The survey of weed community in paddy field was carried out to investigate the changes of weed species on 340 fields in Kyonggi Area in 1995, that is almost same condition as sampled in 1991. The weed species observed include 3 species of grasses, 5 species of sedges and 14 species of broadleaf and other weed. Herbicide treatment system in one time treatment vs more than two time treatment was 34:66 percentage. About 25 percentage among one time treatment system was used butachlor G. Ratio of annual weed vs perennial weed was 38:62, and then perennial weed ratio was high. Major dominant weed species were Sagitaria trifolia, Eleocharis kuroguwai, Echinochloa crus-galli, Bidens tripartita and Monochoria vaginalis. Weed occurrence was decreased as order of normal soil, poorly drained soil and saline soil. Dormant weed species were S. trifolia, E. kuroguwai, E. crus-galli and B. tripartita in normal soil and were S. trifolia, E. kuroguwai, E. crus-galli and Polygonium hydropiper in poorly drained soil, and were Scirpus planiculmis, S. trifolia and E. kuroguwai in saline soil. Weed occurrence was increased with delaying the transplanting time; dominant weed species were S. trifolia, E. kuroguwai, E. crus-galli and M. vaginalis in May transplanting field and were E. kuroguwai, S. trifolia, and C. serotinus in June transplanting field. Weed occurrence was decreased as order of non-plowing transplanting field, autumn plowing and spring plowing paddy field. Dominant weed species were S. trifolia, E. kuroguwai, E. crus-galli and M. vaginalis in autumn plowing, were S. trifolia, E. kuroguwai, E. crus-galli and B. tripartita in spring plowing, and were E. crus-galli, S. hotarui and S. trifolia in non-plowing transplanting field.

According to current digital and information society, architecture related departments in universities give and educate computer courses to train top-level human resources suiting the needs of the time. The aim of this study is to curriculum of architecture related departments and to use the references for curriculum organization by understanding computer courses for architecture related departments. The results are as follows: (1) There are 100 departments (28.2%) in the field of architecture and 130 departments including an academic system that is the most departments. Also, there are 86 departments (39.8%) in the field of architecture engineering and 117 departments including an academic system. There are 77 departments in the field of interior architecture, which contain 48 departments (62.3%) of two- or three-year bachelor course college. (2) Department in the field of architecture opens a program study course in the second year of the program that is the most courses had been opened. First, most departments selected an order of learning a structure/detail construction techniques of architecture and design skills such as a foundation system and expression of the structure by hand in the first grade and processing it using a computer in the second grade. (3) BIM was opened in only three departments of 31 departments surveyed and was opened in a senior class. The reasons of still lack of BIM are the compatibility deficit of partners such as building structure, building equipment, securing lecturer, and still the dominant point of CAD in the field. (4) Six departments of 31 departments surveyed did not open a program study course as a major. That is to say, it is learned in a basic course or basic liberal arts education requirements (information area) of each department, or in an own program of each department. (5) The program study is only a means to create architectural drawings in department of the field of architecture. Thus, we should remember not only the drawing through the program but also drawing up a floor plan after understanding of methods such as constructional methods, detail drawing, and expression.

We investigated phytoplankton and vertical inorganic nutrients at two stations around water of Ulleungdo and Dokdo in the East Sea, Korea. Nutrient addition experiments (+N, +P, +NP and +Fe) were also conducted to determine the growth response and nutrient consumption of the phytoplankton assemblage using the surface water of St. UD3 and St.50. In the field, although inorganic nutrients were low in the euphotic layer, these nutrients were increased at depths below 100 m. The total phytoplankton abundances in St. UD3 and St.50 were $4.9{\times}10^5cells\;L^{-1}$ and $1.9{\times}10^5cells\;L^{-1}$, respectively. The dominant species at St. UD3 was observed to be Raphidophyta Heterosigma akashiwo, Cryptophyta Crytomonas spp., and diatom Leptocylindrus danicus, while L. danicus and H. akashiwo including small diatom species Chaetoceros socialis were dominant at St. 50. In the nutrient addition experiments, phytoplankton growth (in vivo flourescence) in the +N and +NP treatment was 2-3 times higher than that in the +P treatment, indicating that the natural phytoplankton can respond to pulsed nutrient loading events. In addition, in vivo fluorescence in +Fe treatment was not statistically (p>0.05) different from that of the non-Fe treatments, indicating that the phytoplankton growth response in +Fe treatment was not significant. Dominant H akashiwo and L. danicus in the field showed a rapid response in nutrient additional bio-algal assay, particularly L. danicus in the +Fe treatments.
