was implemented on December 6, 2018. Here, we use airline A's flight data to analyze the congestion change effect of the new airway. Results show total delay time to Europe is reduced 51% (13.4 to 6.6 minutes) as the delay distribution for 16-30 minutes, 31 minutes and greater decreased from 23.2% to 8.2% and 8.7% to 1.0% respectively. The delay to China also decreased but the drop is not as significant as flights to Europe. This is caused by the difference in flight distance, traffic volume, and characteristics of flights landing and transiting China. Flights to Europe show a broad distribution in altitude allocation and reduction in aircraft separation demonstrating the effectiveness of a dual airway track.

Gender Differences of Knee Angle in Landing From a Drop-Jump: A Kinematic Analysis (수직착지시 성에 따른 슬관절의 형상학적(kinematic) 자료 분석)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 수직착지시 성에 따른 슬관절 가동범위의 차이를 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 20대의 건강한 성인 48명(남자 25명, 여자 23명)이었다. 연구 대상자에게 40 cm 높이에서 한발로 뛰어내리도록 하고, 2차원 동작측정 기구인 CMS-HS를 이용하여 수직착지시 슬관절의 굴곡각도, 최대 슬관절 굴곡각도, 슬관절의 가동 범위, 각속도를 측정한 후, 남 여 두 집단간의 차이를 알아보았다. 이때 사용한 분석방법은 독립적인 두 표본 t-검정이었으며 축차적(stepwise) 다변량회귀분석을 이용하여 체중과 신장을 조절한 상태에서 남여 간에 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과 수직착지시 슬관절의 굴곡각도에서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 최대 슬관절 굴곡각도, 슬관절의 가동 범위, 각속도에는 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<.05). 체중과 신장이 조절된 조건 하에서 여자는 수직착지시 최대 슬관절의 굴곡각도와 슬관절의 가동범위가 남자보다 작았다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 수직착지시 여자가 남자보다 슬관절 손상의 빈도가 높은 이유 중의 하나는 여자가 슬관절을 덜 굴곡시킴으로 인해 바닥의 충격을 더 많이 받기 때문이라는 가능성을 발견하였다.

Fatigue Analysis for Levitation Rail of Urban Maglev System (도시형 자기부상열차 부상레일의 피로해석)

  • A levitation rail is placed on the top of track structure to operate Maglev vehicles and a part of track that link up with a sleeper is applied repeated load in Maglev vehicles operation. This paper aimed to verify validity of design for levitation rail, through the fatigue analysis about load which is applied to levitation rail in Maglev vehicles operation and impact load occurring in an emergency landing. Load conditions applied design load(23kN/m) in normal operation and skid drop load(24kN/m) in vehicle drop. And boundary conditions are consider bolt fixing and welding. Through static analysis, weak point and maximum stress of levitation rail could be obtained. S-N(stress-life) method was used in oder to predict fatigue life, and Goodman relationship was applied to consider a effect of mean stress. Also damage was calculated by using Miner's. As a result of fatigue analysis, levitation rail had a fatigue life which was more than requirement ($10^6$cycle) in all analysis conditions. Assumption that $10^8{\sim}10^9$cycles is infinite life, all analysis conditions had infinite life except a case under drop load and bolt fixing($1.21{\times}10^6$).

Development of Fracture-Type Protector for a Launching Reconnaissance Robot (발사형 정찰로봇을 위한 파단형 보호체 개발)

  • This paper presents the development of a fracture-type protector for carrying a reconnaissance robot to a remote target area. Instead of a conventional unlocking mechanism, a separation method based on the fracture of assembled parts was implemented in the proposed lightweight protector in order to improve the feasibility for a real battlefield. Simulations using the finite element model of the protector and the robot were performed to verify the fracture under the given loading conditions, and shock experiments using a drop table were performed to calculate shock transmittance through the protector to the robot. Several field tests for a 100-m flight proved that the proposed scenario (launching, flying, landing, and separation) was achieved successfully.

