얇은 막재에서 주름이 파괴거동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Wrinkling on Failure Behavior of Thin Membranes)

  • 본 연구에서는 기하학적 비선형 후좌굴해석 및 전역-국지해석을 통하여 얇은 막재에서 주름이 파괴거동에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 해석에서 양단노치 및 일단노치를 가지는 사각형 인장시험 시편형상을 고려하였으며 주름이 발생한 경우와 억제된 경우에 대해 각각 해석을 수행하여 그 결과를 비교하였다. 해석결과의 분석을 통하여 주름의 발달에 따라 J-적분값의 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사하였고, 컷 길이에 따른 영향 및 시편형상의 길이 효과에 대해 체계적으로 연구하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 기하학적 초기결함을 갖는 원통형 쉘이 축방향 압축하중을 받는 경우의 탄성좌굴 신뢰성 해석을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 Donnell형의 비선형 편미분 방정식으로부터 Galerkin근사법을 사용하여 좌굴모드간의 연성효과를 고려한 불완전한 원통형 쉘의 좌굴하중을 구할 수 있는 다중모드 해석기법을 정식화하였다. 이때 기하학적 초기결함은 축대칭 및 비 축대칭 좌굴모드 형태의 이중급수로 가정하고, 각 급수의 계수는 결합정규분포특성을 갖는 확률변수로 취급하였다. 신뢰성 해석방법으로는 Monte Carlo기법을 사용하였고 초기결함의 통계적 특성의 변화에 따른 좌굴신뢰도의 변화 특성을 살펴보고 실제 경우에 적용하여 그 결과를 검토하였다.

Comparative Study on Collision Strength of LNG Carriers

  • The collision energy absorbing characteristics of side structure of the LNG carriers which have the cargo containment systems of the spherical and the membrane types are compared. A failure mechanism of the double hull side structures of 130, 000 $m^3$ class LNG carriers under sideways collision event has been simulated by using the detailed finite element calculations. In ship collision analysis, the finite element method based on explicit time integration has been use[1 with much success. Finite element modeling techniques for detail description of structural members antral ship motion regarding the dynamic behavior allowed to investigate the effect of bow shape and the initial contact position on side shell of collided ship. In the numerical simulations of the ship-to-ship sideways collision, the effect of the colliding bow shapes and the change of the colliding ship draft are investigated. The critical collision energy which is absorbed by a side structure of a collided ship until the fore-end of colliding ship arrives at the boundary of the cargo tank is calculated. The critical speed of specified colliding ships which can not penetrate the boundary of the LNG cargo tank of the collided ship under collision accident if evaluated.

산화아연 나노선과 나노튜브의 구조 및 탄성계수에 관한 원자단위 연구 (Atomistic simulation of structural and elastic modulus of ZnO nanowires and nanotubes)

  • The structural stability and the elastic modulus of hexagonal ZnO nanowires and nanotubes are investigated using atomistic simulations based on the shell model. The ZnO nanowire with (10-10) facets is energetically more stable than that with (11-20). Our calculations indicate that the structural change of ZnO nanowires with (10-10) facets is sensitive to the diameter. With decreasing the diameter of ZnO nanowires, the unit-cell length is increased while the bond-length is reduced due to the change of surface atoms. Unlike the conventional layered nanotubes, the energetic stability of single crystalline ZnO nanotubes is related to the wall thickness. The potential energy of ZnO nanotubes with fixed outer and inner diameters decreases with increasing wall thickness while the nanotubes with same wall thickness are independent of the outer and inner diameters. The transformation of single crystalline ZnO nanotubes with double layer from wurtzite phase to graphitic suggests the possibility of wall-typed ZnO nanotubes. The size-dependent Young's modulus for ZnO nanowires and nanotubes is also calculated. The diameter and the wall thickness play a significant role in the Young's modulus of single crystalline ZnO nanowires and nanotubes, respectively.

