Theoretical modelling of post - buckling contact interaction of a drill string with inclined bore-hole surface

  • At present, the time of easy oil and gas is over. Now, the largest part of fossil fuels is concentrated in the deepest levels of tectonic structures and in the sea shelves. One of the most cumbersome operations of their extraction is the bore-hole drilling. In connection with austere tectonic and climate conditions, their drivage every so often is associated with great and diversified technological difficulties causing emergencies on frequent occasions. As a rule, they are linked with drill string accidents. A key role in prediction of these situations should play methods of theoretical modelling. For this reason, there is a growing need for development and implementation of new numerical methods for computer simulation of critical and post-critical behavior of drill strings (DSs). In this paper, the processes of non-linear deforming of a DS in cylindrical cavity of a deep bore-hole are considered. On the basis of the theory of curvilinear flexible rods, non-linear constitutive differential equations are deduced. The effects of the longitudinal non-uniform preloading, action of torque and interaction between the DS and the bore-hole surface are taken into account. Owing to the use of curvilinear coordinates in the constraining cylindrical surface and a specially chosen concomitant reference frame, it became possible to separate the desired variables and to reduce the total order of the equation system. To solve it, the method of continuation the solution by parameter and the transfer matrix technique are applied. As a result of the completed numerical analysis, the critical states of the DS loading in the cylindrical channels of inclined bore-holes are found. It is shown that the modes of the post-critical deforming of the DS are associated with its irregular spiral curving prevailing in the zone of bottom-hole-assembly. The possibility of invariant state generation during post-critical deforming is established, condition of its bifurcation is formulated. It is shown that infinite variety of loads can correspond to one geometrical configuration of the DS. They differ each from other by contact force functions.

  • 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 급격한 발전과 다양한 게임 기술의 발전으로 인해 게임 품질이 향상되고 게임 장르도 다변화 되었다. 이에 비해 퍼즐게임은 기존의 단순한 게임방식을 고수함으로 인해 점점 위축되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 퍼즐게임의 한계를 벗어날 돌파구를 3차원 퍼즐게임에서 모색하려는 첫 시도이다. 3차원 퍼즐게임에서의 사실적인 퍼즐 조립을 표현하기 위해 조립에 적합한 구조물 처리 과정과 객체간의 정교한 충돌 방법, 물리구조를 활용한 3단계로 구성된 구조물 조립 기법을 설계하고 이를 통해 조립과정에서 연산 비용을 최소화하면서도 구조물 간의 정교한 퍼즐 조립이 가능함을 간단한 실험으로 보인다.

  • 과학적 합리성, 인문학과 사회과학의 상상력과 통찰력, 예술적 창조성을 중요시하는 현대사회의 교육은 지식정보의 단순한 전달과 암기나 기능중심의 교육보다는 역사적 문맥의 폭넓은 이해, 학습자의 반성적 판단력, 창의적 기획력, 의사소통능력, 인지와 감성의 통합, 매체해석과 활용능력을 함양하는 문화예술을 중시하는 방향으로 변화하고 있다. 본 연구는 영상예술분야인 애니메이션의 교육담론 분석을 통해 문화예술교육으로서 가치와 중요성, 향후 방향에 대해 살펴봄을 목적으로 한다. 애니메이션을 활용한 문화예술교육은 영향력이 막강한 예술장르간의 융합, 학제간의 융합을 유도하여 탈장르의 형태로 인간의 삶과 문화를 변화시키며 다양한 교육방법과 실천으로 이어지고 있다. 한편, 국가차원의 문화복지 성격의 예술교육정책이 추진되고, 국민들의 문화예술의 향수권과 사회문화교육이 점차 확대되는 시점에서, 통합적 문화예술로서 애니메이션의 교육적 역할 증대와 학문의 지속적 발전을 위해 애니메이션의 교육학적 역할 재정립, 애니메이션교육의 다양화와 대중화, 애니메이션 전문 교육인력양성, 애니메이션 인프라확대와 종합교육지원시스템 구축이 필요하다.

