  • This paper proposes a new invention of the integrated generator converter system for the HVDC transmission. And it analyses the general formula for eddy currents in the rotor iron using the double Fourier series in order to trace the smallest eddy current losses of the system which connects a new designed synchronous generator windings or conventional synchronous generator windings with the v Graetz bridges.

  • This paper is prepaped, based upon its foundation of the design, first studying the rotor impedance of single and double layer cylindrical induction motor with solid iron rotor, and then inducing torque equation, from it. Classified were some design factors for this design from the result for above and there carried out the evidence of these design and theory after making experimental motors with solid iron rotors and examining torque characteristics.

  • Implementation of fuzzy controller for the rotor side converter of a utility-connected double-fed induction generator (DFIG) for wind power generation systems (WPGS) described in this paper. In the control schemes, real and reactive powers (PQ) at the stator side of DFIG are strictly controlled to supply the power to the grid. A TMS320VC33 DSP is selected as the controller of this system.

  • This paper proposes a double-phase-locked-loop (PLL) to improve the performance of position estimation in hall sensor-based permanent magnet synchronous motor control. In hall sensor-based control, a PLL is normally used to estimate the rotor position. The proposed Double-PLL consists of two PLLs, including a reset type integrator. The motor control is more accurate and has better performance than conventional PLL, such as a small estimated position ripple. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulations and experiments.

  • The dynamic design object of rotor system is to optimize the system in stability at the operating speed, unbalance response in the vicinity of the rotor critical speed, bearing weighting and system weighting. In conventional optimization method, designers have to set mathematical modeling, such as objective function, constraints and design parameters, strictly and quantitavely. But in actual design process, they do not treat all of these values strictly and some of them are somehow "fuzziness". So, considering boundary conditions of seal diameter, clearance, and length in a typical double suction centrifugal pump is fuzzy, this paper is considered fuzzy in constraints. Fuzzy method is used .alpha.-level cut method. Then, the optimum dimensions of seal according to values are obtained and vibration characteristics are investigated.estigated.

  • This paper presents a developed squired cage induction motor for axial flow fan. The developed squirrel cage induction noter for axial flow fan is exchanged the position, rotor and stater. In this method a fan blade is attached to outside rotor. So we can protect the motor from rain and reduce noise, and there is no need to have bending duct to locate the fan motor. Carried out experimental test with this induction motor, and the results were as follows. Starting torque was 21kgㆍcm@120V, maximum efficiency was 0.84@120V. The characteristics of tests were the same as double squirrel-cage type IM.

  • This paper describes the sensorless technique for the surface-mounted permanent-magent synchronous motor(SPMSM or PMSM) drive based on magnetic saliency. The control technique is a sensorless control algorithm that injects the high frequency voltage to the stator terminal in order to estimate the rotor position and speed. The rotor position and speed for sensorless vector control is achieved by appropriate signal processing to extract the position information from the stator current in the low speed range including zero speed. Proposed sensorless algorithm using the double-band hysteresis controller and initial rotor position detection exhibits excellent reference tracking and increased robustness. Experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed control schemes.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of a single phase induction motor which is considered the space harmonic flux by the double revolving field theory is analysed. As the rotor resistance for the fundamental flux is separated from the resistance for the rotor bar and end-ring, and the rotor leakage reactnace is separated from the skew leakage reactance and the other, so the circuit constants for the space harmonic flux is expressed by the circuit constants for the fundamentals. As the ratio of the circuit constants for the magnetizing reactance is used, the generalized equivalent circuit is made up. the characteristic equation which is able to analysis the subdivided characteristics by the above circuit is induced. The ratio of the circuit constants and the skew angle being changed, the variations of the torque-speed characteristics for the fundamentals and harmonics is examined by this equation.

  • This paper covers starting characteristics and design of wound motor induction rmtor can used to double excited induction mootor. They are employing in many electrical equiprrent system of industrial field The stator is satre as that of conventional induction motor. But rotor was rewind with new style, as result both of starting torque and operating efficiency could be high, But starting current could be small. Could obtain the satre result as that of conventional induction rmtor with external resistance on the rotor. The structure could be simple, system cost could be low and the maintanence free, Because of no slip rings, no brushes and no external resistance.stance.

  • A numerical investigation was performed to determine the effect of airfoil on the optimum flap height using NACA 0021 Wells turbine. The five double flaps which have 0.5% chord height difference were selected. A Navier-Stokes code, FLUENT, was used to calculate the flow field of the Wells turbine. The basic feature of the Wells turbine is that even though the cyclic airflow produces oscillating axial forces on the airfoil blades, the tangential force on the rotor is always in the same direction. Geometry used to define the 3-D numerical grid is based upon that of an experimental test rig. This paper tries to analyze the optimum double flap of Wells turbine with the numerical analysis.
