Integer-N 주파수 합성기를 위한 새로운 구조의 프로그램어블 주파수 분주기 설계 (A Design on Novel Architecture Programmable Frequency divider for Integer-N Frequency Synthesizer)

  • Frequency divider selects the channel of the frequency synthesizer. General programmable divider has many flip-flops to realize all integer division value and stability problem by using dual modules prescaler. In this paper, a new architecture of programmable divider is proposed and designed to improve these problems. The proposed programmable divider has only thirteen flip-flops. The programmable divider is designed by 0.65${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS technology and HSPICE. Operating frequency of the programmable divider is 200MHz with a 3V supply voltage.

  • In this paper, we propose an active 90$^{\circ}$ phase divider for application to MMIC. Because of their very large size, conventional passive 90$^{\circ}$ dividers can't be integrated on MMIC. Therefore, highly miniaturized 90$^{\circ}$ dividers are required for a development of highly integrated MMIC. For this reason, active 90$^{\circ}$ divider is indispensable because active phase divider is much smaller than conventional passive dividers, and it can be integrated on MMIC. In this work, we developed active 90$^{\circ}$ divider with emitter inductor, and it was employed for the operation of the balanced mixer in order to verify the performance of the active 90$^{\circ}$ divider. According to the results, it was found that the active 90$^{\circ}$ divider exhibited good RF performances comparable to conventional passive power dividers.

  • Flow divider valve는 한 개의 공급라인에서 두 개 이상의 출력라인으로 유압유를 일정비율로 분배하는 유압제어밸브로서 하중압력이나 공급압력 등에 관계없이 항상 일정비율의 유량분배가 가능해야 한다. 현재 상용제품의 유량분할 정확도는 90~95% 수준이며, 이러한 유량분할오차(Flow dividing error)는 유압시스템에 누적오차로 작용하여 많은 문제점을 야기시키고 있어 보다 고정밀 유량제어가 가능한 Flow divider valve 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 외력을 고려한 스푸울의 거동을 수치적으로 정확하게 조사하여 Flow divider valve의 동특성을 규명함과 동시에 유량분할 오차를 감소시키는 최적설계방안을 제시하고자 한다. 동특성 해석은 일정한 하중저항을 입력신호로 작용하는 경우에 대해서 제시하였으며, 이때의 고정오리피스와 가변오리피스의 단면적 및 스푸울의 단면적 변화에 따른 동특성의 변화를 조사하였다.

  • Output voltage value of AC high voltage source has usually been obtained by measuring the low arm voltage of high voltage divider or the secondary voltage of high voltage transformer. In this study, we have fabricated the AC 400 kV high voltage divider using high voltage electrode and electric field measurement sensor. The dividing ratio of the fabricated 400 kV high voltage divider was evaluated using reference 400 kV capacitive divider. The dividing ratio of 400 kV high voltage divider is found to be 12,322 and has the good linearity within 0.63 % against AC high voltage up to 400 kV. Therefore, the developed 400 kV high voltage divider could evaluate 400 kV high voltage supply and voltage divider used in industry.

나선형 DGS를 이용한 4way Power Divider에 관한 연구 (A Study of 4way Power Divider using Defected Ground Structure with Spiral Shape)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존 Wilkenson Power Divider의 소형화를 위해 마이크로스트립 선로에 DGS를 삽입하였다. 특성 임피던스 70.7$\Omega$$\lambda$/4 마이 크로스트림 선로를 50$\Omega$ 마이크로스트립 선로에 나선형 DGS를 삽입하여 70.7$\Omega$ 선로를 구현하였다. 이 나선형 DGS를 갖는 마이크로스트립 선로의 소형화를 확인하기 위해 각각 3dB Wilkenson Power Divider와 4way Power Divider를 제작하였다. 제작된 3dB Power Divider는 기존의 3dB Power Divider의 70.7$\Omega$ 전송선로의 길이가 31.95mm인 것에 반해 나선형 DGS를 갖는 50$\Omega$ 전송선로는 21.22mm로 약 10mm (약 $30\%$) 정도 길이가 줄었음을 알 수 있다. 또한 이 3dB Power Divider를 사용하여 4way Power Divider를 구현하였다. 이와 같이 마이크로스트립 선로에 DGS를 삽입함으로 인해 선로의 길이를 줄여 소형화 할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

Modified Wilkinson Power Divider for Multiple Harmonics Suppression

  • A new structure of the Wilkinson power divider that can suppress multiple harmonics output is presented The power divider consists of T-type or $\pi$-type capacitive loads and shunt resistors. Experimental results show that this power divider suppresses the second and the third harmonic components to less than -38dB, while maintaining the characteristics of a conventional Wilkinson power divider, featuring an equal power split, a simultaneous impedance matching at all ports and a good isolation between output ports.

Novel Filtering Power Divider with External Isolation Resistors

  • In this paper, a novel filtering power divider with external isolation resistors is presented. The proposed power divider can be considered as an integration of a bandpass filter and a Gysel power divider. Based on the circuit topology, a high-order filtering power divider can be easily realized. Odd- and even-mode models are employed to analyze the filtering and power splitting functions. For demonstration, a third-order filtering power divider operating at 1.5 GHz is designed and implemented. The measured results exhibit an isolation between the output ports that is better than 20 dB at around the center frequency.

Modified Wilkinson Power Divider Using Transmission Lines for Various Terminated Impedances and an Arbitrary Power Ratio

  • This paper introduces a modified Wilkinson power divider that uses uniform transmission lines for various terminated impedances and an arbitrary power ratio. For the designed power ratio, the proposed divider changes only the electrical lengths of the transmission lines between the input and output ports, and those between the output ports and the isolation resistor. In this case, even when various termination impedances of the ports exist, the divider characteristics are satisfied. To verify the feasibility of the proposed divider, two circuits were designed to operate at a frequency of 2 GHz with 2:1 and 4:1 power splitting ratios and various terminated impedances of 40, 70, and $60{\Omega}$ for one circuit, and 50, 70, and $60{\Omega}$ for the other. The measurement and simulation results were in good agreement.

  • A new method to miniaturize ${\lambda}/4$ transmission line of power divider is proposed. The method utilizes simple combination of the shorted coupled-line pair instead of the transmission line with very high impedance and shunt lumped capacitors. The length of ${\lambda}/4$ transmission line of power divider is about 16% over the conventional power divider at 1 GHz.