대기오염관리의 새로운 접근방법 (New Approach to Air Quality Management)

  • International concern over the environmental pollution is ever increasing, and diversified countermeasures must be devised in Korea also. Global trend, damages, problems and countermeasures with respect to issues mentioned in the Rio Declaration, such as prevention of ozone layer destruction, reduction of migratory atmospheric pollution between neighboring countries, and prevention of global greenhouse effect, were discussed in this report. Conclusion of the report is summarized as follows : A. Measurement, Planning and Monitoring (1) Development and implementation of a global network for measurement and monitoring from the global aspects such factors as related to acid rain(Pioneer substances, pH, sulfate, nitrate), effect of global temperature(Air temperature, $CO_2$, $CH_4$, CFC, $N_2O$) and destruction of ozone layer($CFC_S$). (2) Establishment of network system via satellite monitoring movement of regional air mass, damage on the ozone layer and ground temperature distribution. B. Elucidation of Present State (1) Improvement and development of devices for carbon circulation capable of accurately forecasting input and output of carbon. (2) Developmental research on chemical reactions of greenhouse gas in the air. (3) Improvement and development of global circulation model(GCM) C. Impact Assessment Impact assessment on ecosystem, human body, agriculture, floodgate, land use, coastal ecology, industries, etc. D. Preventive Measures and Technology Development (1) Development and consumption of new energy (2) Development of new technology for removal of pioneer substances (3) Development of substitute matter for $CFC_S$ (4) Improvement of agriculture and forestry means to prevent the destruction of ozone layer and the greenhouse effect of the globe (5) Improvement of housing to prevent the destruction of ozone layer and the greenhouse effect of the globe (6) Development of new technology for probing underground water (7) Preservation of forest (8) Biomass 5. 트리즈 기반 OLED 증착 공정의 글래스 열 변형 개선 (TRIZ-based Improvement of Glass Thermal Deformation in OLED Deposition Process)

  • The global small and mid-sized display market is changing from thin film transistor-liquid crystal display to organic light emitting diode (OLED). Reflecting these market conditions, the domestic and overseas display panel industry is making great effort to innovate OLED technology and incease productivity. However, current OLED production technology has not been able to satisfy the quality requirement levels by customers, as the market demand for OLED is becoming more and more diversified. In addition, as OLED panel production technology levels to satisfy customers' requirement become higher, product quality problems are persistently generated in OLED deposition process. These problems not only decrease the production yield but also cause a second problem of deteriorating productivity. Based on these observations, in this study, we suggest TRIZ-based improvement of defects caused by glass pixel position deformation, which is one of quality deterioration problems in small and medium OLED deposition process. Specifically, we derive various factors affecting the glass pixel position shift by using cause and effect diagram and identify radical reasons by using XY-matrix. As a result, it is confirmed that glass heat distortion due to the high temperature of the OLED deposition process is the most influential factor in the glass pixel position shift. In order to solve the identified factors, we analyzed the cause and mechanism of glass thermal deformation. We suggest an efficient method to minimize glass thermal deformation by applying the improvement plan of facilities using contradiction matrix in TRIZ. We show that the suggested method can decrease the glass temperature change by about 23% through an experiment.

교통약자를 위한 공항이용서비스시스템 개선방안 연구 (An Approach to Improving the Quality of Airport Services for the Mobility Handicapped)

  • The types and characteristics of services that airport service systems provide have recently been diversified and specialized to meet various needs of users and their travelling activities. A service for the mobility handicapped is one of the newly demanded services. However, current services for them, which are provided by most of the Korean airports, are not sufficient to satisfy their needs. Additionally, there exist a lot of constraints in the use of those services, which makes it difficult for the mobility handicapped to use them effectively. Another problem is that a lot of the mobility handicapped do not even know that airports now offer services specialized for them. Considering that Korean airports have been recognized as a top-level service provider for about decades, it can be claimed that such an inferior quality of services for the mobility handicapped should be urgently improved. With this issue in mind, this study aims to propose an approach to improving the quality of airport services for the mobility handicapped. Firstly, we examined the actual conditions of the services for the mobility handicapped and identified the limitations of the current services, based on the results of literature review and questionnaire survey against the mobility handicapped and stakeholders of the services currently provided. Then we established a set of design improvement requirements and suggested several ways to improve the services for the mobility handicapped. Finally, we pointed out several issues to be resolved to design better specialized services for the mobility handicapped.