EXPANSION VELOCITY AND SPECTROSCOPIC CLASSIFICATION OF NOVA DELPHINI 2013

  • Low resolution spectra of Nova Delphini 2013 (V339 Del) in the optical range have been obtained at Bosscha Observatory, Indonesia during its maximum light (V = 4.3). Spectra were observed from August 16 to 27, 2013. The GAO-ITB RTS 20.3 cm telescope, and SBIG DSS-7 spectrograph and SBIG ST-7 XE as the detector have been employed throughout the observations. The spectra show P-Cygni profiles in Balmer, NaI'D' and Fe II lines, from which we determined shell expansion velocities of $1421.66{\pm}39.18km/s$, $1227.54{\pm}21.57km/s$ and 1402.86 km/s, respectively. Our spectroscopic observations followed the spectral evolution of V339 Del from the pre-maximum phase to early Orion phase. The characteristics of the nova Delphini 2013 resembles those of Fe II-type novae.

초전도 변압기 교류 손실 해석 (Analysis of AC Losses in HTS Transformer with Double Pancake Windings)

  • AC loss is one of the important parameters in (High Temperature Superconducting)HTS AC devices. Among the HTS AC power devices, the transformer is the essential part in the electrical power system. But unfortunately, the transformer is the worst HTS device concerning AC loss because of very large magnetization loss due to high magnetic field applied to the HTS wire. We calculated the magnetization losses in HTS pancake windings for transformer according to the operating temperature. Two kinds of arrangement of HTS pancake windings were adopted for calculation of AC losses of a shell type transformer, and the analysis results were presented and discussed.

Galvanic Corrosion Between Component Parts of Aluminum Alloys for Heat Exchanger of Automobile

  • There are a variety of heat exchangers used in automobiles, such as shell and tube heat exchangers, double tube heat exchangers, and plate heat exchangers. Most of them are water-cooled to prevent engine overheating. There have been reports of corrosion damage to these heat exchangers due to continuous wetting caused by external temperature differences, road pollutants, and snow removal. In addition, galvanic corrosion, which occurs when two dissimilar materials come into contact, has been identified as a major cause. In this study, corrosion characteristics and galvanic corrosion behavior of Al alloy (AA3003, AA4045 and AA7072) used in automobile heat exchangers were analyzed. Effective clad materials for heat exchanger tubes and fins were also evaluated. It was found that AA7072 should be applied as the cladding material for fin AA3003 and that AA4045 was suitable as a cladding material for tube AA3003 because this clad materials application was the most effective clad design to delay the occurrence of pinhole in the tube. Main factors influencing galvanic corrosion dissolution were found to be galvanic corrosion potential difference and galvanic corrosion current density.

육성수조 내 북방전복, Haliotis discus hannai 치패 고밀도 중간양성 사육방식별 성장특성 (Growth Characteristics of Juvenile Abalone, Haliotis discus hannai by Reared Methods in order to High Density Intermediate Culture in Land-based Tank)

  • 본 연구는 북방전복 육상 수조 내 고밀도 중간양성 방법을 모색하기 위해 부착면적 확대를 위해 다단식 shelter 설치와 수조 내 중층 이상의 가두리를 설치하여 성장을 비교하고 아울러 전복류 육상 양성방법인 'shallow race way' 국내 도입 가능성을 조사하였다. Shelter 실험구는 PE (polyethylene) 재질의 shelter ($63{\times}98cm$) 1층형 (the single layer shelter, SLS), 2층형 (the double layer shelter, DLS), 3층형 (the triple layer shleter, TLS) 과 육상 가두리 양성방식 (the single layer shelter and net cage culture, SLSNC), 그리고 'shallow race way' 방식을 polyvinyl chloride (PVC)로 제작하여 고랑수로양성 (culture of the ditch raceway tank, CDRT)과 편평한 수로양성 (culture of the floor raceway tank, CFRT) 방식을 설정하였으며, 실험구는 모두 2반복으로 실시되었다. 각 실험구별 SLS 기준 60%밀도로 수용한 실험 전복 (최초 수용 시 평균각장 $25.19{\pm}0.50mm$, 중량 $1.93{\pm}0.14g$), 성장에서 각장의 절대성장율 (absolute growth rate, ARG), 일간성장율 (daily growth rate, DGR) 및 순간성장율 (specific growth rate, SGR) 과 중량의 증중률 (weight gain, WG), 일간증중률 (daily weight gain, DWG) 에서 SLSNC 제외한 모든 실험구가 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 그리고 생존율에서는 CDRT와 CFRT가 유의적으로 낮았다 (P < 0.05). 따라서 shelter를 이용하여 부착면적을 확대한 고밀도 전복치패 육상 중간육성 사육 시 단층과 다단층에서 성장과 생존율에서 차이가 없으며, 호주 등에서 사용되는 shelter 없는 'shallow race way'의 얇은 수심사육은 국내 북방전복 육상 중간양성 방식으로 도입하기에 적합하지 않는 것으로 판단된다.

