네트워크형 복층 도로터널 환기에서의 충격 손실 평가를 위한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis on the Estimation of Shock Loss for the Ventilation of Network-type Double-deck Road Tunnel)

  • 과거 도로터널 환기에 있어서 충격 손실은 설계에 반영되지 않았지만, 터널 내 네트워크형 구조로 인해 분기 합류부가 존재하는 복층 도로터널에서는 충격 손실에 의한 압력 손실이 크게 발생할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 네트워크형 구조를 가지는 복층 도로터널 최적 환기 설계를 위하여 분기 합류 지점에서 발생하는 충격 손실에 대한 3D 전산유체역학(CFD) 수치해석 연구를 수행한다. 이를 위해 복층 도로터널 표준단면을 적용한 실제 스케일 모델을 활용하여 전산 유체 역학을 수행하였고 다양한 각도와 차도폭에 대한 충격 손실 계수를 도출하여 기존의 설계 값과 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 분기 구간에서는 30도의 분류 각도를 가진 모델의 충격 손실 계수가 높게 측정되었고, 합류 구간에서는 2차선으로 설계된 모델의 충격 손실 계수가 낮게 측정됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 분기 합류 각도와 차도폭이 충격 손실 산정에 있어서 중요한 설계 요소가 될 수 있으므로 환기기 용량 산정에 있어서 정확한 설계 인자를 제시할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 3D 전산유체역학(CFD)를 활용하여 확폭 교차 유 무에 따른 분기 합류 지점에서의 충격 손실 계수를 도출하고, ASHRAE 설계 값과 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 확폭 구간이 반영되지 않은 모델은 ASHRAE 값에 비해 최대 3배의 충격 손실 값을 확인하였고, 확폭 구간이 반영된 모델은 최대 2배의 값을 확인할 수 있었다.

균일전력 릴레이 선택방식을 적용한 이중 기회전송 협동 다이버시티 시스템의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of a Double Opportunistic Cooperative Diversity System with Uniform Power Relay Selection)

  • 애드혹 네트워크에서는 협동 다이버시티를 적용하여 네트워크의 전력소모를 줄이고, 통달거리의 확장 및 시스템의 성능을 향상시키고 있다. 그러나 가장 큰 신호 대 잡음비(SNR, Signal-to-noise ratio)을 갖는 릴레이를 선택하여 송신하는 선택 릴레이 협동 다이버시티 방식은 느린 페이딩 채널에서 특정 릴레이가 계속 송신하므로 네트워크의 생존시간을 줄이게 된다. 그러므로 최근에 네트워크의 생존 시간을 늘이기 위하여 균일전력 릴레이 선택방식이 연구되었다. 본 논문에서는 소스-릴레이 및 릴레이-목적지간의 수신 신호 대 잡음비가 일정수준 이상이 되는 릴레이를 선택하여 송신할 수 있는 하는 이중 기회전송 협동 다이버시티(DOT, Double opportunistic cooperative diversity) 시스템에 균일전력 릴레이 선택방식을 적용하고 시스템의 성능을 유도하였다. 유도한 결과는 선택결합(SC, Selection combining) 방식과 최대비 합성결합(MRC, Maximal ratio combining) 방식과 비교하였다. 균일전력 릴레이 방식을 사용하였을 때 다른 방식에 비해서 시스템의 성능저하가 있었는데, 이는 네트워크의 생존 시간을 늘이기 위해서 릴레이에 균일한 송신기회를 주었기 때문으로 해석되었다.

Narrowband Signal Localization Based on Enhanced LAD Method

  • In this paper, an enhanced localization algorithm based on double thresholds (LAD) is proposed for localizing narrowband signals in the frequency domain. A simplified LAD method is first studied to reduce the computational complexity of the original LAD method without performance loss. The upper and lower thresholds of the simplified LAD method are directly calculated by running the forward consecutive mean excision algorithm only once. By combining the simplified LAD method and binary morphological operators, the enhanced LAD method is then proposed and its performance is simply discussed. The simulation results verify the correctness of discussion and show that the enhanced LAD method is superior to the LAD with adjacent cluster combining method, especially at low signal-to-noise ratio.

터보분자펌프의 성능해석에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A numerical study of the performance of a turbomolecular pump)

  • In the free molecular flow range, the pumping performance of a turbomolecular pump has been predicted by calculation of the transmission probability which employs the integral method and the test particle Monte-Carlo method. Also, new approximate method combining the double stage solutions, so called double-approximation, is presented here. The calculated values of transmission probability for the single stage agree quantitatively with the previous known numerical results. For a six-stage pump, the Monte-Carlo method is employed to calculate the overall transmission probability for the entire set of blade rows. When the results of the approximate method combining the single stage solutions are compared with those of the Monte-Carlo method at dimensionless blade velocity ratio C=0.4, the previous known approximate method overestimates as much as 34% than does the Monte-Carlo method. But, the new approximate method gives more accurate results, whose relative error is 10% compared to the Monte-Carlo method, than does the previous approximate method.