  • 글로벌 시장 환경에서 대량생산을 통해 규모의 경제를 실현하는 동시에 고객들의 다양한 요구사항을 충족시키기 위해 대량맞춤화가 경영혁신의 새로운 패러다임으로 자리를 잡아가고 있다. 또한 이러한 대량맞춤화를 실현하기 위해 제품 플랫폼으로부터 다양한 제품들을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 제품개발 방법들이 사용되고 있다. 이 방법들의 핵심 개념은 제품 플랫폼으로서 이러한 방법은 다품종 소량의 시장 환경에서 더욱 효과적이다. 본 연구에서는 그룹기법 개념을 이용하여 해군 함정의 플랫폼 군을 구성하는 방법을 제시하고, 이것을 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 매트릭스 형태로 제안하였다. 또한 플랫폼 방식으로 해군 함정을 도입 시 비용효과가 있는지 분석하였고, 적용 가능한 요구조건 범위를 제시하였다. 이 연구는 함정 획득과정에서 비용절감과 기간 단축 등의 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 최근, 4차 산업혁명의 도래에 따라 다양해진 산업기반과 안정된 고용시장은 대도시 중심의 제조업에 관한 관심으로 이어지고 있다. 서울의 제조업의 부가가치 및 제품의 경쟁력을 높이기 위해서는 특화된 스마트 기반의 기술 및 생산의 확산, 기획과 생산 유통에 따른 여러 주체들 간의 협업 체계의 조성이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 서울시 동대문 일대 도심제조업의 활성화와 디자이너들이 직접 생산 가능한 인프라 구축을 위한 서비스를 기획하고 이를 어플리케이션으로 개발하였다. 제안하는 콘텐츠는 자신만의 개성 있는 물건을 제작하고자 하는 제작자들에게 동대문, 청계천, 을지로 일대에서 재료를 구입할 수 있는 장소 및 가공업체의 정보를 제공하는 체험 형 어플리케이션이다.

중국의 선(禪)사상으로 본 무인양품디자인의 특성에 관한 연구 (Research on MUJI's Design Features from Chinese Zen Thought)

  • 4차 산업혁명시대에 진입하면서 디자인은 초연결사회의 다매체간의 융합으로 진행되고 있다. 특히 전통문화와 브랜드의 디자인 이념과의 융합은 디자인 영역에서 큰 화제로 다뤄지고 있다. 이러한 지점에서 중국의 선사상과 디자인이 융합된 무인양품의 디자인은 매우 주목할 만하다. 중국의 선(禅)사상은 노자와 장자의 사상을 흡수하여, "무상(無相)의 모습, 무주(無住)의 근본, 무념(無念)의 종지"를 목적으로 삼아 유가철학과 도가철학, 그리고 미학이 공존하는 독특한 사상 체계를 형성하였다. 그렇다면 전통문화로서 선사상은 무인양품의 디자인 속에서 어떤 모습으로 나타고 있는가? 본 연구는 이러한 문제의식에서 출발해 중국 선사상이 반영된 무인양품의 디자인 특징을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 중국의 선사상을 지닌 무인양품의 디자인 특징은 미니멀리즘 조형, 단일적 색채, 생태적 소재, 인간성 체험의 네 가지로 귀결됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

비행장갑설계를 위한 사용실태분석 및 개선안 개발 (Usage Analysis and Design Development for Pilot Gloves)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the wearing condition on gloves for pilots and to suggest the developments for pilot gloves design. This survey was performed with 99 pilots and the questionnaires included items about discomfort, materials and problems when wearing pilot gloves. The respondents felt uncomfortable on the finger tip, the hollow area of the hand and the end of thumb when they move their hands with the gloves. They replied that the finger length, palm length, and circumference of the fingers did not match well. Also they complained there was severe abrasion in the tip of the thumb, finger tips and the middle of the palm of the gloves. The result of these analyses supports the following suggestions. It is necessary to improve durability by applying the additional materials to the severely worn parts. Punching on the glove materials could improve sweat rate and ventilation, and careful washing should be accompanied to prevent the occurrence of linters and transformation after laundering. And it is needed to prepare an accurate and more diversified size system and to design the gloves fitted to the individual hands. With these in mind, it is required to propose solutions for pilot gloves with reference to the survey results in order to design appropriate pilot gloves in terms of movement, size and material. It was concluded that an analysis of the wearing condition and developments are useful for ergonomics pilot gloves design.
