  • In this paper, a driving amplifier stage with 1 Watt output has been designed and fabricated, which is operating at UHF band( 470 ∼ 806 MHz) for digital TV repeater. In the driving amplifier stage, preamplifier and 1 Watt unit amplifier are integrated by one electric substrate which is 2.53 in dielectric constant and 0.8 mm thickness. When the driving amplifier stage is flown by bias voltage of 28 V DC and current of 900 mA. it has the gain of more than 53.5 dB. the gain flatness of $\pm$0.5 dB and return loss of less than -15 dB in 470 ∼ 806 MHz. Also, when two signals at 2 MHz frequency interval are input port into the driving amplifier stage with 1 Watt output, it resulted in excellent characteristics to designed specification with showing intermodulation distortion characteristics of more than 48 dBc.

  • The development of autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology has grown rapidly in recent years. As most traffic accidents occur due to human error, self-driving vehicles can drastically reduce the number of accidents and crashes that occur on the roads today. Obviously, technical advancements in autonomous driving can lead to improved public driving safety. However, due to the current limitations in technology and lack of public trust in self-driving cars (and drones), the actual use of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) is still significantly low. According to prior studies, people's acceptance of an AV is mainly determined by trust. It is proven that people still feel much more comfortable in personalized ADAS, designed with the way people drive. Based on such needs, a new attempt for a customized ADAS considering each driver's driving style is proposed in this paper. Each driver's behavior is divided into two categories: assertive and defensive. In this paper, a novel customized ADAS algorithm with high classification accuracy is designed, which divides each driver based on their driving style. Each driver's driving data is collected and simulated using CARLA, which is an open-source autonomous driving simulator. In addition, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) machine learning algorithms are used to optimize the ADAS parameters. The proposed scheme results in a high classification accuracy of time series driving data. Furthermore, among the vast amount of CARLA-based feature data extracted from the drivers, distinguishable driving features are collected selectively using Support Vector Machine (SVM) technology by comparing the amount of influence on the classification of the two categories. Therefore, by extracting distinguishable features and eliminating outliers using SVM, the classification accuracy is significantly improved. Based on this classification, the ADAS sensors can be made more sensitive for the case of assertive drivers, enabling more advanced driving safety support. The proposed technology of this paper is especially important because currently, the state-of-the-art level of autonomous driving is at level 3 (based on the SAE International driving automation standards), which requires advanced functions that can assist drivers using ADAS technology.

  • The prediction of pedestrian trajectory is conducive to reducing traffic accidents and protecting pedestrian safety, which is crucial to the task of intelligent driving. The existing methods mainly use the past pedestrian trajectory to predict the future deterministic pedestrian trajectory, ignoring pedestrian intention and trajectory diversity. This paper proposes a multi-modal trajectory prediction model that introduces pedestrian intention. Unlike previous work, our model makes multi-modal goal-conditioned trajectory pedestrian prediction based on the past pedestrian trajectory and pedestrian intention. At the same time, we propose a novel Gate Recurrent Unit (GRU) to process intention information dynamically. Compared with traditional GRU, our GRU adds an intention unit and an intention gate, in which the intention unit is used to dynamically process pedestrian intention, and the intention gate is used to control the intensity of intention information. The experimental results on two first-person traffic datasets (JAAD and PIE) show that our model is superior to the most advanced methods (Improved by 30.4% on MSE0.5s and 9.8% on MSE1.5s for the PIE dataset; Improved by 15.8% on MSE0.5s and 13.5% on MSE1.5s for the JAAD dataset). Our multi-modal trajectory prediction model combines pedestrian intention that varies at each prediction time step and can more comprehensively consider the diversity of pedestrian trajectories. Our method, validated through experiments, proves to be highly effective in pedestrian trajectory prediction tasks, contributing to improving traffic safety and the reliability of intelligent driving systems.

  • Described in this paper is an optimal driving control algorithm which focused on the improvement of fuel economy and the minimization of pollutant emissions in the parallel type hybrid drivertrain system for transit bus. For the energy balance among components such as engine, induction machine and buttery, the algorithm for power split ration determine is proposed. When it is implemented in the hybrid electric control unit(HECU) , using the sub-optimal method and the approximate technique , it is possible to save the memory , to shorten the calculation time, and to achieve the efficient driving actually. A Shift strategy for automated manual transmission is the other side of the driving control algorithm. It enables to select the optimal gear by using several shift maps which were predefined from the proposed method in this paper, As a results of driving simulation, it is proved that these algorithms make the hybrid drivetrain system to reduce fuel consumption and emissions considerably and to have the ability to the efficient use of battery.

  • Since 2016 when the regulations related to vehicle structure and device modification were drastically revised, the car tuning market has been growing rapidly. Particularly, many drivers are showing interest in changing the interior and exterior according to their preference, or improving the specifications of their cars by changing the engine and powertrain, among others. Also, as the initial engine settings such as horse power and torque of the vehicle are made for stable driving of the vehicle, it is possible to change the engine performance, via Engine Control Unit (ECU) mapping, to the driver's preference. However, traditionally, ECU mapping could be only performed by professional car engineers and the settings were also decided by them. Therefore, this study proposed a system that collects data related to the driver's driving habits for a certain period and sends them to a cloud server in order to analyze them and recommend ECU mapping values. The traditional mapping method only aimed to improve the car's performance and, therefore, if the changes were not compatible with the driver's driving habits, could cause problems such as incomplete combustion or low fuel efficiency. However, the proposed system allows drivers to set legally permitted ECU mapping based on analysis of their driving habits, and, therefore, different drivers can set it differently according to the vehicle specifications and driving habits. As a result, the system can optimize the car performance by improving output, fuel efficiency, etc. within the range that is legally permitted.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method which can be applied to test and verify the stabilization-tracking performance of Gun/Turret Driving System(GTDS) for Light Armed Helicopter(LAH). In real system, GTDS is connected to TADS/SMC and drived to aim at the target with 20mm gun. But each equipment is separately developed during exploratory development stage, so GTDS cannot be tested under real system state. We suggest new configuration of test system for evaluating the stabilization-tacking performance, in which TADS and SMC are replaced by vision acquisition unit and processing unit, respectively.