무금형 다점 펀치를 사용한 선체외판의 분할 성형 가공 정보 계산 시스템 개발 (Mechanical Bending Process and Application for a Large Curved Shell Plate by Multiple Point Press Machine)

  • As a forming method for curved hull plates more efficient than the flame bending, mechanical bending using multi point press forming and die-less forming is discussed in this paper. the mechanical forming is a flexible manufacturing system for automatically forming of hull parts. It is especially suited to varied curved parts. This paper discusses a multiple point pressing machine composed of a pair of reconfigurable punches in order to achieve the rapid forming of curved hull plates using division forming and presents how forming information is obtained from the given design surface. Although the mechanical forming can be efficient in the metal forming, spring back after pressing is a phenomenon which must be carefully considered when quantifying the process variables. If the spring back is not accurately controlled, the fabricated shell plate cannot meet assembly tolerance. This paper describes the principles to calculate the proper stroke of each punch at the divided areas. the strokes are determined by an iterative process of sequential pressing and spring back compensation from an unfolded flat shape to its given design surface. FEA(finite element analysis) is used to simulate the spring back of the plate and the IDA(iterative displacement adjustment) method adjusts the offset of pressing punches from the deformation results and the design surface. The shape deviations of two surfaces due to spring back are compensated by integrated system using FEA and IDA method. For the practical application, It is aimed to develop an integrated system that can automatically perform the compensation process and calculate strokes of punches of the double sides' reconfigurable multiple-press machine and some experimental results obtained with mechanical bending are presented.

LNG외조를 구성하는 샌드위치 콘크리트 패널의 충돌거동해석 (Collision Behaviors Analysis of Sandwich Concrete Panel for Outer Shell of LNG Tank)

  • 본 연구에서는 LNG 저장시설의 외조를 구성하는 SCP(sandwich concrete panel)에 대한 충돌해석을 수행하고 그 거동을 분석하였다. 설계기준 중 하나인 BS7777에서 제시하는 충돌에너지와 동일한 값을 갖도록 두 종류의 충돌체와 다양한 충돌속도를 이용하여 충돌조건을 구성하고 이에 대한 비선형동적 해석모델을 구성하여 설정된 충돌조건에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 또한 1차 충돌 후에 동일한 지점에 같은 충돌에너지를 가진 2차 충돌이 일어나는 것을 가정하여 충돌거동을 분석하였다. 해석결과 동일한 충돌에너지를 갖는 충돌에서 충돌체의 크기가 작고, 충돌속도가 작을수록 큰 변형이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 충돌에너지는 외측강판과 내부 충진콘트리트가 6:4정도의 비율로 소산시키는 것으로 나타났다. 중복충돌해석에서는 2차 충돌체의 크기에 따라 최종충돌변형이 지배되는 것으로 나타났고 2차 충돌에 의한 변형량은 1차 충돌에 비하여 적은 값을 나타냈는데 이는 강판의 막거동 때문인 것으로 분석되었다. 이격된 중복충돌에서는 이격위치와 관계없이 2차 충돌점에서 가장 큰 변형이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다.