This study was conducted to compare the community structure and biodiversity of arthropods between conventional and organic red pepper fields. A total of 36 species of 24 families belonging to 10 orders from collected 28,718 arthropods; 6,901 individuals from conventional field and 21,871 individuals from organic field. A number of species comprising arthropod community was same in both fields as 32 species. Species richness of Diptera was the highest in conventional field and that of Hymenoptera and Colembolla was the highest in organic field. Abundance of Frankliniella intonsa was the highest regardless of farming method. Helicoverpa assulta was dominant in conventional field, and Homidia mediaseta, Diptera sp. 4 and Pardosa astrigera were dominant in organic field. Diversity of community on the ground was higher in organic field and statistically different. Similarity of arthropod community showed difference with 34.07% on the ground and 26.95% in the plant above ground. In the ecologically functional guild: species richness of general, pest and parasitoid of natural enemy groups in the plant above ground were statistically different and pest and parasitoid groups were higher in organic field, abundance of predator group of natural enemy on the ground was 2 times higher in organic field and statistically different and diversity of general and parasitoid groups in the plant above ground were statistically different. In the relative occupancy rate, pest group was the highest in conventional field and decomposer group was the highest in organic field. The results of present study is considered to provide useful information of arthropod community for developing efficient insect pest management in organic farming.
Centrifugal fans are widely used and the noise generated by these machines causes one of the most serious problems. In general, the centrifugal fan noise is often dominated by tones at BPF(blade passage frequency) and its higher harmonics. This is a consequence of the strong interaction between the flow discharged from the impeller and the cutoff in the casing. However, only a few researches have been carried out on predicting the noise due to the difficulty in obtaining detailed information about the flow field and casing effects on noise radiation. The objective of this study is to develop a prediction method for the unsteady flow field and the acoustic pressure field of a centrifugal fan and to calculate the effects of rotating velocity, flow rate, cut-off distance and the number of blades and its effects on the noise of the fan. We assume that the impeller rotates with a constant angular velocity and the flow field around the impeller is incompressible and inviscid. So, a discrete vortex method (DVM) is used to model the centrifugal fan and to calculate the flow field. The force of each element on the blade is calculated with the unsteady Bernoulli equation. Lowson's method is used to predict the acoustic source. The cut-off distance is the most important factor effecting the noise generation. Acoustic pressure is proportional to 2.8, which shows the same scaling index as the experimental result. In this paper, the cut-off distance is found to be the dominant parameter offecting the acoustic pressure.
To elucidate the mechanism associated with the development of heavy precipitation system, a field experiment was carried out in Jejudo (or Jeju Island) and Marado, Korea from 22 June to 12 July 2006. The synoptic atmospheric conditions were analyzed using the National Centers for Environmental Prediction-National Center for Atmospheric Research's (NCEP/NCAR) reanalyzed data, weather maps, and sounding data. The kinematic characteristics of each precipitation system were investigated by dual Doppler radar analysis. During the field experiment, data of four precipitation events with more than 20 mm rainfall were collected. In F case (frontal precipitation), a typical Changma front was dominant and the observation field was fully saturated. However there was no convective instability near the surface. LF case (low pressure accompanied with Changma front) showed strong convective instability near the surface, while a strong convergence corresponded to the low pressure from China accompanied with Changma front. In FT case (Changma front indirectly influenced by typhoon), the presence of a convective instability indicated the transport of near surface, strong additional moisture from the typhoon 'EWINIAR'. The convergence wind field was ground to be located at a low level. The convective instability was not significant in T case (precipitation of the typhoon 'EWINIAR'), since the typhoon passed through Jejudo and the Changma front was disappeared toward the northeastern region of the Korean peninsula. The kinematic (convergence and divergence) characteristics of wind fields, convective instability, and additional moisture inflow played important roles in the formation and development of heavy precipitation.
