  • In this work, appearance part of dot gain, and relationship between ton jump and dot gain was studied using the round dot, the square dot, the line dot and the elliptical dot. Each dot pattern were different that was the conners of the round dot touch at 78%, the corners of the square dot and the line dot touch at 100% and the corners of the elliptical dot touch at approximately 40~60%. The result of this work, when the corners join between dots take place tone scale jump and dot gain, and different position of dot gain in each dot patterns.

  • In a drop-on-demand thermal ink-jet printer, the dot size of an ink droplet expelled from a printer depends on the absorption of the paper. This causes severe differences between output images on the different paper materials. In this paper, the color matching algorithm for different papers is proposed. To achieve corresponding color reproduction, dot gain compensatio nbased on saturation was applied to predict color reproduction on a printer. If the dot gain of pigment increases, the white portion of paper decreases while the saturation value increases monotonically. As the results of dot gain compensation, intensity change may appear. Therefore, an intensity compensation without any hue variation is followed to match the colors of different subtrates.

  • In this paper, the quantity of dot gain in off-set printing is estimated by using the method of UCR(under color removal) and GCR(gray component replacement) and the degree of dot gain is researched through measurement of dot coverage of each color patch at the output film that is variously applied to discretionary quantity of dot gain each line in screen in the printing for the process of color separation and at the offset printing. Also, the best appropriate quantity of dot gain treatment is examined by printing each line in screen for reproduction of colors.

  • To investigate relations between Grain-shape of plate and Dot-Gain in the lithography, Printing plates were made by Mechanical Grain, Brush Grain and Electrolytic Grain method.Fine multi-grain by electrolytic method of them resulted in less Dot-grain on the paper, more damping water on the none image part of printing plate.

  • Voltage step-down characteristics in Ring/Dot type piezoelectric transformer were examined as a function of the area of input electrode when the area of output electrode is fixed. The effects of driving frequency and load resistance on the voltage step-down characteristics were also examined. Voltage gain was greatly dependent on the driving frequency and load resistance, and showed a maximum gain at resonance frequency of the step-down transformer. The frequency where the maximum cutout voltage appears increased about 0.2% as the load resistance increased from 10 to 150 Ω. As the area of input electrode increased, the voltage gain and the efficiency of the transformer increased. Frequency dependence of efficiency of the step-down transformer revealed a similar tendency with the voltage gain curves. The maximum efficiency remarked 94% when the input voltage and the load resistance were 20 Vpp and 120 Ω, respectively.

  • An accurate characterization of the display device is essential for better color matching. The calibration and characterization process in display device is needed to transform the device dependent color to the device independent color. The process of characterization performs a linearization and transforms the linearized values into the CIE XYZ tristimulus values. The purposes of this paper is to propose optimal color transformation method for accurate reproduction of original copy in display device and to explain the propriety of transformation method using specific variable for the power of gradation expression.

  • This paper proposed correction tone density eq. and dot area eq. for perdict tone reproduction when dot gain is constant, and these are based on Yule & Nielson`s tone density equation. The experimental results show that proposed coreaction tone density eq. and dot area eq. are useful and valid for perdict tone reproduction of a half-tone image.

  • Materials used for the inks in the printing industry is an important material following the paper. The composition of the ink is pigment and organic solvents. However, Ink is used in a variety of chemicals, they are classified as non-green. Therefore, rosin-modified phenolics manufactured by the reaction of phenol and formaldehyde can take the place of eco-phenol free resin and by experiment density, gloss, trapping, contrast and dot gain of printing has been studied as printability. The result of study can support that the properties of printing using eco-phenol free resin such as density, gloss, contrast and trapping is similar to existing ink. In the part of dot gain, the result is excellent. So we were thought to be able to improve some characteristics such as dispersion of black ink, that will be possible for the field applicability.

  • 무선 Ad-Hoc 네트워크는 전력제한을 갖기 때문에 네트워크의 소모 전력을 최소화 하는 것이 최근의 연구 주제 중 하나이다. 본 논문은 최근에 제안된 수신가지 수가 제한된 이중기회전송 릴레이 시스템의 전력 소모를 줄이고, 시스템의 성능을 개선하기 위하여 각 송신 노드의 최적 전력 분배방식을 제안하고 시스템의 성능을 유도하였다. 분석결과 각 송신 노드가 동일한 전력으로 송신할 경우보다 각 송신노드에 최적의 전력을 할당한 경우가 오수신율이 항상 우수함을 보였고, 또한 평균 채널전력 이득이 작을 경우 평균 송신 릴레이 수를 증가시켜 다이버시티 이득을 크게 함으로써 오수신율을 최소화 하는 것을 알 수 있었다.