Ankle Taping and Vertical Drop Landing (발목관절의 테이핑과 수직 착지동작)

  • 발목에 대한 유착성 테이핑의 적용은 물리치료 분야와 운동 트레이닝 분야에서의 일반적인 치료 접근 방법이라 할 수 있다. 즉 발목 염좌 같은 손상을 예방하기 위한 방법과 재활의 부가적인 치료 형태로 이용될 수 있는 것이다. 본 연구는 발목의 테이핑과 트레드밀에서의 30분간 보행이 수직 착지 동작 동안 하지의 운동 역학적 요소들에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보기 위해 시행되었다. 14명의 신체 건강한 대상자들 (남:10, 여:4)이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 한발로 서있는 동안 40 cm의 높이로 뛰게 하였다. 가자미근, 전경골근, 안쪽넓은근, 넙다리 두갈래근에 근전도 전극이 부착되었다. 테이핑된 신체 부위로 착지하는 동안 근전도와 힘판(force plate) 자료가 500 Hz의 주파수로 수집되었다. 대상자들의 우세쪽 하지 발목에 테이핑을 하였고, 대상자는 한발로 뛰어 내리는 동작을 반복하였다. 트레드밀에서 30분 동안 발목에 테이핑을 한 채로 보행하였고 이후 한발로 뛰어 내리는 동작을 반복하여 수행하였다. 테이핑을 적용한 상태와 테이핑한 채로 30분 동안 트레드밀에서 걷기 운동을 한 조건에서 수직 지면 반발력의 통계학적으로 유의미한 증가가 있었다. 착지 동안에 네 가지 상황에서의 최대 내측 가속도의 유의한 차이가 있었고, 그 차이는 테이핑 전과 테이핑을 한 채로의 운동 조건에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 테이핑한 상태에서 가자미근은 접촉되는 착지 순간부터 최대 수직 지면 반발력이 나타나는 동안의 평균 근전도의 수치에 있어서 유의한 감소가 있었다. 반면에 다른 근육들에서는 아무런 변화를 보이지 않았다. 비록 발목 테이핑이 발목 손상의 위험을 줄이는데 효과적이라고 일반적으로 인식되고 있으나 이번 실험의 결과는 30분 동안의 트레드밀에서의 보행 후 테이핑은 발목의 움직임을 제한하는 효과는 있지만 한편으로는 가자미근의 활동을 감소시키는 것을 보여주었다. 따라서 이 연구의 결과는 테이핑을 하면 점프와 착지로 이어지는 동작 중에 발목관절 손상 위험을 증가시킬 가능성이 있음을 보여주었다.

Analysis and Control of Uniformity by the Feed Gate Adaptation of a Granular Spreader (입제비료 살포기의 출구조절에 의한 균일도의 분석과 제어)

  • A method was proposed which employed control of the drop location of fertilizer particles on a spinner disc to optimize the spread pattern uniformity. The system contained an optical sensor as a feedback mechanism, which measured discharge velocity and location, as well as particle diameters to predict a spread pattern of a single disc. Simulations showed that the feed gate adaptation algorithm produced high quality patterns for any given application rate in the dual disc spreader. The performance of the feed gate control method was assessed using data collected from a Sulky spinner disc spreader. The results showed that it was always possible to find a spread pattern with an acceptable CV lower than 15%, even though the spread pattern was obtained from a rudimentary flat disc with straight radial vanes. A mathematical optimization method was used to find the initial parameter settings for a specially designed experimental spreading arrangement, which included the feed gate control system, for a given flow rate and swath width. Several experiments were carried out to investigate the relationship between the gate opening and flow rate, disc speed and particle velocity, as well as disc speed and predicted landing location of fertilizer particles. All relationships found were highly linear ($r^2$ > 0.96), which showed that the time-of-flight sensor was well suited as a feedback sensor in the rate and uniformity controlled spreading system.

Functional analysis of isolated posterior cruciate ligament deficient subjects (후방 십자 인대 단독 손상 환자의 기능적 분석)

  • Purpose: To evaluate the compensatory mechanism in vivo and develop the treatment guide by performing the comprehensive functional tests of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) deficient subjects. Material and Methods: 10 PCL deficient subjects and 10 healthy control group were evaluated. Performed functional tests were range of motion, posterior drawer test, Telos, 30$^{\circ}$ flexion wt-bearing view, KT-1000 arthrometer, gait analysis, EMG test and isokinetic tests. Results: Physical, KT-1000, Telos posterior tests showed significant differences, but 300 full weight bearing lateral view, muscle strength test revealed no difference between two groups. Less knee flexion at initial contact and reduced maximum valgus moment were observed in PCL deficient group. In vertical drop landing, PCL group had increased plantar flexion angle at initial contact. Conclusion: Compensatory mechanisms such as reduced unstable components and absorbing the maximal load of the joint were occurred after PCL insufficiency, which result in good clinical and functional outcomes. Further investigations would be needed to understand the functional adaptations of PCL deficient subjects.
