The Study on the Basic Properties of Concrete Containing the Domestic Artificial Lightweight Aggregate (국내산 인공경량골재를 이용한 콘크리트의 기초 특성 연구)

  • This study was a result of laboratory test to confirm the porperties of concrete containing the domestic artificial lightweight aggregate. The domestic artificial lightweight aggregate is made with bottom ash which waste material in the thermal power plant. In the experimental result air contents of fresh concrete was measured lower than other artificial lightweight aggregate. This air contents is important for retaining the resistance of freezing and thawing. Therefore air contents of concrete will be considered for retaining the resistance of freezing and thawing when manufacture the concrete containing the domestic artificial aggregate.

  • Most domestic fossil power plant have exceeded 100,000 hours of operation with the severe operating condition. Among the critical components of fossil power plant, high temperature steam pipe system have had a many problems and damage from unstable displacement behavior because of frequent start up and shut down. In order to prevent the serious damage and failure of the critical pipe system in fossil power plant, 3-dimensional displacement measurement system were developed for the on-line monitoring system. 3-D Measurement system was developed with using the LVDT type sensor and rotary encoder type sensor, this system was installed and operated on the real power plant successfully. In the future time, network system of on-line diagnosis for critical pipe will be designed.

  • In this paper, a boiler control system for thermal power plant is configured. The boiler control system for thermal power plant is largely composed of an ABC(Automatic Boiler Control) system and a MBC(Mill Burner Control) system. ABC system controls analog process values, so almost all analog control logic is dealt with in ABC system. On the other hand, MBC system relates to sequence control logic such as MFT logic, Furnace Purge, Safety related logic. Advanced control systems made from advanced countries deal with an ABC system and MBC system in a distributed control system. In this paper, we adopt a DCS as an ABC system and adopt a PLC system as a MBC system to configure a boiler control system for thermal power plant using domestic control system. Finally the validity of the configured boiler control system is shown via simulation using digital simulator for boiler system in thermal power plant.

  • Fourteen African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks occurred in the pig farms in the northwestern region of South Korea, near the border with North Korea, from September 16, 2019 to October 9, 2019. Active and passive surveillance on the ASF-infected farms indicated that the infection was limited only to pigsties where the infected pigs were detected on the farm for the first time before further transmission to other pigsties and farms. This early detection could be one of the pivotal factors for the prompt eradication of ASF in domestic pig farms within 1 month in the northwestern region of South Korea.