이중 효용과 일중 효용을 복합한 다단 재생 고효율 흡수식 냉동 사이클 개발 (Development of High Efficiency Cycle by Combining Double-Effect with Single-Effect Absorption Chiller Systems)

  • Recently, development efforts of triple-effect absorption chiller have been increased in order to improve the efficiency of double-effect absorption chiller. However, triple-effect absorption chiller has some disadvantages, including high corrosion characteristic of LiBr solution at high temperature of $200^{\circ}C$. Moreover, it is necessary to develop new components for operation under high pressure of 2 bars even though COP is increased to 1.6 or 1.7. The objective of this study was to introduce a new system by combining double effect absorption chiller with single effect absorption chiller with multi-generators using bypass flow of LiBr dilute solution to $3^{rd}$ generator to overcome the disadvantages of triple-effect chiller and improve energy efficiency. Results indicate that the new absorption cycle had a much higher efficiency than double-effect chiller system, showing significant improvement when bypass solution flow rate of 25% was applied to the $3^{rd}$ generator using the main dilute solution of the absorber. The COP of the new chiller system was found to be 1.438, which was 21.7% higher than that (1.18) of the present double-effect system. The COP was decreased when solution by-pass rate to the $3^{rd}$ generator was increased. In addition, lower cooling water temperature caused higher COP. Therefore, the multi-generator system with by-pass solution might be an excellent chiller alternative to triple-effect absorption chiller with higher efficiency.

  • Orientational alignment patterns proved that they are very useful for realizing diverse properties of liquid crystals. Here we tried to produce the patterns combining interfered laser light and double irradiations. A photo-isomerizable polymer doped with azo dye, which induce uniform liquid crystal alignment to the uniform laser irradiation, was used as the alignment layer. Double irradiations into two orthogonal directions brought the orientation patterns similar to the checkerboard. It indicates the possibility of bistability on those patterns.

  • This paper presents wavelet-based moving object segmentation using double change detection and background registration. Three successive frame differences for detection change were used in the wavelet domain. The background was constructed with the wavelet coefficients in the lowest frequency subband which are the approximated version of an image. Combining double change detection and background registration, we can obtain an efficient moving object segmentation algorithm.

Efficient Compression Schemes for Double Random Phase-encoded Data for Image Authentication

  • Encrypted images obtained through double random phase-encoding (DRPE) occupy considerable storage space. We propose efficient compression schemes to reduce the size of the encrypted data. In the proposed schemes, two state-of-art compression methods of JPEG and JP2K are applied to the quantized encrypted phase images obtained by combining the DRPE algorithm with the virtual photon counting imaging technique. We compute the nonlinear cross-correlation between the registered reference images and the compressed input images to verify the performance of the compression of double random phase-encoded images. We show quantitatively through experiments that considerable compression of the encrypted image data can be achieved while security and authentication factors are completely preserved.

Hybrid-type stretchable interconnects with double-layered liquid metal-on-polyimide serpentine structure

  • We demonstrate a new double-layer structure for stretchable interconnects, where the top surface of a serpentine polyimide support is coated with a thin eutectic gallium-indium liquid metal layer. Because the liquid metal layer is constantly fixed on the solid serpentine body in this liquid-on-solid structure, the overall stretching is accomplished by widening the solid frame itself, with little variation in the total length and cross-sectional area of the current path. Therefore, we can achieve both invariant resistance and infinite fatigue life by combining the stretchable configuration of the underlying body with the freely deformable nature of the top liquid conductor. Further, we fabricated various types of double-layer interconnects as narrow as 10 ㎛ using the roll-painting and lift-off patterning technique based on conventional photolithography and quantitatively validated their beneficial properties. The new interconnecting structure is expected to be widely used in applications requiring high-performance and high-density stretchable circuits owing to its superior reliability and capability to be monolithically integrated with thin-film devices.

  • 살아있는 생명체는 세포로 구성되며 성장 분열을 통해 스스로 복제할 수 있는 능력을 지녔다. DNA상의 변이, 즉 돌연변이는 자손의 생존과 번식에 불리하게 작용할 수 있고 이점을 줄 수 있는 양면성을 지녔다. 본 연구에서는 DNA 이중나선은 복제 주형으로 사용되기 위해서는 먼저 이중나선이 열리고 단일 가닥으로 분리되어야 한다. 이중 나선구조결합에서의 결합의 오류부분의 위치를 찾아내고 복구하는 방법을 제시한다.