The present report is dealt with the spiders which are caught within a space of $1m^2$ of rice paddy field where was harvested the rice crops in Jeonbug district, from November 4 to 11, to 1975. 1. Twenty-one species of spiders were caught at the area during the period. Of these the dominant species were Gnathonarium dentatum, Pirate subpiraticus, Gnathonarium gibberum, Oedothorax insecticeps etc. 2. Average density of spiders within a space of $1m^2$ of rice paddy field where rice crops was harvested was as follows: 125 at Iri, 102 at Jinan, 133 at Buan, and 58 at Daejang. 3. The scientific names of spiders which were caught in rice paddy field for the first time in Korea were Gnathonarium gibberum, Enoplognatha japonica, Erigone prominens, Erigonidium graminicola, Theridion octomaculatum, Lycosa pseudoannulata, Dolomedes angustivirgatus. As the result of this survey, fifty-five species of spiders were recorded in rice paddy field of Korea.

Asymmetric tip clearance in an axial compressor induces pressure and velocity redistributions along the circumferential direction in an axial compressor. This paper presents the mechanism of the flow redistribution due to the asymmetric tip clearance with a simple numerical modeling. The flow field of a rotor of an axial compressor is predicted when an asymmetric tip clearance occurs along the circumferential direction. The modeling results are supported by CFD results not only to validate the present modeling but also to investigate more detailed flow fields. Asymmetric tip clearance makes local flow area and resultant axial velocity vary along the circumferential direction. This flow redistribution 'seed' results in a different flow patterns according to the flow coefficient. Flow field redistribution patterns are largely dependent on the local tip clearance performance at low flow coefficients. However, the contribution of the main flow region becomes dominant while the tip clearance effect becomes weak as the flow coefficient increases. The flow field redistribution pattern becomes noticeably strong if a blockage effect is involved when the flow coefficient increases. The relative flow angle at the small clearance region decreases which result in a negative incidence angle at the high flow coefficient. It causes a recirculation region at the blade pressure surface which results in the flow blockage. It promotes the strength of the flow field redistribution at the rotor outlet. These flow pattern changes have an effect on the blade loading perturbations. The integration of blade loading perturbation from control volume analysis of the circumferential momentum leads to well-known Alford's force. Alford's force is always negative when the flow blockage effects are excluded. However when the flow blockage effect is incorporated into the modeling, main flow effects on the flow redistribution is also reflected on the Alford's force at the high flow coefficient. Alford's force steeply increases as the flow coefficient increases, because of the tip leakage suppression and strong flow redistribution. The predicted results are well agreed to CFD results by Kang and Kang(2006).

Thrips populations were monitored in field-cultivated pepper at Gochang, Jeonbuk province, Cheongyang, Chungnam province, and Goesan, Chungbuk province during the field growing seasons of 2017 to 2018, respectively. We classified and quantified thrips population in each plot and year. Most of the monitored thrips were composed of three species: Frankliniella intonsa, F. occidentalis, and Thrips tabaci, respectively. F. intonsa was the dominant species in all the monitoring season. The density of thrips was increased from late June in each field and year with the highest density being recorded in mid-July. Based on the results, management strategy of thrips in red peppers should be evaluated from early June with monitoring and appropriate controls.
This study is for chemical relationships between ginsengs(2, 3 and 4 yr) and soils from three representative soil types of Keumsan, shale(SL), phyllite(PH) and granite(GR). In the weathered soils, the GR is mainly high. Positive relationships are dominant, and negative correlations are shown in the Y-Nb and Nb-Ta pairs. In the field soils, the GR is high while the SL is low. Regardless of the localities, available correlation relationships are dominant in the GR, and dominant in the 3 year area. In the host rocks, high element contents are shown in the GR. Positive relationships, regardless of the localities, are shown in the Zr-Hf, Ta, Nb-Ta and Hf-Ta pairs. In the ginsengs, chemical contents are distinctive with the different ages. Positive relationships are shown in the Y-Nb pair of the SL, Rb-Y pair of the PH, and Rb-Sr pair of the GR. Relative ratios(GR/SL and GR/PH) of the ginsengs suggest that ginsengs from the GR are higher than those of SL and PH while in the comparisons between PH and SL, 2 year ginsengs are high in the SL and 4 year ginsengs are high in the PH. Relative ratios between weathered and field soils (weathered/field) suggest high element contents in the weathered soils from the SL and PH and in the relative ratios(weathered soil/host rock), high element contents in weathered soils. Relative ratios between field soils and ginsengs(field soil/ginseng), regardless of the ages, show several ten and hundred times, suggestive of high contents in the soils. Comparisons with the overall average contents of each area show differences of several ten to hundred times in the SL and PH, and of several to ten times in the GR. These relationships suggest that contents of the ginsengs from the GR are more similar to the soils relative to those of SL and PH.
